Wren getting corrected for saying someone's name wrong just to call Michael Jordan "Michael Jackson" and no one say a word is hilarious 9:57
Thank you! I thought I was going crazy!
The comment I was looking for lol
I wonder if it's a callback to when Wren did that several times on the Space Jam episode of VFX Artists React.
Yes your are right
I left a comment about this cause I thought no one else had, but I'm glad to see someone else noticed even before I did! haha
Pluto actually got promoted from "Smallest Planet" to "King of the Kuiper Belt" so I'm fine with it not being a planet. (Yes, I do know that Eris is more massive)
His Majesty Pluto
Why can’t we name other planets with cool names like these?
@@that1goldenguy453 because their names are a description of them. They need to have a Systematic designation to them.
Haha i agree with the classification to demote it, but i think internet historian had the solution, teach there's 8 main planets, but also all the kuiper belt objects.
All hail the king
Fun fact: Charon was named after the ferryman of the same name, of the river Styx in greek myth, *but accidentally so.* The guy who discovered/named Charon wanted to name it after his wife, but make the name sound more "science-y." This is likely why both the pronounciation KAI-RON/KAIR-ON and SHAIR-ON are deemed acceptable, as the former is literally the name of the greek mythological figure and the latter is what the discoverer intended.
Hate to be both the nerd emoji and the know it all, but the pronunciation KAI-RON would generally be better better attributed to the centaur Chiron most known for training Greek heroes such as Achilles and Jason.
Also, feel free not to respond to this, I don’t care, for some reason I just had to correct someone on something meaningless. Nothing personal.
@@cameronritchie4073 It would seem that way if you only look at the english spellings of the names. If you look at the phonetic form of Chiron, the "ron" part is denoted with a schwa sign, making it closer to "ren". To make it even more confusing the word that the name quite literally is ("hands") in greek isn't even pronounced with a hard K sound, but sounds more like "h", and the ron part there does sound like "ron".
There's always going to be instances like these when you have two languages with alphabets that don't line up neatly referring to the same thing. The fact that the names are very similar doesn't help.
I find this fitting because Pluto was the Roman god of the underworld, so it’s fitting that a king would have his ferryman always by his side.
I REALLY love this channel man. Here I am, just browsing through your videos and I find this... it's the PERFECT UA-cam video. It's educational, fun(ny), the right amount of length, has a story, visual effects, character development, a lesson to learn, it's... PERFECT!

I just learned that Michael Jackson had a 46" vertical leap, because of this video... 🤣🤣🤣
Best damn Pluto video I have ever seen.
9:55 Wow. If Michael Jackson could jump 63 feet, imagine how high Michael Jordan could jump.
I wonder how his moonwalk would be affected
HEE-HEE!
lol came to say this same thing.
Lol
Ok, I wanted to make sure this was acknowledged. Thank you.
Mike Brown, the man who discovered Eris which kickstarted Pluto's demotion to the rank of Dwarf Planet wrote a book called "How I Killed Pluto and Why It Had It Coming" which is a hilarious name.
Based
I’m surprised this video didn’t give a shoutout to Mike Brown considering he is currently looking for a massive planet for the same reasons folks were looking for Pluto.
Mike Brown wasn't a real astronomer, coz he failed to clear his neighborhood of similar sized astronomers.
@@robotnoir5299 LOL!
I took some of his classes in undergrad and he has letters from children begging to make Pluto a planet taped to his door lol
Actually, the discovery of Pluto in 1930 turned out to be an incidental finding as the perturbation in the orbit of Uranus that needed to be explained by a ‘Planet X’ would require far more mass than Pluto. So it wasn’t based on the calculations. It was just chance it happened to be there. Kinda even more interesting when you consider how freaking big space is and how small Pluto is.
Humans considered dwarfs are still humans. Thank you for coming to my TED talk :)

But seriously. I wish I had the time to make video of this calibre, great job.
Yooo!! It's Scott!
you know its a good space video when scott comments on it
Collaborate!
Hey everyone, it's Scott. One of the best science and tech channels on youtube.
This seems like a question you could tackle:
By the definition of a planet that Wren gave, is Neptune not a planet either? Pluto's orbit intersects with Neptune's, so they are both in the same "neighborhood" celestially speaking and Neptune hasn't swallowed up all the Kuiper belt objects either, so does it not also fail the planet definition test?
Tom Cardy's 'H.S' has brought me back to this video, Pluto's been getting a lot of love again lately!
"Clearing the neighborhood " is one of the funniest things I've heard. Love it❤❤
09:56 Wren says Michael Jackson instead of Michael Jordan xD.
Great video, the effort to make this kind of videos is awesome.

Wren, you have to do more episodes like this! Amazing ♥️
I love math, science, astronomy, astrophysics and computers.
One thing, Michael Jackson isn’t Michael Jordan!
i was wondering if anyone else noticed that. i feel seen.
@@MostlyOneHanded I actually thought it was an intentional nod/wink after the "Graham Norton" name mix-up earlier but now I'm not so sure...
@@Notveryclever1 I'm on this boat, but with our beloved Wren we can never know, the dude passed out on camera celebrating a Super Smash Bros Tournament Win. Total Legend.
I used to call the basketball player Michael Jackson as a kid, so that was funny to me.

Such a great presentation. So much energy, excitement, and wealth of information in a great format! Love you guys!
These kinda videos are so fun yet informative. Looking forward to more of these!
I'd honestly LOVE for Wren to just Explain Celestial Objects for like, an entire series.

Omg yes he needs to
would definitely watch this show
Started watching your videos a week ago and this is like 50th video I have watched. You put a lot of work in everything. Really loved that.
This video is actually so awesome. I'm a huge space nerd so this is right up my alley. Thanks you, Corridor Crew for bring us this absolute MASTERPIECE of a video.
I love when Wren produces his own educational videos! I wish someone would hire him to produce an entire series.
Only one issue… I’m pretty sure he referred to Michael Jordan as “Michael Jackson.” ….so uh…. There’s that.
I too noticed it
he does that a lot as baits
"at double the size of Shaquale Onale"
lol, did not catch that, it is hilarious :D
It’s wild because it’s not his first time either. He did it twice in a single vfx react episode before.
Your storytelling abilities are amazing! ❤ As you were saying Michael Jackson but showing Michael Jordan I remembered that Pluto was labeled a dwarf planet and then you remembered it too! 😂 Phenomenal presentation!
Liar🤣
cant believe the king of pop had a 46 inch vertical 😳
First he calls Billy Bob Thornton "Graham Norton", then he calls Michael Jordan "Michael Jackson". Great video though!
Very glad to see you guy’s actually presenting real science. As a professional astronomer, I really appreciate you guys sticking to science!
This was utterly delightful in every sense of the word. Thank you for sharing your passion for knowledge with us, Wren!
It's TIME!!!
I sub to you nice channel btw
I would think that you would have more likes and comments since your almost at 1m subscribers
True
Solar balls Uranus is here sucks
YAAAAAAY
I came here expecting to be mad about people being unwilling to change. Instead, I found an amazing educational piece of art. You have earned my subscription.
I think Wren did it in a way to lead other Pluto Planet fans to accepting it's new factual status without making anyone feel condescended or being mocked. This way they'd much more easily go, "OOOOOh that's why, the Kuiper belt exists!" instead of ignoring the facts.
Also it pulled in people like you and I who accepted the reclassification and we're expecting some cherry picked information or other side step to justify other beliefs.
Which also is an example of the emotional connection we have to knowledge and opinions, so overall Grade A way to pull in several different audiences and provide a solid education with amazing visuals, I learn a lot more about Pluto than I thought I would, it's a cool ass dwarf planet.
@@TheBobasbro Yeah, it's very well done.
so wait your only justification as to why you dont want pluto to be a planet is cus you dont wanna memorize 87 other planets??? smh yall lazy or sumn
@@PajamaOperator I already have enough to remember, I don't need to remember 87 more things.
@@noahpilarski then don’t 🤷🏻♂️ but doesn’t mean they don’t have to be planets
I loved this video! I've never been emotionally connected to Pluto and I was glad this video wasn't trying to refute the reasons Pluto isn't a full planet Instead you went beyond that, covering WHY it's not a planet, and even emphasized that it's wonderful despite not being a normal planet. Great work!
Just wanna say, I love all your videos about planets and space, etc. I’m a middle school science teacher and I’ve shown a few of your videos to my class and made assignments out of them, and they love the videos! Even the ants one. 😂
I am glad to finally have this statement from one of my favourite astronomers confirmed: "When I was a child there was thought to be nine planets... but there are now... ninety planets!"
Thanks Wren!
just wait until they find out about Gǃkúnǁʼhòmdímà and Gǃòʼé ǃHú.

Put one way, I think the argument of whether Pluto is a "planet" is like asking whether or not a Little Person is a "person".
A dwarf planet is a planet.
Also: a "square" fits the definition of "rectangle". You're welcome. 💙
This is definitely the most I’ve learned from one of these. It’s also the best put together from VFX to writing to narrative and emotion. The score and sound design was beautifully done. Super interesting too!
I work in an elementary school in third grade and they're learning about space right now (they literally made a space diorama last Friday, 3 days ago), and now I'm very tempted to send this to the teacher to see if they can watch it. Glad it's a clean video too that kids can watch.

Dang i teared up when you rammed all the other bodies into pluto thus changing it into something totally different. Just gotta accept it as it is.
Absolutely love the Jeremy Johns "Now it's a party" reference made me laugh out loud
One of my new favorite facts is that, at one point, Pluto was actually referred to as “Planet X”.
Also, was that a Jeremy Jahns “Yeah, now it’s a party!”? I respect it.
Exactly, another human who noticed the possible Jeremy Jahns reference
That's not exactly correct.
After Neptune was found to have a particular orbit that could be explained with the gravitational influence of a certain mass (not too different from the mass of Earth if I'm not mistaken), it was theorized the existence of an undiscovered planet, Planet X.
So Planet X is technically "the planet who mainly influence Neptune's orbit".
When Pluto was discovered, some thought it was Planet X, but it was observed that its mass wasn't enough to explain Neptune's orbit, so it became Pluto, the 9th planet, and the search for Planet X continued.
When Eris was discovered a similar thing happened, but again, Eris wasn't enough to explain Neptune's orbit, so first it was called the 10th planet, and then it was demoted to dwarf planet alongside Pluto.
As of today NASA has debunked Planet X existence and alternative explanations to Neptune's orbit exist, but there are people still supporting the idea of an additional planet in our system.
Should have been called "Planet IX"
Planet X is not Pluto. Has never been. Planet X is for tenth. Pluto was instantly known to not be big enough to perturb Neptune. Not enough mass to create enough gravity. So now we wait for them to find planet X. Should be rocky. up to 15 times the size of earth. If you want to go down the rabbit hole look up how many of the scientist who have claimed to have found it are alive. Also try googling Nibiru or Planet Nibiru. It's a interesting conspiracy.
JJ is the goat
