I really need to strengthen my prayer life and to stop repeating myself and asking over and over again. I now know to pray scripture thank you for that side note. I often ask God to draw me closer I want a better relationship with God. I feel so distant

Thank you both pastor 🙏 for your wonderful message and guidance I needed to hear this.. I wanted to share I do pray often but for some reason 90% of the time when I pray it’s not about asking for anything it’s about giving things to God and I get so emotional and I cry I can’t stop crying and I am lost for words at times! Is this normal to cry so much when I talk to God I know in the Bible say cry out to me but I feel every time I do that! I feel so guilty sometime it’s not about putting on a show I just feel so emotional and connected with God I love him so much! If I’m in public Even I give thanks to God and I gets so emotional as well and people look at me like what is wrong with me!😢❤

Our aunt just passed away today and she said that I have to pray for myself... I don't know how.... She was a very involved in the church and even ran it. She always prayed for everyone. How am I going to get by without her?
I find myself feeling overwhelmed in terms of what to pray about. Do I pray for sick friends and relatives? Do I pray for our political leaders? Do I pray for my daughters? I cant do all of this every time I pray or I'll never get started or finish... im frustrated.

Am not sure if you got the answer to your question about prayer yet but I just wanted to let you know that in our church we use the A.C.T.S model of prayer which is A-Adoration(Begin your prayer by Adoring God) C-Confession(confess of your sins) T-Thanksgiving(give thanks to God for all He has done) S-Supplication(present your requests to God) I find it quite easy to pray that way and would be a good way to start if you're not sure of how to pray. God said my word does not return to him void. Know the scripture and his will and pray scripture that lines up with your need and prayer life n need becomes productive.
I've noticed when speaking to the Lord when I keep prayer simple and not repetitive then prayer seems more powerful . And also when I pray I speak to god in a way I know I completely trust him and put my full Faith in him .
God talks to me when I talk to him. Without the Bible. You can hear Holy Spirit. David didn't have Psalms to read.... Or anything else. Yes answers are in scripture, but what about the subjects that are your own and aren't in scripture? That's when HS speaks through other people or straight to my heart

Question? If God has plans laid out already why should we pray for miracles and etc. Can we change his mind about his plan through prayer.
