Hey quick question, do you think it would make a difference if you put the Stegowrap first on the walls, then put the foam board on top of it instead of the foam board first then the Stego on top?
You want to make sure that if there is ever any condensation on the concrete walls that it can go down into the soil instead of on top of the liner. So insulation on the walls and liner on top of the insulation is slightly better. Also, if you ever have ANY standing water or muddy ground in the crawl you will need to do a sump and perimeter drain as well.
@tonto_bob why haven't I seen it installed over the insulation then? Every install I have seen, even by pros has been liner on wall and spray foam or rigid board ontop
6:56 why not use Stego tack tape instead of those screws? Or the tack tape and fewer screws or bars? Also, you don't need to cut excess material from the top. Instead, place it where you want it up top and leave the excess below and then fold it. Other than that, bang up job!
Why was the insulation (fiberglass insulation) not installed between the floor joist after the job was done? Is it not needed when the crawl space is encapsulated?
Air Sealing and insulating all exterior concrete walls accomplishes way more that fiberglass between the joists and does not allow bugs and mice to make a home there. also fiberglass absorbs humidity and holds it near the joists rotting out the wood faster if there is ever a humidity issue in the future
@@Mrcaffinebean There is, but then you have to wonder if there’s other important information that you’re missing because you shut off the audio. To put it another way, there isn’t a control that allows you to ONLY omit the music.

If your garage is not heated and cooled and part of the house thermal envelope, still needs insulation!

Ugh, this music. I thought we all knew to skip the music.
There is a volume control on your device which allows you to skip the music.
