I have a parrot with my flower . They’re ok . But the flower was trying to be a boss but everything is ok now . I got 1 male 1 female flower and 1 male 1 female parrot
I have one sb srd fh that is a little over 6 inches that lives with 3 king kong parrots and three polar blue parrots. The fh is definitely the tank boss but they all basically swim around and are chill with each other.
This is really interesting. I had 4 green terrors where the dominate was constantly attacking the rest of the group with no brake all day long. It was also eating the most all fish were basically hiding away from him at all times. My question is would you consider leaving a fish with the flower horn continuously or this could be to much? And what about feeding him life fish just so he can get pumped up by hunting down other fish?
I have one flowerhorn that I can leave the parrot with full time. But the others would kill it in a short time. Although having full meals and killing feeder fish may work temporarily it won't really solve you're problems. I would say the best thing you could do it to have many hiding spaces for the other less dominant fish to use. It is common to have the fighting with cichlids and one being dominant.
Could work with silver dollars possibly but the parrots having cichlid blood they can probably handle a little more stress and try to flare up at the flowerhorn as well.
I’m still confused why are u doing that what does it accomplish? Wouldn’t u want the fh to be chill? No going after the hamster wheel constantly? Or is that what happens over time like this?
I put the fluorhorn fish with the parrot, but the fluorine strikes the parrot. Can I leave them or put them between them, knowing that the fluorine is a little bigger?
I wild have to agree. You shouldn't be using a parrot fish like this. Wow!! How about you just try a female flowerhorn. The humane way. Parrot fish deserves a real tank and mates. Try and make money another way. I have 2 male FH and 1 female. They spawn and I didnt have to do it this cruel way.
With any Flowerhorn grooming the goal is to bring the fish to its full potential in Kok, body, fins and color. This is partially achieved by making the fish feel like the Dominant male of it's space which will help them display themselves at their best with their natural Hormones.

That's pretty cool that they all get along.
Also got a peacock female and male . They all fought for a bit. No injury’s or scars . But they found out that the flower was boss
I tried that but all they did was fight so I had to separate them

I think this gets the flowerhorn to show better colors. It gets to display its dominance and feel strong but the wheel keeps the fish safe.

You will need to separate them or the flowerhorn will most likely kill the parrotm
I will separate them with insulation and after a while I will remove the insulation and see the result
I’m going to get a red tail golden arowana in 4 more weeks to join the tank
What country are you in? That is really cool
Thanks buddy . One is 4 cm and mostly all of my fish is 7/9 cm so they’re still small
Calgary , Alberta , Canada
