In John Jesus says..." and what is the will of my father?... to believe on the one He sent".... that is the Fathers will.....to.put our belief and faith in Jesus.

That sounds like works salvation. The truth is we’re not going to heaven because of what WE do, we’re saved by believing on what Jesus did

The parallel passage in Luke 17:26-36 should also make it clear that you want to be taken. It says not to try to return to your house and don't love your life, also don't look back like Lot's wife. If you were staying; of course you would return to your house, of course you wouldn't be losing your life, and you wouldn't have any capability to look back, because you wouldn't be going anywhere. The admonition to not look back is perhaps the most clear that the righteous are being taken here. The only way you could even possibly look back is if you are leaving.

God bless you all brother and sisters...if you will notice here the reapers(the holy angels) first gather up all the tares to be burned in the fire! Any grain farmer knows the reality of this process specifically chosen by the Lord to illustrate this scenario...it's more or less a simultaneous event but we do see here a definite distinction and the text clearly clarifies the tares are gathered up first to be bound in bundles to be destroyed first and then...I see it this way...as The Apostle Paul declares it's is "at the last trump" you will plainly see by careful and prayful study that this is revealed unto us by scripture the last is the seventh in the book of the Revelation...this the the first resurrection and it is at this time we are changed when our mortal bodies are glorified and we who are alive upon earth whose names are written in the Lambs book of Life do not precede the dead in CHRIST but they are raised first and then we follow to be caught up and meet CHRIST in the air!! The wheat and tares remain growing together in the field until the very end! The end of days harvest is not two separate events!! The LORD BLESS YOU ALL WITH THE PEACE OF HIS EVER ABIDING PRESENCE!! 🙏☝️💒✝️
1Co 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
1Th 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Rev 10:7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets
Rev 11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
Rev 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. View more
Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
Mat 13:30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn

Your conclusion is not in context to the preceding verses. The ones taken away are taken away to judgment. Jesus answered where to: wherever the bodies are there are the eagles gathered together. Death, vultures, judgment.

I want to be taken away. Lot was taken out of Sodom. Noah was taken out of the flood. The greek for "taken" can also be translated as "received." One is received and the other is left. Maranatha!

Well I guess you've never read Luke 17 verse 36 you don't want to be taken just like they were in the days of Noah the flood came and took them all the way took and takin have the same meaning the one taken was taken by deception was deceived the one left was the one staying doing God's work

“Taken” means taken into captivity according to Zechariah‬ ‭14:1-2
“Behold, the day of the LORD is coming, And your spoil will be divided in your midst. For I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem; The city shall be taken, The houses rifled, And the women ravished. Half of the city shall go into captivity, But the remnant of the people shall not be cut off from the city.”
      ‭‭

@@theworshipfamily38 thanks for the reply. Zech was written in Hebrew and I believe you are correct. One taken in Luke 17 and Matt 24 was written in Greek and the verb's meaning is to receive as in John 14:3 (paralambano). In addition, one taken must be pre-trib because life is good (eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, building and getting married). That won't be the case at the end of the great tribulation. Everybody is hiding in a cave (Rev 6:15-17) and freaking out (Luke 21:26).

You may want to see the ARAMAIC VERSION OF THIS CHAPTER .
It states,{ paraphrasing-} " one taken captive, the other left."
This statement correlates with : REVELATION 13: 10 " "If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity they will go. If anyone is to be killed with the sword, with the sword they will be killed." This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of God's people.
    "
Some will be martyrs, see REVELATION 2:9 " 8To the angel of the church in Smyrna write: These are the words of the First and the Last, who died and returned to life. 9I know your affliction and your poverty- though you are rich! And I am aware of the slander of those who falsely claim to be Jews, but are in fact a synagogue of Satan. 10Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Look, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison to test you, and you will suffer tribulation for ten days. Be faithful even unto death, and I will give you the crown of life.…"
There will be tribulation . -- Deuteronomy 4:30

In the case of Noe and the flood, you don't want to be taken away in the flood , those that perished were taken away in the flood. In the case of Lot, he was told to leave Sodom, he wasn't taken away, by leaving he was spared. Those that remained in Sodom were taken out, perished, by fire and brimstone from heaven. This is one of the most misinterpreted scriptures. In Luke 17 v 35-36 Jesus tells his disciples, two women will be grinding together, the one shall be taken the other left. Two men shall be in the field, one shall be taken the other left. His disciples then asked him, "Where LORD?" And here in is the answer, Jesus tells them, "wheresoever the body is there will the eagles be gathered together ". That doesn't sound to me like they're taken or raptured into heaven but more like destroyed, as in the flood or fire and brimstone. That's my understanding. If you don't agree that's ok, Christian's should not argue or fight with one another about religion topics/scriptures.

I am looking at Matthew 24:40 -41 differently but reading the rest of the verses. The ones taken were the unfaithful and they were sent out of the Kingdom

in the end when jesus comes back there are going to be two raptures one for the wicked purged out of the earth and the second one the saints to jesus in isreal to start the new kingdom

  • @mb1631

This is not the rapture..Thier are many judgements that take place at the Lords appearing. This is one of them. Those taken away are taken away in judgement. Those left will populate the millennial earth.

Yes, correct but the conclusion is inconsistent. Why??? I simplify, if the coming of the son of man is like to in the days of Noah people are eating, marrying and...etc. Very clear that in the days of Noah were in the last days because in the Christian escathology the advent ( coming ) of Christ or the second coming will fall in the end times ( the last days). So they are the same_ they are in the last days..What happened in the days of Noah before, as I examine, that before the flood came God told Noah that he would end all flesh because he saw people are sinning. Meaning people were engaged in worldly things kept sinning. So in the time of Christ very clear people will indulge in sexuall immorality, murder, terrorism....etc. For what is the purpose of the Messiah other than to save mankind from sin. Let me go back in the time of Noah did the world ended. Very big No. Did all flesh end. Big No. The world was still the same. If the world ended definitely the Bible lied. Why? In the book of Ecclesiastes it says a generation comes and a generation goes the world remains forever. I therefore conclude that in the time of the son of man the world will not end. It will not violate what is stated in the book of Ecclesiastes. What do I mean of end of the world is the end of the evil world and the beginning of a new world, the kingdom of God. Now when Jesus came did the world end.. Again no. But people were purified became holy and became his disciples. The sick were cured. The blind had there sight back. Sins were forgiven. People, who beleived in Jesus, were cleaned and purified. The same as those who believed in Noah were saved by believing in him and embarking the ark. So the end of the world is the end of the evil world and the beginning of a new world. In what manner by purification. A world centering upon God. All future actions, and activities God will be there. No more sins, no more sadness. No more bad news. Nobody will commit murder No more ebola, Mers Sars. All they will hear on that day will be good news. Kingdom of God will come. They will be his people and he will be there God. God dwells among them. Sad to say, I will not be there anymore.

1 corinthians 3 11For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, 13their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. 14If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. 15If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved-even though only as one escaping through the flames.
