Man, these videos are really good. I've not been a subscriber for very long, but between this and the custom collectables, I'm glad I am now. Keep up the awesome work.
Magazine not a clip. The scar is a polymer and aluminum rifle not steel. I believe the one you have in technically the SCAR-L Mk 16 Standard. Sucks that you couldn't get a full scale replica in your country. But a smaller scale better then nothing. If your ever in the States I can recommend a few places to go try one in real life.
Brilliantly done btw, but just a note ... Batman has a scar L in the movie (L= Light, fires the standard nato 5.56 round, hence the curved magazine) But your model, is a scar H, heavy, which fire the 7.62 nato round, hence the strait magazine!.
Chris said that to be convention friendly it needs to have the orange tip Which made start thinking.... What if a guy took a real gun and painted the tip orange, would it still be convention friendly Not that I really care about what the guy is gonna do with the gun, it's just a quick taught
Yeah, it depends on the way the guy is holding it, if it looks like it's a bit heavy, confront him. If it looks like he can throw it hard and hear the plastic rattling then it's fine
Its usually either close quarters combat (CQC) or close quarters battle (CQB). The latter is not usually used when talking about weapons but more for military units, while the first describes weapons. Hope that clears it up. :D
I love his vids but they always put chills down my back because I always spot the most weird looking bugs that I assure you can only be found in Australia
The SCAR-L, for "light", is chambered in the 5.56×45mm NATO cartridge and the SCAR-H, for "heavy", fires 7.62×51mm NATO. Both are available in Long Barrel and Close Quarters Combat variants. The scar L is the scar cqb lol just wanted to help you out with that
+The KillaKlown neither is a suppressor a sniper add on, but it's okay, he's Australian. And their is no such thing as a Scar QCB. What he has is a small SCAR-H CQC.
love, love, love what you did with the gun. awesome job. i would really like if you did a boba fett toy. please. thanks. and like always keep up the great work
Very cool video. The sling in the movie looks like a leather 1907 Sling. These are still available today. Neatsfoot oil is an excellent leather product to make it appear aged-broke in without damaging the leather.
Hey Chris. I've loved all the work on the bat-fleck suits, but I was wondering if you'd ever do a Robin BvS costume (with all the joker spray paint on it). It's a costume I've thought about doing and I'd love to hear your opinion on it.
To be fair it looks pretty darn realistic after what you did Chris because it's sort of what you would expect a battle worn weapon to look like, although I would ha added some dirt effects on parts of the weapon to make it look like it's been through that desert scene it's in.
2:50 - Chris.... Seeing you use precious EVA foam like this makes me heart cry. Please, don't waste that! it's the best material ever created for cosplayers.
I managed to get evike airsoft guns shipped to me, and i live in Melbourne. Funnily enough, i was able to get the scar l eglm which i believe is the one you wanted. Cannot wait to see the finished costume.
you should do deadpool! I know so many people do it but I think your size and stature would be great for a deadpool cosplay dude, I'm doing one but I'm not exactly deadpool accurate in size but its my first time cosplaying so I'm excited! anyway please keep up the great work Chris!
The front part attached to the barrel is a suppressor. The gun you have the the Scar H the heavy version. While the scar you want would be the L version L standing for light. The gun guy in me had to say something but it's still a scar and both are fantastic.
Great paintjob... I've never had such a smooth "spray-paint" coloring... there's always a drip in the gun, somewhere... any suggestion how to make a smooth spray?
Hey Chris, you should realy keep the underbarrel grenadelauncher that came with the SCAR, because it is the one used by Batman to shoot the Kryptonite grenade at Superman and Doomsday in the Movie. Maybe you can build a cool replica from it. I believe it is called the FN MK 13😉
I watch a lot of your videos but can't find the video with you suited head to toe in the complete 'Knightmare Batman' outfit you made. Can you give me a link plz so I can check it out. You do such great work!
Nice, nice, nice! However, I thought you were going to paint the gun, since about 1/3 of it is clearly olive green on the hot toys figure (the upper part of the casing? - don't know the correct term). I expected something like: "5 hours later..." XD
Chris! your costume is looking more and more awesome with every upload! when will it be complete? also you more excited for the nightmare version or the regular batfleck costume?
That's a replica of the SCAR MK17 or SCAR-H, it is a battle rifle that fires 7.62x51mm NATO. The SCAR MK16 or SCAR-L is an assault rifle that fires 5.56x45mm NATO, the SCAR MK16 uses the curved magazines.
have you considered putting lead shot and modelling clay inside to weigh down the weapon? I have found that the way a hollow plastic toy gun moves in one's hand betrays its lightness, and you can tell instantly that it's painted plastic.
the reason it's a straight mag is because the gun itself is based off the Scar-H. not a scar "qcb" (I think you meant CQB). If you wanted a curved mag, you should've bought some dummy STANAG's from Brad (AH) as well. The gun itself is underscaled by about %10, so it wouldve easily fit a 5.56 stanag snugly. You just cut the straight mag off with a dremel or hacksaw and dremel/sand out the insides to fit the 5.56 magazine. With that, you do 2 mods at the same time. cosmetic and removable mag. another mod you could do so that it wont break is reinforce it with a metal barrel all the way through. With that, you could also extend the barrel and just cut the flash hider (muzzle) off and attach it to the end of the reinforcement barrel with some epoxy (to the correct length you based the design off). I know you do mostly proper cosplay, but if you ever want to learn about toy gun mods, join Ground Zero TGC on facebook. they're a singaporean group but there are a lot of aussies (myself included) on it that could give you tips and hints into making an accurate prop.
another great way to get exposed and weathered looking metal on a prop gun is, painting it in silver first,, letting it dry and then painting it in black. and before the black can fully dry you can use a metal sponge to scrape the edges of the gun.
That ending though. So unexpected, but so hilarious.
And he's Australian
+Jose Rodriguez Yes, way back to school
Joseph Hein did it look like I was talking to you
Did it look like Donnie was talking to you? Man, you're on a roll today.
Ye insane unreal Chris 😂
so technically you could just buy a real gun and paint the tip orange?
LeondeBla That’s what I was thinking
LeondeBla yessir
Will not pass for conventions for cosplay.
Unless its a deactivated rifle it won't pass
Sniper add-on? It's called a suppressor
Well fuck me dry.
I was laughing at same thing
Jg36C Gaming That "shoulder strap" is terrible since it blocks out the front sight
He’s from Australia so he wouldn’t know
Scar was in call of duty
"Looks like we got a sniper add on."
It's a silencer ma dude
c0l1n_M4 actually it's a suppressor, if it silenced it completely like there was no sound at all on a real gun, it would be a silencer.
Suicide Kitty Either way, Chris knows nothing about guns
Sushi GAMING yeha
c0l1n_M4 its a suppressor
c0l1n_M4 it’s called a suppressor you dumb fuck trying to act smart ass
I'm curious as to where you got your reference pictures for this gun? I never noticed the Joker card And did you just use screenshots from the film?
+DarkJedi3000 That an also some pics from the new tech book :)
+Cosplay Chris I have no words to begin to say how perfect and epic this is I keep watching this with no words to say how perfect this is.
Probably took screenshots of the trailer
Police said that the government has been a long time
DarkJedi3000
No specific interest in cosplay or toys but your videos are so accessible, watchable, and a joy to watch.
First ever Custom Collectibles that doesn't need Mr.Shoe-Polish
+Regular Guy Customs Lmfao! Good One!
Regular Guy Customs *GASP* NO
Came back just to watch you do this again. Love your content CP Chris !
Gotta love those Sniper addons and shoulder straps 😂😂
Man, these videos are really good. I've not been a subscriber for very long, but between this and the custom collectables, I'm glad I am now. Keep up the awesome work.
QCB?
Do you mean CQB
Its CQC = close quarter combat
Chinese lost in translation i guess :)
Yeah
QCB (quick change barrel)
Shadzywow its CQB... there is no QCB variant for the Scar
Idk how you do it but every time you dry brush something it comes out perfectly. Keep up the good work!
Did anyone else get super distracted by the bug running around his desk?
+Snazzy Sauce OMFG I DID TOO! IT WAS SO ANNOYING
+Snazzy Sauce It's all i watched during the belt part
+Snazzy Sauce Welcome to Australia hahaha
+Cosplay Chris I made the 1911 like yours
Cosplay Chris when I read that I read it in my head with your voice XD
Amazing job. I never noticed the Joker Card on the rifle in the film. A nice touch.
He yelled out America!!!
when he is Australian😂😂
(Like me) respect bro
It's amazing how you can make it look exactly like worn steel/metal! Great job!
Donnie Mays mk. 17*
How are you not working in Hollywood as a prop master?? Unreal stuff man. I love watching you work...
not trying to be critical, thats not a clip. Its a magazine.
I know it grinds my gears whenever someone calls mags clips.
Drew L did you hear him say "sniper add on" reffering to the suppressor?
+Jake Paul it doesn't matter where your from it just the proper word
+Ethan Cotto-Ramos yeah that pissed me off
Andrew L Clipazine
Chris your transformations are Amazing......
Brilliantly done btw, but just a note ... Batman has a scar L in the movie (L= Light, fires the standard nato 5.56 round, hence the curved magazine) But your model, is a scar H, heavy, which fire the 7.62 nato round, hence the strait magazine!.
DJJAW11 in Australia every thing is illegal so if u find something like this u got lucky
That bloody Spawn statue. Looks amazing.
Who else saw the bug at 7:11
+Chewbacca The Wookie ha... 7 eleven... BTW, I went to the comment section because of that
Yeah he was eating all the hot dogs
Me he's famous now
Matt Gaming and More omg was about to ask that question!!!!!! And yes i did see that
Ya I heard the one down the street is infested
I love the dedication you put into your work. AWESOME!
Chris said that to be convention friendly it needs to have the orange tip
Which made start thinking....
What if a guy took a real gun and painted the tip orange, would it still be convention friendly
Not that I really care about what the guy is gonna do with the gun, it's just a quick taught
I was thinking the same thing
Most of them need to have closed tips. However, I think if someone brought a real gun, people would know.
Jeremy Mackin yeah I hope so
Yeah, it depends on the way the guy is holding it, if it looks like it's a bit heavy, confront him. If it looks like he can throw it hard and hear the plastic rattling then it's fine
I can't WAIT to see the finished costume!!! It's gonna be awesome!
CQB = Close Quarters Battle, not QCB
It's CQB or CQC
Close quarters battle haha
What?
Its usually either close quarters combat (CQC) or close quarters battle (CQB).
The latter is not usually used when talking about weapons but more for military units, while the first describes weapons.
Hope that clears it up. :D
its qlose couter battle lol
I love his vids but they always put chills down my back because I always spot the most weird looking bugs that I assure you can only be found in Australia
you should make or customize a replica batfleck grapple gun that would be sick
Looks so cool ! Didn't know until now that he had a Joker card slapped on it ! :D
That's a Scar-H my dude not a Scar-L
0:40
@Sullivan Williams ofc it is a plastic gun, I know that
You are awesome. I really can't wait the finished costume!
You should do Batman diet/training videos
He already did. Check his channel out, it's on there.
Shit! Never mind. It was a Wolverine video. Sorry.
+Joe Thoman lol its fine. I was looking around for it thinking he had a second channel or something
Tony Aurum Only eat bats batnanas for example or batappels

You´re very ingenious Chris, congrats keep the good work
aren't airsoft guns band in Australia
*banned
Shhhhh
You Americans know nothing bout us
Good thing it's not an airsoft gun then and yes they are banned here
+ItsCaos thx
The SCAR-L, for "light", is chambered in the 5.56×45mm NATO cartridge and the SCAR-H, for "heavy", fires 7.62×51mm NATO. Both are available in Long Barrel and Close Quarters Combat variants. The scar L is the scar cqb lol just wanted to help you out with that
M8 that's not a clip, it's a magazine
+The KillaKlown neither is a suppressor a sniper add on, but it's okay, he's Australian. And their is no such thing as a Scar QCB. What he has is a small SCAR-H CQC.
who cares, @The KillaKlown, who is that harming?
love, love, love what you did with the gun. awesome job. i would really like if you did a boba fett toy. please. thanks. and like always keep up the great work
The "sniper addon" is a silencer. You Aussies have totally forgotten your weapon knowledge
formally known as a suppressor
The guy who invented it called a silencer so either works equally well.
But it doesn't silence, it suppresses.
+Wade true
Outstanding job Chris! 👍😆
Scar QCB? This is a SCAR-H Mk. 17, CQB model. I mean c'mon, I know you're a prop maker, but at least research stuff correctly
xDJOx Rex Chinese translating screwed up
QCB (quick change barrel)
Very cool video. The sling in the movie looks like a leather 1907 Sling. These are still available today. Neatsfoot oil is an excellent leather product to make it appear aged-broke in without damaging the leather.
Hey Chris. I've loved all the work on the bat-fleck suits, but I was wondering if you'd ever do a Robin BvS costume (with all the joker spray paint on it). It's a costume I've thought about doing and I'd love to hear your opinion on it.

could you do a Jason mask tutorial. I need some help weathering and painting it. and nice work on the batfleck stuff and other toys and props
great work man every thinks really coming together
We now know what the joker card really means.
Nice-looking replica that is a cool looking spawn figures you have any background
2:50 - Chris.... Seeing you use precious EVA foam like this makes me heart cry. Please, don't waste that! it's the best material ever created for cosplayers.
Great prop I think one of the bette ones you've made yet
you are one of the coolest guy I have ever seen on UA-cam. Everyone of ismahawk are also cool.
I managed to get evike airsoft guns shipped to me, and i live in Melbourne. Funnily enough, i was able to get the scar l eglm which i believe is the one you wanted. Cannot wait to see the finished costume.

Very nice paint job !!
i like how he knows what trigger abuse is because of the way he held it at the end
I'm a bit late ,but I decided to do this batman. thanks for the tutorial.
Damn! the paint its everyting in a prop!
I love how you have a lot of humor unlike a lot of cosplayers
That looks so damn good. Great job man!
I love this man. He shall ride eternal, shiny & chrome....with a touch of good old shoe polish to get the details.
mad Max? 😂
Hey Chris, was wondering what day/s you are going to be at supanova this year. It would be awesome to meet you and see the suit in person.
The front part attached to the barrel is a suppressor. The gun you have the the Scar H the heavy version. While the scar you want would be the L version L standing for light. The gun guy in me had to say something but it's still a scar and both are fantastic.
Amazing job! congratulations for the results. Hey Chris when you will customize the armored batman from jakks? :D
Digging the Spawn statue in the back round
Great paintjob... I've never had such a smooth "spray-paint" coloring... there's always a drip in the gun, somewhere... any suggestion how to make a smooth spray?

Another great video Chris!! I love your content! Where did you get that shirt with Rocket Raccoon and Groot?? I have the comic with that cover
Nice job, looks great
Nice, nice, nice! However, I thought you were going to paint the gun, since about 1/3 of it is clearly olive green on the hot toys figure (the upper part of the casing? - don't know the correct term). I expected something like: "5 hours later..." XD

It's so weird watching a fellow Australian because everything down to his accent and talking about Kmart haha
Well done as always
That's a replica of the SCAR MK17 or SCAR-H, it is a battle rifle that fires 7.62x51mm NATO. The SCAR MK16 or SCAR-L is an assault rifle that fires 5.56x45mm NATO, the SCAR MK16 uses the curved magazines.
that is so cool!
well done!
great job brother looks badass
I've been watching u since 32,000 subs. I can't wait til u get to 100,000 subs

The grenade launcher it comes with is the one he uses at the end of the movie, just without the stock/pistol grip part.
Good build overall bro , its inspired me
Your videos are so cool
Hey, you actually made the Superman suit in the Fortress!
you must have the luckiest kids
staunen17 he dosent have kids
Buddy of mine is in Brisbane and he's got pretty legit airsoft rifles. Metal and blowback. I doubt it's _that_ difficult to find these.
It looks great man!
Chris: “America, f*ck yeah!”
My brain: “Batman’s f-bomb in the Snyder Cut?”
@Cosplay Chris would you be able to try and make a rorschach grapple gun?
Thats a cool idea !
Cosplay Chris thanks reason being im going to be cosplaying rorschach at supernova and smash in sydn
