Remembering Aduke Gold
Aduke Gold, born Ajayi Aduke Morounkola on March 16, 1988, was a shining light in the gospel music industry, known for her powerful voice and inspiring life story. Orphaned at the tender age of four, Aduke faced a challenging childhood, marked by hardships that forced her to grow up quickly. Despite these difficulties, she demonstrated remarkable resilience, hawking goods to survive and eventually earning a scholarship that allowed her to attend Lagos State University. There, she graduated with a degree in History and International Relations, showcasing her academic brilliance.
Her passion for education led her to pursue further certifications in education and child psychology. However, it was her undeniable talent in music that truly set her apart. Aduke Gold's music career began to flourish after she captured the hearts of many with her memorable performance at the first remembrance of the late gospel minister, Baba Ara.
As her popularity grew, Aduke Gold decided to pursue a solo career, rebranding herself from Aduke Ajayi to Aduke Gold under the guidance of her mentor. Her journey in the gospel music industry was marked by perseverance, faith, and a deep love for her craft.
Tragically, Aduke Gold passed away on Monday, August 12th, at the University College Hospital in Ibadan after battling an illness for two months. Her death is a profound loss to the gospel music community and to all who knew and loved her. Though she has left this world, her legacy will continue to inspire and uplift those she touched with her music and her story.

Gospel artists from across the country came together for an emotional night of tribute to honor the late Aduke Gold, a beloved figure in the gospel music community. The event, titled "RIP Aduke Gold: Gospel Artists Unite for a Night of Tribute," was filled with heartfelt performances, prayers, and reflections on Aduke Gold’s life and impact. As her fellow musicians took the stage, they sang some of her most cherished songs, paying homage to her powerful voice and unwavering faith.
