Seriously, thank you! I spent right at 8 hours trying to knock this out yesterday with different decks. This evening first try got all 5 in just under 25 minutes, everyone wound up conceding I started first on four and second on the last.
This game is never giving me my basics or even stage 1. And i am continuously getting thrashed in the 2nd round with only 1 basic pokemon on active spot. 🤣🤣 This game's RNG sucks 🤣🤣🤣
For me that's not an issue, but the coin flip RNG sucks for me I actually for fun counted the number of heads I have been getting with my Marowak yesterday - so far getting 29% heads (40 flips)😂😂

Just used this to get my 5 win streak 😂😂 I love how low energy/low retreat cost it is. That’s been one of the more frustrating things for other decks. And I even had to sub an EX for a regular since I didn’t have a 2nd copy, and it works. thank you kind sir!
I did it in 12 total battles, with a newly formed deck after I pulled a second moltres ex. I removed Charizard line for Centiscorch. Only needed 6 battles with that deck.

I saw in your second game that you used the pokeball and then the professor research. You should use the professor research before the pokeball because you could get better stuff from that order.
Ironically I was struggling to find the 5 wins and did get there with Celibi. Did need some luck, but honestly the Exeggutor Ex was such a powerful early game presence that made a big difference. This deck is fun though. There's still the risk of not getting that stage 2 evolution, but that's still a solid setup to win some games. And totally terrifying for those water decks!
Yeah, the game is full of those, i started playing a fire deck and got my emblem easily, now i keep playing fire just because i hate Celebi and i want to make their life miserable.
Having Just completed the event in 12 matches here is what I saw. 3 Misty decks (2 18 trainer, 1 Arti+Starmie). 2 Blaine. 3 Gyrados Greninja (with misty), 2 Celebi, 2 Electric I played the Pikachu-Zebstrika deck from the previous vid. I remember a prevalent opinion from the Genetic Apex 5 win PVP event was that it was actually better to Just Yolo Misty flips on articuno and concede when you fail to play the next game. and from my experience it seems like it's still what people are doing. Against the 3 Gyrados decks I went 2-1, in the wins I was able to zeb Frokies and Magikarps. the loss the guy missed his first misty, and exposed gyrodos, but I bricked on drawing a pikachu and didn't get it online fast enough and died ironically to greninja attack.
now I'm gonna sit in the queue playing misty 18 trainer and conceding to anyone without the emblem. BTW I would like to advocate for signaling your status. I know how annoying this event can be because of random RNG. if you have 4 wins I want to give you your 5th.
I lost the 5th battle 6x... Finally got it. Pikachu vs Pikachu deck, my opponent could have won if he switched in his blitzle and took out a bench pokemon, instead on my final turn I switched in my own blitzle and took down his 20hp zapdos for the win. Unreal man.. I tried this deck in the video and had really bad luck, couldn't draw the correct cards. Tried Mewtwo as well and could only get 4 wins before the 5th loss. Pikachu deck is still goated.
I got to 4/5 on my first attempt (except my Pikachu one which got 1 win) with an Aerodactyl, Hitmonlee, Marshadow, Farfetch'd deck and then proceeded to get an extremely unlucky game. Switched to a Mewtwo deck and won my next 5 games (got kind of unlucky but pulled off some nice moves to win)
I used just celebi/serperior and completed it first try, all 5 in a row. It helped that everyone was pikachu/another celebi with a worse deck (i red carded him and delayed his serperior till the end of the game, he also had bloat like a pidgey that never evolved, probably because of my red card lmao)

I decided to try and do it with a pikachu deck. Won 4 and lost 2 (was alternating between win and lose until the last 2 wins and haven’t played another one yet). I have never faced fighting decks so much. I’ll use any other deck and never see a fighting one but now it seems nothing but. 🤷🏼♂️😂

Won my 5 consecutive with a blaine deck that has mew ex in it. won primarily because there are tons of celebi ex and i encountered 1 charizard ex deck and 1 mewtwo ex deck, both lost to the mew ex.
Put like that, seems like you are right, but everytime I played Electabuzz 2 energies on him felt like a big commitment. Only requiring 1 energy to attack is so important + those 20 extra health Zebstrika has, makes a difference in almost every match.
People need to realize the deck you use for this event doesn't matter nearly as much as how lucky you get, whether that be through facing stupid players, coin flips or good draws. I got both 5 straight win gold emblems with a Misty deck (Articuno ex + Starmie ex for Genetic Apex, Gyarados ex + Chatot for Mythical Island). That should tell you all you need to know.
Yall won't believe me but I played aggro celebi and 4 people in a row conceded before I could even eliminate one of their Pokémon since they knew they already lost. Each match lasted like 4 to 5 turns and bc I won my 1st match I got my medal for almost free.
Advice for this deck: always use pokeball before professor. You want the professor to find piggioto or piggeot ex. Use pokeball 1st to weed out another basic Pokémon to improve your odds Biggest issue with this deck: Piggioto/ piggeot ex ….. if you don’t get both in your starting hand you better hope you get some professors and that both cards are close to the top of your deck. Having them at the bottom or even middle of the deck kills the run. This deck also really struggle against pikachu decks. There or loads of people playing p pikachu right now due to how many people are playing Gary… often times Pikachu deck search is faster due to not needing to evolve into PO plus your far fetch is weak to electric and can be one shot bot a lot of basic electrit types….. this deck also struggles vs super Agro misty articuno plays as that 80 will knock plus do 10 to the bench Good things: plays well vs Gary and mewtwo…. And is fast if your on 1-2 wins and you don’t open with both cards or miss on your professors research just scoop and try again…. Issue is when you keep getting to 3-4 wins and can’t find one of the 2 cards you need
Other notes: zebstrika dosnt work with Giovanni and will no matter what do 30 damage. The deck can be super slow since there is a lot of evolving… it might be better to have hitmonlee insted ? Gets rid evolution line does the same damage for the same energy just with 10 less HP also allows you to now have 2-3 more cards which you can then add in potions and extra flute or maybe a drudigon if you need to stall to find an evolution card or add an extra Sabrina or add blue. Could also add some thing like Meowth to draw a card but then that’s one extra basic and makes pokeball less efficient
i already got 5 wins with the marshadow mankey deck, but watched this video and tried this deck, won 2 games in a row 1 against a mew2 deck, 1 against a golem deck stopped playing and let these guys have their winstreak
Tbh I tried this exact list, srry It was stressful not very consistent and bricky for me so I replaced the Lightning zebras for the x2 Hitmonlees & x2 Marshadows I kept getting better hands and more consistent W's

Every Celebi deck I encountered throughout my 5 winstreak, started two Celebi and full Serperior line….. your match making trumps mine

Celebi worked for me. Going 2 celebi and 2 Serperior lines + support is the basic most consistent list to get celebi to 10+ coins

zebby tkes 1 energy and hits anything, electabuzz takes 2 energy and hitmon can only hit bench
