Yo...Dope episode. Was in the same class with Troy and I had no idea he was a writer!! Loved that he opened up about his graffiti life and what the scene was like on the westside. Brought back so many memories of my youth and being obsessed with graffiti, the crazy times, it was insane in the best possible way. Props to Troy and 2Tone for a great conversation.
I graduated Samohi class of 93. While I didn"t get caught up in gangs or party crews, I remember getting caught up in similar situations just by being in the area...especially HRC. I got hit up by them walking home from school one time asking me where I was from. I was just some corny ass kid on my way home from school.

It is insane how many LA graffiti writers end up in art, design, music, film etc creative careers. We are the secret weapon.
Much more to do with the LA part than the graffiti writer part - its it's own country with regard to the creative industry
