Thank you Andy, for who you are and what you teach. I was an intellect, Buddhist, and anti-christian for much of my life largely due to the behavior of 'christians'. Not long ago, I became a disciple(no short story), and knowing the very personal love and grace of Jesus is very different than mainstream church experience. I was afraid of the body I was joining. Despite becoming one, I still didn't agree with much of what they expressed. I discovered your video series 'Christian, it's not what you think' as well as several others while in prison. I watched them all, many times. It gave me so much hope, in a scary and fragile time in my life. I am so grateful to you and your Ekklesia, you don't know what you have done both for me and through me. Thank you for spreading the gospel of Jesus the way that you do. It transforms even a wretch like me.
Thank you. It is such an overwhelming honor to be here. The creator of all things, love incarnate, went into the depths of darkness to rescue me, a nobody, a wrecking ball, and gave me a gift that some days my heart can hardly bare. I am blessed beyond measure, and so grateful. Thank you for having me.

@debrapicard4688 It says we will know a tree by its fruit. I have heard dozens, if not into the hundreds, of Andy's videos. I have never heard him encourage any behaviors other than following the walk of Jesus in love, humility, service, compassion, patience, kindness, and empathy. I am often astonished, and heart broken, at how many 'christians' don't live this way. Nothing in the new testament advocates violence, condemnation, judgment, division, self righteousness, slander, rejection, or a variety of other common 'christian' traits. I don't know who you learn from or what information you have encountered to reach that conclusion, but to think such a teaching is off the mark is, well, tragic to me.
Thank you, Andy! I look forward to ALL your messages.... God bless you, your family, and your ministry....you are a treasure and God's gift to His Church❤️
The church is the beautiful gift Jesus Christ gave all of us when he sacrificed himself for us on the cross. The Holy Spirit is the church which resides in us all. That’s why there are sayings such as, only God knows your heart. Also when you prey, prey so that no one hears you so your not boosting and your preyers are then sincere Think of it like this, God is way to powerful to be kept in a house, church is in our hearts. God is omnibus, he’s in everyone.i felt that spirit in me and he brought me to my knees after i accepted Jesus Christ to make a home in my heart.
THANK YOU Ps Andy!! I loved this message and look forward listening to part 2-4. I sent the link to this message to all my Jesus follower friends. This amazing insight is vital for all to hear and understand. I live in Australia and listen to your sermons when I drive to work in the morning. Always a great time to learn and to connect with God.
They did met on the Sabbath, then eventually transitioned to the 1st day of the week (Sunday) to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus (Acts 20:7; 1 Corinthians 16:2; John 20:19).
@karenr7931 , you misunderstand the verse. Of course he was raised on Sunday. Cults like Seventh Day Adventist teach things like that. They see Saturday sabbath observance as the most important thing. It's an idol to them, and it's a perversion of the gospel.
Forget the meaning of an ekklesia. Look at what an ekklesia actually was. A political entity which received it's business from its ruling authority. An organisation where all members are equal and all members are encouraged and expected to participate. They had a quorum, when Jesus saidi2 or more are gathered in my name there I am in the midst. The early Christian ekklesia was a house group movement structured geographically with untitled servant leaders Church today is still structurally linked to the Roman Catholic church. The early believers passionate lived the apostles doctrine and didn't have communion but had the agape meal instead. The modern church is nothing like the early Christian ekklesia. This teaching if it's lived would reform God's people back to house groups that meet from time to time as a regional ekklesia. Read up on the Greek or the Roman Ekklesia. There is no English equivalent and so the translators used the word church. The early believers Christian ekklesia had almost no overheads and almost all giving was given to meet the needs of other believers. Read acts2v42-47 and acts4v32-37 and the last half of 1Cor11.

What happened to William Tyndale is so very sad. I hadn't heard that story before. Thx, Pastor Andy!

Where does it say that the first church people didn't meet on the Sabbath?
I agree, see Luke 4:31, Luke 23:56, & Mat 24:20

@@laya7061 Jesus Christ was not resurrected on Sunday. Matthew 12:40. There are not 3 days and 3 nights from Good Friday to Easter Sunday.

Interestingly in spanish the word is translated from ekklesia to Iglesia, which normally has a connotation of the building more than the assembly.
