Yes please. Especially for Ethereals. How to incorporate long, flowing, soft lines with delicate fabrics, intricate details, shimmer, lace, pale colours, sheerness and did I mention long, flowing lines?!?!? I’ve seen lots of great examples for all the Kibbe types but nothing at all for Ethereals. Ingenues are easy 😂

I would love this with multiple things, for example which suits fits best, of jeans. I think this would be a nice series, because for me it sometimes feels like your stuck in a specific style because of your body type which feel limited

not many people know this but MBTI is actually based on cognitive functions instead of which individual letter you use (i.e. whether you're a thinker or a feeler). so if you're having trouble deciding between the two i would look into that it's very interesting to learn about!
it's actually based on the idea that we all have thinking, feeling, sensing, and intuition functions it just depends on what kind and whether or not they're strong or a weak spot. all those functions are either introverted or extroverted, which is kinda hard to explain but that's where the introvert vs extrovert comes in, the I or E just represents whether your most dominant function is int. or ext.

If you want to learn more about MBTI, I'd recommend looking into the cognitive functions approach. It's more complicated than the letter by letter approach, but it really leads to a fuller understanding.

That explanation on soft gamine vs soft natural was so exceptionally helpful. The sentence "They appear more blunt, they appear more strong" finally helped me realize where I fit! I have a lot of traits from both Soft Gamine and Soft Natural, but whenever I look at photos of myself I note that I seem very solid and quite strong, regardless of body size at the time.

The main difference I’ve found between J and P in MBTI is how “settled” someone is with their opinions/ideas. P types often wait until they feel they have enough information before deciding on something because they’re open to perspective. J types are the opposite in that they usually have an internal judgment right off the bat and then they open themselves up to new info that could shift that judgment. This doesn’t translate into open mindedness or close mindedness, but more of how “settled” someone prefers their world to be.

Funny! this is exactly the conclusion I came to when I gave it a lot of thought because I was trying to help a friend type herself. It doesn't come down to organization, or spontaneity necessarily, cause those things can have so many confounding variables influencing them. It's about how many decisions you're currently on the fence about. I don't know, and I approach my entire life not knowing.

@@lgn8511 Sure, but the letters are like condensed essences of the sum of the function stack. what is the essence of a judger? People HAVE to understand that these are types, not qualities. Aw I love Infps🥺 I'm an Infj but i sometimes relate with Infps and Intjs too. Mbti is confusing sometimes especially when you don't know about the ‘cognitive functions’ because if you take into account only the four initial letters of the mbti you wouldn't have the complete picture of how a certain type works. Like for example, I-N-F-P is not just a person who is Introverted, Intuitive, Feeling, Perceiving. There are certain ways and processes how their mind works. You won't suddenly know everything about the person(how their mind works) just by that four initial letters. I'm not saying that the mbti is a person's whole identity but it can be used to understand a person's psyche to a certain level I guess. I'm just saying that if you guys should probably learn about the cognitive functions if you want a deeper understanding of your type and yourself. Also most mbti tests on the web aren't really legit and there are often mis-typings at least in my case. I first got typed as istj and then intj but there was something missing and then I discovered I was and infj and so I felt seen. Then I got into the cognitive functions and then later learned that the reason I got typed so much into istj and intj at first because I was an infj in an ni-ti loop lol anyway...I recommend 'Frank James' and 'Love Who' channel if anyone wants to dive deeper into mbti.
Cognitive functions can be confusing at first and you'll probably go wtf? but keep going cause it's worth it 👍

Interesting. I honestly only decided on my MBTI type when I read the book, i took about a million tests and the answers kept changing until i was like "enough" and res the thing and it was clear as day I was an INFP. I think in general what helped me realize that was that they mention how the "feeling" in INFP is sometimes hard to externalize, how even though we feel a LOT we don't show it, it's like a warm coat we wear inside (and also how it's easier for INFPs to express themselves through writing instead of speaking. And parallel to that, INFPs are good at learning different languages...so i hope this helps). Even though I feel like i have a lot in common with INFJs I know less about them but Frank James is one and he has an UA-cam channel all about the MBTIs, it's super fun maybe it will help too (the little I gathered is that INFJs are good at understanding people and that sometimes they have periods when they feel it's hard connecting with reality - hard to explain that last one, he's better at it than me)

Introverted Thinking (Tertiary) - you value having your own logical framework e.g. analysis on styles

You sound like an INFP. It comes down to if you are a Fi-Ne (INFP) or a Ni-Fe (INFJ). They’re honestly very different and if you let go of the thought that P/J is about being organised or disorganised (all types can be both, depending on circumstances) and think of them as being fixed/fluid and, even more accurate, as indicators of which two of your four functions are extroverted and which are introverted (in your case Fi/Ne/Si/Te or Fe/Ni/Se/Ti) you’ll get a lot more out of MBTI.
Thank you for the recommendations for casual looks. I just realised the biggest difference between outfits I like on me and ones I don’t… This is a journey for sure!

I think in the past, color analy tended to put all red hair in the spring and autumn seasons for the longest time (just like dark hair used to be confined to dark autumn or the winters); but I think analysts have come a long way since then and are taking into consideration the holistic effect. My husband has dark red hair and very fair skin, but he really shines in darker earth and jewel tones, so I think he might be either a dark autumn or a winter. It would be great to see an Ellie-Jean video on the subject.

My recs for bathing suits! I am not a Kibbe expert, so take this advice at your own judgement.
Gamines: a mismatched top or bottom would be so cute! espc a colour or pattern on top for FGs. I (fg) wear black bottoms and a more detailed coloured top. High necks are also great on FGs.
Romantics: vintage style bathers, omfg those look amazing on curvy women. The high-waisted ones with the shaped bikini top w the bra cups. Or those bikini bottoms with the skirt type thing! A rounded neckline and feminine details would also work.
Dramatics: patterned bikinis! and the triangle ones look awesome too. Keep plenty of structure in the garments (straight edges, details like those metal circles) A strapless top could also be cool. Same colour and pattern on the top and bottom to keep vertical.
Naturals: detailing and patterns could look super chic! espc something like a simple tie front. A texture like crochet could also be cute depending on personal style. Rounded shapes, with a bit of structure to them e.g rounded off rectangular neckline.
Classics: Even balanced shape! e.g same size top and bottom, maybe even the same colour to keep a bit of vertical line! Simple patterns like stripes could also look v chic.

When I first watched videos explaining the different personal styles (stone, flower, mushroom etc) I was like this is so much like Ni, which is the primary cognitive function of an INFJ, so I wondered if you might be one. I'm personally an INFJ (I think) and I assume I've understood the vibe of Ni and that's definitely what I'm getting here. Also INFJs tend to like MBTI and all other types of systems to categorize, like kibbe or the season colour theory from what I've seen, but that's not a hard rule.
Well now I watched the description further and it's giving even more Ni, like "internal future" and maybe wanting to dive into deeper topics is common for both types, but actually getting energized from it is making me think that's Fe (the second cognitive function of an INFJ). Also both procrastinate, so that's not something to consider a deciding factor between these two types.

Technically, an INFJ would feel more pressure and worry about the future, since they're very much long-term/future oriented. But you obviously know yourself better than I do; you could definitely be an INFJ who's just a lot more relaxed and open about the future than most!

I believe they correlate at least a little….like it’s very unlikely that an INTJ would be an enneagram 7 for example, because they don’t make any natural sense together. They’re contradictory.

If you want to find out your mbti type and learn more about mbti in general, I'd recommend researching more about the cognitive functions rather than J vs P, T vs F and so on. When i first discovered mbti I tried the 16 personalities test (which is extremely inaccurate btw because it is not based on cognitive functions) and similarly I was stuck between INFJ and INFP, one time I'd get J and other time P. When I then started to learn more about the functions, I realized that I'm INFP, and I find that CS Joseph video on INFPs described me to the tea, I was shocked at how accurate it was (some people don't really like him as he can be really blunt but he truly describes both positive and negative aspects of each type and if you aim at self-improvement and better understanding of others I'd definitely recommend). But anyway, you should learn more about cognitive functions in general; essentially, it helps you to understand how your mind is wired to make decisions and process information. Hope it helps! Love your videos btw! 💙

Thank you so much! I discovered your channel a couple of months ago and you've helped me learn that I am a flamboyant gamine!
I know that these videos take a lot of effort and a lot of time to create, but would you consider making a style analysis on Emma Watson or just Flamboyant gamines in general? (Also, would you even say that Emma is an FG? I've just heard that she is)
Again, thank you for your positive content!

Can you make a video explaining and recommend tattoo placement that complement body types. Inked mag does a little bit but they focuse more on the tattoo than the overall look. Maybe go into detail about bone structure and placement can take away from your overall look? I notice some people wear tattoos better than others and it isnt about the actual tattoo.

Mbti enthusiast here! You're an INFJ in my opinion. (I'm about to dive into the cognitive functions). I see very clear Ni, which is centered around future projections and reaching a goal.
Ni is also good at seeing things as they truly are (through the BS basically 😂) and forming your own understanding of a subject. Ni cares very little (if at all) about societal standards/"proper procedure". Ni is very sure of itself (when it's healthy) and aims to truly gain full, extensive, and extraneous understanding of what it aims to understand.
Fe is centered around external values and the emotions of others. Having this function doesn't necessarily make you extroverted, it just makes you appear warm and very connected with others and their emotions.
Ti is next, which i feel definitely ties in with what you said about getting laser focused on something that interests you or is important to you. Ti is centered around breaking down systems and analyzing problems to come to a subjectively logical decision. In a way, it's the complete opposite of Fe, because it's basically your internal monologue that kicks in every so often and says to yourself "Forgot what others want. What makes sense to me?"
I would write about inferior Se, but as an INFP with an Se blindspot, I honestly have very little to no insight on this one 😂. Anyway, hope this helped! Love ur vids btw ♥️

for MBTI, the dichotomies (like extrovert vs introvert) are an inaccurate way to type. the theory is base in Jungian cognitive functions which determine which the you are. INFJ would be Ni (introverted intuition) and Fe (extroverted feeling) while INFP uses Fi (introverted feeling) and Ne (extroverted intuition.) you can figure out your type better by looking into the functions!

I am also pear shaped w a small bust and wondered at one point if i could possibly be romantic, having had a lot of d answers on the kibbe test. As a long time MBTI/Jungian typology nerd, and an INFJ myself, who earlier mistyped as INFP, I think you are an INFJ. Do you identify with your personal perspectives and theories and ways of understanding things, feel that if you share it you feel either proud/vulnerable in the sense you are sharing you? Do you identify with your thinking in that way? If you answer yes, then that's evidence for INFJ. Do you feel like you come to know about your feelings slightly belatedly, or when you write them down or when you talk to a friend? If yes, that's strong evidence against INFP. I would love to share lots of links with you to nerd about this :D

I think you’re infj! Infps have Fi, so they don’t like being put into a box. Infjs have ti, so they love creating their own systems to categorize people and things. Also, you seem like you’re very good at expressing yourself, which is an infj thing :)

    • @aperson2661
      @aperson2661 2 роки тому

More specifically, Ti is a logical decision making style/function that likes to create an internal logic system and categorise things based on if it is logical to the user. And an INFJ won’t use Ti that much, because it’s their tertiary function. Instead, their dominant function is Ni, which is all about using what’s happening now to predict or plan a situation. (Probably research it because there’s a lot more to Ni than I can explain. Eric Wen and Frank James’s videos are good for this).
