I would do anything to go back in time to when this song was first released. I was still riding the hype from Closer and was excited for The Chainsmokers next release. After listening once I initially was hesitant because it was a different style but it quickly grew on me and became one of my favorite songs. I was 21 back then and life was literally at an all time high. I was a junior in college, I was talking to the best girl in the world at the time (future gf), working at Olive Garden, and just living life. I felt so free and so able to do anything. I would do anything to go back.

I would do anything to go back in time to when this song was first released. I was still riding the hype from Closer and was excited for The Chainsmokers next release. After listening once I initially was hesitant because it was a different style but it quickly grew on me and became one of my favorite songs. I was 21 back then and life was literally at an all time high. I was a junior in college, I was talking to the best girl in the world at the time (future gf), working at Olive Garden, and just living life. I felt so free and so able to do anything. I would do anything to go back.
I agree with you, friend. I, too, was a junior in college, starting undergrad research in my major, traveling the country for my studies, and had a hell of a girlfriend. I had no CDs or Bluetooth in my car so I would listen to the local radio station. Sure enough this song was almost always on. I can still think back to those days and feel the warm sun on my skin as I cruised around the little mountain town where my university was at. Thanks for sharing and reminding me of those memories again!

This makes me feel nostalgia. I was starting my freshman year of high school when this song was first released. It’s been 7 years and I miss this time tremendously. A time before everyone just became filled with hate, a time before the pandemic even existed. A time when I was only a teenager, not an adult that can’t feel the innocence of my youth again. All of the memories I made with my friends that I met from my old high school, those days can’t come back. But with music videos like this, it’s like my own Time Machine, so that way I can forget all about the troubles of the outside world and reminisce how life used to be like.
The Chainsmokers energy on this track is insane! With a little guidance from the video on my channel about how artists are blowing up, he is now getting the attention he deserves.

note if you don't know, drew sang more obviously and since it's not a proper duet, her vocal is meant to be more an effect than an actual part, The chainsmokers brought her into the studio to help them out with "Paris" after they felt something missing. They happened to be in New York and she was working on some stuff at a studio nearby. And the chainsmokers were like " Can you please some to our studio? We're finishing a song and it needed a little something, we just don't know what it is" So she came in and just layered some of Drew's parts and sang those different parts that you can hear on the song
