Such a great episode. Thank you guys! I agree that Dean chooses Sam because he knows Sam can take care of himself if given a fighting chance. I could just go on & on about this episode, it’s one of my favorites. Thank you guys for bringing attention to the brilliant sets & cinematography. Fun fact, I just watched Deliverance for the first time this year & I honestly think this episode is scarier. 🤣

I agree. Deliverance was ground-breaking when it was released, but there have been a lot of homages to it since the 70s, so it's less impactful to a modern audience. Thank you for your support!
