A friend had a new one of these as a company car back in the day, I thought I was the dog's dangleys when he let me have a drive. It looks like quite a simple car, great video keep them coming.
Great video as always Al! I would imagine some of these different vehicles you work on are much more difficult than the usual Toyota’s and other brands.
I had one of those from new for about 15 years. It succumbed to wheel arch rust but the engine still ticked over like a Swiss watch when I got rid of it.

Why do Mercedes insist on putting the fuel pumps in such a position that we have to lie in muddy puddles to replace them ? Us mere mortals who don't have a 2 post lift available
@6DDIESELSDorset As that is a 1996 car, it shouldn't be running on E10 petrol, it should be run on E5 petrol, meaning less ethanol to do damage. Good video as always gents, weirdly enough, I have the same fuel gauge issue on my 07 Nissan xtrail, that also has twin sender units, although easier access on top from under the back seat, being a diesel, I doubt it'll be the same easy fix.
Al you what i do when something irritating is trying to wind me up, talk to ourselves calmly, saves looking over your shoulder to make sure the vicar isnt about...lol...
I use to beat things with hammers ! Realised this may have made me feel better at the time but then I still had to fix the original problem and sort out all the hammer damage!!!!! The words walk away walk away are now common round here lol 👍

I need to know which sensor was it ? You cant leave us hanging like that..... 😅 Saw the original purchase video and I'm glad its ended up at a reputable garage not the main stealer Tidy old bus !
Drives side front ! New sensor has been fitted by Mercedes recently, no reading inner wing plug tests fine Wiring fault somewhere in the loom to the pump …. Easy fix “not” 👍
@@6DDIESELSDorset there's 2 pull tabs on the top edge of the boot on yours which neither of mine have had... And my current one is the same year and spec... Next time your in there pull the levers and let me know what they do😂

Cars tend to be a bit more of a pain, mainly due to everything being packed in tighter 👍
