This is the ultimate barbecue song. I love it. When I hear it I think of my late mom, aunties, uncles family and friends in the yard laughing and shooting the breeze. My mom had a huge stereo lol she was the designated DJ. My dad would prop the speakers by a screened window or she’d bring out her boombox and play one of her mix tapes lol. Moms was a G. I picture the plates of barbecue food. I see plates filled with deviled eggs, ribs, chicken, macaroni salad, burgers, hotdogs, baked beans and don’t forget the potato salad!because dad was on the grill talking smack. I see my cousins and I being kids running around having fun playing volley ball or a taking dip in the pool. Or all of chilling at the lake.
