Love Knoxville. The man is too cool and awesome. I don't like Letterman. Never will. So awkward and awful. Really? Asking him how much money he's making from it? Come on. As I said, Knoxville seems like a pretty awesome chill guy so he laughed it off, but that was just rude.
it wasnt rude, and johnny clearly has more respect for letterman than you do. not only did he call him sir, but he also found his joke about the tubes to be hilarious. letterman being concerned about the mans well-being is not 'rude'
@@casperowens2482 Yes, of course Knoxville has more respect for Letterman than I do. I literally said I don't like Letterman. I think it's rather crass to ask someone about money they are making. It was rude. You disagree. And there we are.
Yes, that's the way Letterman is with all of his guests. Or was anyway. He plays the straight man which acts as a perfect foil for the guests, and he was known for getting some of the best (and sometimes even uncomfortable) interviews of anybody.
@David Cat It’s not a formal debate, a bit for a talk show. Kinda unexpected to see some jackass fans act offended on Johnny’s behalf when he’s amused during the interview.
I think it’s so funny how he keeps telling Knoxville he can’t do this forever and bla bla bla and now Knoxville has another movie coming out all these years later in 2022. No doubt it’s going to bring in millions and where’s letterman now. 🤣. Hey it’s not my type of movie and I probably won’t go see it but he’s laughing all the way to the bank while all these jokers are off the air. Good for you Knoxville. Keep it up. And god bless you my friend.
Jackass 3 was an entertaining movie i watch it when i drink sometimes and laugh so hard. Im looking forward to the 4th film. I'll be watching the Jackass show box set next week for my birthday.
I watched it in theaters at age 12! Which ended up not being the best idea lol the very next Monday, we were doing our own jackass home videos with some buds, a stupid bit was throwing a football at a 7 year old neighborhood kid (we knew him for years and I def thought he was older than 7) on his bike, instead of hitting his bike, which i meant to do, I hit him directly in the face.. I felt bad and even talked to his mom, she actually respected that I stuck around to apologize, but a lot more drama between that family and my buddy that had the footage occured, which made the cops to be called. So a few days later i got put in cuffs by the police at my football practice (in front of a lot of kids from my school). They saw the footage, without the audio of me apologizing over and over to the boy.. anyways, they decided I needed a lesson taught, I ended up doing 6 months of diversion for assault. Still, love Jackass and always will. They shaped me growing up with a lot of humor.
Letterman, Leno, Myers, Fallon, all these no talent hack comedians who host the late night talk shows where a guy in a suit interviews people who are doing things with their lives. I despise them all. O’Brien is ok sometimes. John Stewart is funny he’s really the only one. My grandma liked Johnny Carson so I’ll take her word for it.
Craig Ferguson was actually the only genuine one that did the talk show thing right in my opinion. The only problem was that his show was more or less low budget but he made the most of it and couldn't give a shit about what the producers wanted him to say. The others are either trying too hard, trying to be "rude kind of funny" or are just straight up scripted and boring. Stephen Colbert is still quite good as well but the others might as well milk it while it's their best career option.
Dave Letterman kind of always plays the straight man with his guests, like if you thought this was awkward go with the one with Harmony Korine. THOSE are legendary Letterman clips, and Harmony Korine is one of the only people who ever got banned from the show. Yeah, go watch them. lol anyway you can rest assured that Letterman not only likes Knoxville, but if he didn't like Knoxville in a legitimate way he'd never have him on the show.
All you people ripping on letterman, you have no idea what it takes to make an interesting segment. Letterman is acting his age, and is feeding knoxville into playing his character. If letterman doesnt play his part, this segment isnt funny.

@pomegranate89juice oddly enough, in my opinion at least, the "asshole" dave you refer comes out more in his 80's "late night" days because he was so intent on NOT following the traditional styles of talk shows where it was all phony smiles and admiration for your guests and such so when some hollywood big-shot came on that he despised, he REALLY tended to show it through tense sarcasm among other things...the surgery definitely changed his perspective around in some form...
I know Dave was being somewhat playful when talking about him not doing it anymore, but the whole comment when asking how much money he makes was straight up rude.
Well it’s a good public reminder that those guys are indeed compensated for this (the main guys anyways) Also gave him an opportunity to further plug the movie.
@Zenuen sure his minor smiling might throw you off a bit but if he was one of those phonies that smiled A LOT at every single thing, id put a gun to my head so i'll take this anyday...and it makes sense because he's interviewing a guy who will risk his life just to have some celebrity recognition and a lot of money when there's clearly more safer ways to achieve that....
That motorcycle jump hurt. The other guy that took over for Evil Kineviel tried a more scary jump. He tried to jump 50 blacks with a steam roller at his KKK carnival. He did not get hurt but was not successful with the jump either. Awful Kinofle was not good enough to replace Evil.
