As a beginner with a shop full of tools to work with, I love watching your videos and the ideas you have . Great stuff.

    Jon,
Thanks for the framing primer. My entire wood shop consists of a chop saw in the garage, so I think if I buy the right stock moldings I can make this work. I'm also using your french cleat instructions to set up a 3 by 3 encaustic installation. I'll just center the top-center panel, then make sure the others are level and 14 inches away on center (12" by 12" panels with a 2" gap). The "play" in the positioning should allow me to have all the spacing perfect.
    Thanks again.

WOW! Nice frame, Jon. I wish I had your shop. I know how you feel about wood- I love the feel, the looks, the smell..... everything that is wood. Thanks for showing us how to make the frame. I wasn't sure how to back the ones I have for my encaustic panels. I hope you get lots of subs here.

January 15th is my birthday so I think that would be an awesome birthday present. That frame would go well with my Encaustic work. I love how you used up scraps to save the planet. I have watched all your videos on Encaustic so please keep them coming. Thanks,Jon.

I'm ordering some encaustic materials now.. I am in France so there is a bit of searching and translating to do. :-) I'm from NY so there's been a lot of adjusting to do. I miss NYC's art stores!

This frame is absolutely gorgeous! Thank you so much for your videos Jon (I found your channel while searching encaustic techniques). I am a Facebook fan as well (last name Costa). My paintings would be so much nicer framed; frames sure make a huge difference.

+Jon Peters Art & Home, I meant the insert panel/painting. Is it canvas or just a piece of wood you painted?

+Jon Peters Art & Home I think that pairing was on 3/4 plywood, I will sometimes glue canvas to to plywood also... both work.

Thanks Jon. My wife likes to dabble with painting and a small panel like this will suit her perfectly. She can do the painting and I will make her a frame like this for it. Love your vids. Just going through some older ones I have not seen yet.
