- Karen Ziemba and Bill Irwin give a wonderful, sexy performance of "Sooner or Later," written originally for the film "Dick Tracy."
This video is an excerpt from the highly recommended 1993 PBS DVD "Sondheim: A Celebration at Carnegie Hall."

This was my first time seeing Karen Ziemba in anything. She is fantastic and I think under-appreciated even though she is a Tony winner.
Ha, just came across Karen Ziemba on UA-cam. She was a year behind me at North Farmington High School in Michigan. I remember seeing her as Maria in West Side Story at our school. So sweet!
She gave a bright sexy fun interpretation of this song. This is why the Arts bring so much to life. Same song but different styles.
Fabulous. I adore Karen Ziemba (and she doesn't get nearly enough recognition, IMHO
I'm certainly not a Broadway aficionado, but when I watched this on DVD I was floored. Unbelievable performance from Karen, as well as Bill.
What a great pairing of Tony winner Karen Ziemba and one of the most amazing comedic clowns Bill Irwin.
Outstanding performance, both funny and sensual! Thanks for having shared it!
i Love this! saw it once. finnally found it again!! Karens talent and Bill's comic genious works so well together!! HOT!!!
Wow! What great choreography and what a great vocal and presentation! Loved it.
Best supporting actor: the piano bench. Fabooo chops, huh?
I'VE SEEN KAREN IN "CHICAGO", "CONTACT" (also at the TONY's when she won), "NEVER GONNA DANCE" AND "CURTAINS" WHAT A TALENT SHE IS!!! =)
I love her performance, it's the most wonderful I have seen!
you must be nuts....or blind.
This is a wonderful piece of music from Dick Tracy.
Karen is sensational, not equaled in this piece... Bill... adorable...
This concert tribute to Sondheim has many wonderful performances and this is one of the best. I remember watching this many years ago and knowing who most of the performers were from their theater/TV/movie credits and being so blown away by this woman that I'd never heard of before.
Sensational, great movement..
VERY FUN!!! Great performance...loved it!

the only performance vocally and visually you should EVER watch of "SOONER OR LATER" is QUEEN MADONNA's version at the oscars 1991!

the reason i fell in love with the talented Bill Irwin--comedic, musical genius! he is hilarious and wonderful...and of course Ms Ziemba does the song RIGHT unlike Madonna's version in the film....no offense, to "madge" but honestly, THIS is sexy done right...it's intelligence sexiness unlike that filth our general culture passes off as "talent" or "sexy"....and Ziemba's killer legs! wow. they play off each other so well. what a fantastic performance.
