Leeds fan here, yet this is a fabulous tour of old Trafford. The museum in particular is fascinating, and all clubs should strive to have a museum like it. Even if you loathe Manchester United, I guarantee that you will be delighted
As a kid growing up I loved the history around English football clubs and especially all the grounds of the clubs. I know time moves on but some of the romance seems to be forgotten. Old Trafford has definitely been left to decline under the Glazers so hopefully big Jim can sort that out and soon!
As a scouser and a Liverpool fan old Trafford is falling down like 😂 but you can’t replace the design of old Trafford I reckon yous sort de roof out and refurbish the gaff
If it was rebuilt I think they’d do something similar to what Lancashire did after they revamped and named the cricket ground Emirates Old Trafford. I’m not sure how well it would go down with United fans but it would make sense commercially.

Totally agree with you about the super store products like what has happened! The novelty Football items is what made it fun I literally said Fred the Red as you said it in the video! Like what has united and hairdryers got to do with each other. United really need to have a re think
The dressing room lights look a bit mental cant be like that on a matchday? The museum looks to have improved a lot. Fully agree about the store you can find more products on the club online store. Green and Gold half shirts were never worn (a 90s umbro marketing idea) they were red and white, the early green and gold was the green shirt with with gold collar seen in the vid
That’s it mate 😊 they’ve even got reference to that as you say on the walls of the museum 👍🏾 a Red & White halves would be a cool throwback to do one year… similar to what Bayern have done this season

Heres a question for you. Do you feel that OT is the home of the Rugby League Super League Grand Final. As its been hosting the GF since I can remember. ( I say yes and that if possible it should stay there ) My only issues are that the pitch is very short for the goal lines. The drop off is very steep. And the legroom in alot of seats is pretty tight. Personally on the question of if they should renovate vs new. Id say go build a new stadium. Make it the best possible. As the current space will have the same issues with pitch and the south stand backing on to the rail lines makes it very difficult to build that up without it being huge costs.
I’ll be honest I’ve never really watched Rugby League but aware that Old Trafford has hosted some big games here over the years 😊 The seating is tight & uncomfortable but like you said that’s the price you pay with such an old stadium. For me the only way forward is a new Tottenham Hotspur style ground on site
@RysFootyParadise Deffo. Build the best possible stadium next door. Maximise the revenue and also use to old OT site as a women's - youth - reserves stadium. So that the woman's team isn't having to trek out to Leigh sports Village for games. Turn the area round the stadium into a " sporting campus ". Make folks feel like they just walked into a special relm. Even on none game days
Was that Mata slander? Wonderful player for us. Good video though. Never bothered with the Red Café. When I did the tour last year that burger and off licence on the corner was open afterwards. Great food there.
Yeah cheap joke from me on Mata 😅 just don’t think he warrants a seat next to the likes of Best & Cantona in the Red Cafe 🙊 tidy player though 👏🏽 I’ve always loved the Red Cafe food - give it a try next time you’re at OT
At present The Old Trafford Stadium is still incomplete & needs to be completed first before you can sort out the roof. This Stadium has a lot of potential & can be one of the best Stadium in Europe with an original design cos it has character & authentic look with the potential capacity of over 90K, all it needs is some TLC. We agree that The top tier of the North Stand section should be removed & replaced with Big Screens area & to improve the atmosphere, the South Stand (the Sir Bobby Charlton Stand) has to be completed. Take Note: The Stadium Expansion MUST NOT exceed the rail track! Manchester United 'The Super Bowl' of stadiums is known as The Theatre of Dreams is unique & a Colossal of a stadium.
the stadium is 114 years old, it makes more sense to build a newer stadium naerby , as much refurbishment u can do it will still be limited as the based structure itself is outdated
@@RysFootyParadise Man Utd's Old Trafford Stadium known as 'The Theatre of Dreams' unique in style is the Super Bowl of stadiums & is potentially The best Stadium in the country, possibly the world. The Owners were the ones who stop the Original project by using the excuse of the rail track complications. As stated previously, the design has already been laid out for completion of the stadium by original designers, to finish before the train track but the owners compromised by installed the 3rd tier cos the fans were complaining about the capacity at that time. Alls well we like to think that once the owners depart or bring in SJR and his team we can address the layout for the necessary expansion of the South stand, East & West quadrant issue ASAP because Wembley or Man City's Etihad is to far to deal with the fan base, we're sure that can be achieved with minimal fuss, going by our walk around the stadium experience by observation. Take Note: The Stadium Expansion should Not Exceed the rail track. Love these stadium tours Ry and despite the critics Old Trafford is still a magnificent venue worthy of top class football. I love your constant references to the great Archibald Leitch and one of my favourite parts of any stadium was the old Trinity Road stand at Villa Park designed by the great man himself, the rampant lion, stained glass windows and the magnificent staircase now replicated in the Holte End.
As a Leeds fan I did the tour of OT in January 24 and as much as I wanted to slate it and pull it apart, it was a quality day out and the tour guides were immense.
I think if it wasn’t Man United playing at Old Trafford it wouldn’t get half as much criticism as it does… I suppose that’s at least something Man Utd & Leeds have in common… both hated 🤣
Yea you might be right pal, I do think with the amount of money the club has spent on transfers recently, there may have been some extra floating about to update the ground and fix what's broken. I do know the club is up to their eyeballs in debt though so maybe there's rules on what can be spent where.
