Up at college right now and this song is so true. I never feel myself up here and anytime i go home, i jump in the truck and just fly down backroads. Makes me feel like me again.
This has to be my favorite country song. Granger Smith is probably my favorite artist and has opened my eyes to how great country can be. As a rock fan im so happy to learn a whole new genre of music.
Yeah, I'm a little burned out from a hard week, Need to slow down, need to find me. I need a little unwind, I need a long trip, I need a Saturday night and a cold sip. I need sunshine and gasoline. Give me those miles and mud tires, Smoking back roads like a bonfire. Barefoot on the gas, ballcap on the dash, Windows down, little towns, blowin' right past When I've lost my soul They go rolling me right back home. It's been forever since I've seen a hook sink, I've got a pull in a box, sittin' in the backseat And I'll be taking the long way to the lake And if I gotta go slow, it's better that way. County roads, bumping like a stereo. Give me those miles and mud tires, Smoking back roads like a bonfire. Barefoot on the gas, ballcap on the dash, Windows down, little towns, blowin' right past When I've lost my soul They go rolling me right back home. A little mud on the windshield, A little sun on my skin. Six pack in the seat, nobody but me, Feels good to be rolling around again. Those miles and mud tires, Smoking back roads like a bonfire. Barefoot on the gas, ballcap on the dash, Windows down, little towns, blowin' right past When I've lost my soul They go rolling me right back When I've lost my soul They go rolling me right back home. Always rolling me right back home. Rolling me, rolling me, rolling right back home.
Granger, gotta say this is my favorite song so far. Ironically, I discovered your music when I started my office job at Cummins. Half of the guys and gals I worked with just seemed like every day white collar people. Come to find out under those work uniforms and on the other side of those headphones was a cut off shirt and some Earl Dibbles playing to get everyone through the day. Keep em comin man!
I am so glad that I stumbled across his music! I can't understand why his music isn't being played on the radio stations. It definitely is their loss!! Granger is great!!! True Country Music!!! And it is about time I finally found him!
You should check out his other channel on UA-cam, the Smith's. He really is a solid and Humble county singer . He's my favorite. I'm glad he is still being discovered by people today. He deserves it. God bless and YEE YEE!!
During the quarantine, I miss working so damn much. I can't handle more than 2 days off as I need to work to show my worth in life and as a productive citizen of the USA...tbh, i can't ever see myself retiring when old as I need to be working.
Granger Smith duh one of the best musicians out there. I enjoy older country myself but I love some modern music (Except Rap) listen to this guy more dude worth every second of his music.
I work 5 days a week doing the same thing every day but when the weekend comes, I go hiking up in the mountains of upstate ny to get away from it all. Its always such a relief getting some trail time from doing the weekly grind.
Come on everyone we need him on the radio more his songs are real and take us to LIFE his songs remind me I'm real in a real world but there is things I can do to unwind I love his music
That big 'ole red shabbie pickup I call it a shabbie b/c I a DIE HARD FORD FAN LITERALLY comes rollin around the bend in the road up to the "mall crawler jeep" 🤣👍..!!
Anyone that wears a suit and tie to work everyday knows taking that damn tie off at the end of the day is the best feeling in the world. Almost as good as hearing them old glass packs fire up on that seldom had day off.
I love all the people talking about gas cars and trucks saying that this is the best a day that's the best. it's all about what works best in situation. here in the rocky's people need diesels and 4x4 because of the grades and snow. people back east in the flats don't need 4x4 or in some cases not even diesels. it's about what works and your preference.
You dont need diesels... Unless you are towing or hauling a lot there is no point. This is coming from someone who has an 86 f250 with a 460 gas and a 2007 f350 powerstroke, both 4x4. It is also always easier to get the gassers started even the carbed ones (like mine) What you need for the grades is traction, not torque.
Miles and Mud tires! Love the sound of the BFG's on the Jeep blasting down backroads with the doors and roof off! Covered over 90,000 miles of backroads like that!
I'm stuck at Fort Sam Houston, abs this song reminds me of home, I love the my job in the navy but I wish I could be on a back road right now. Thank you Granger
It is a blessing to have a job like this. An educated veteran can even get a job to clean toilets out here. I wiss i had a chance to get a job like this and with the work/life balance. But in San Antonio TX, the job scene for anyone is scarce.
My auto correct added the i because I have car dealerships in my area I have talked about spelled Grainger, and I wasn't paying attention that it did it.
Who is still rocking this in 2024? 👌
Count me in!
YEE YEE!
Me
Never stopped
Yo!
Up at college right now and this song is so true. I never feel myself up here and anytime i go home, i jump in the truck and just fly down backroads. Makes me feel like me again.

In that EXACT same spot bro, ASU is slowly killin me
Man, ain't that the truth...can't wait to blast down some backroads on my bike come spring...
i know how you feel i cant drive the truck on road it is to big so when i get home from college i am going to jump in it and hit the backwoods
Same here at the University of Utah
I had that same truck sitting on 35s with a 6 inch lift. I miss that truck!
I still have my 78 K20 on 4in and 33s. Never for sale.
Genre doesn't matter here, talent does. Another thing that matters is that songs like these need to get played on work radio.
I agree this should be coming out of a speaker in the waiting room of a dentist office daily lol
This has to be my favorite country song. Granger Smith is probably my favorite artist and has opened my eyes to how great country can be. As a rock fan im so happy to learn a whole new genre of music.
