We call that using "the motorcycle lane." I was pulled over for using it on my way back from the west coast last year. With my NY license, on a bike with Oregon plates, not registered on my name. 🙄 - Cop was great, gave me a written wanring and sent me on my way. I posted a snip on one video, I had the camera running and did not think to turn it off. - Frank
Sure did look intentional. I don’t think riding on the shoulder is legal even for an off duty cop, as that guy claimed to be, but no reason to intentionally try to injure someone.
I was that Tow truck driver that's a bunch of bull shit lol he even said he was a Cop lol he should have known the laws he was stupid I was getting out of truck on right side due to traffic was very dangerous on left side as you all can see in video when out of nowhere he hit my door When I got to the Accident that's why I had my overheads and flashers on to warn everybody of the accident the CHP didn't give me a ticket or anything but when the CHP reviewed the footage he gave the Motorcyclist, the ticket. He he was in the wrong state of California save. Do not pass on the right side. It was clearly an accident. His fault, not mine was not onpurpose did not see him.
I didn't think driving on the shoulder is legal? Lane splitting and driving on the shoulder are 2 different things.😮
Intentional dooring is illegal as well
@@DarkSpectre01 good luck proving it was intentional.
@@thulsa5218 not that hard, dumbass. 😁👍
@@thulsa5218don't have to prove it, just have to convince a jury which is way easier to do if you have a good lawyer.
@@DarkSpectre01looked accidental to me
Give me your insurance for what ? You can’t drive on the shoulder.
This isn't lane splitting, it's driving illegal in the emergency lane.
That passenger door just happened to open up at the perfect moment to affect the rider. Hmmm.
Doc!!!
DOC !!!
Moral of the story, dont cheat
Looks like to me that they passenger in the truck did that on purpose!
Yup!
I agree!
GRUMP !!!
Two wrongs kind of does make a right

FRANK !!!
The bike driver should give the truck HIS insurance for wrecking his door.
Hey, how's it going? I'd like to use your clip in a moto edit. I'll make sure to credit you in all the descriptions. Is that okay?
It’s illegal to pass on the right if it’s marked with a line if there was no markings at all, you can do that
Hi! Is it permissible for me to include this video in my forthcoming content?
That was 100% intentional. I'd have beat the tall off that tow truck driver.
SPAZTECH - Thoughts & Prayers brother !!!
No you wouldn't have
He opened the door so slowly for not seeing the rider. He was trying to stop the rider cuz he's a jealous tow truck driver.
Hey man, Can I Include your video in a compilation? You will be credited
I didn’t know you could ride in the shoulder, but regardless, that was definitely intentional!!! What a jerk
Almost looks deliberate? Some ones far away from home?
That’s what I thought too. I took a wrong turn somewhere. Better issue a silver alert 🚨
Glad that the rider looked OK. You never really know what the other guy is going to do.
ROB !!!
That was on purpose!
Yeah, the biker was definitely illegally riding on the shoulder purposely
Sure did look intentional. I don’t think riding on the shoulder is legal even for an off duty cop, as that guy claimed to be, but no reason to intentionally try to injure someone.
I was taught to treat a bike like a car,
Guess that excludes lane splitting.
I know lane splitting is legal in some states but I am still too nervous to do it.
That wasn't lane splitting, it is in fact illegal to ride on the shoulder in any state.
Damn VW - That sucks !!! - Glad he was ok, and it wasn't you !!!! Back from NC !!!!
That’s messed up, that looked deliberate. Be careful out there Widget, lots of mean people in the world.

Was there a passenger in the truck or did thendriver reach over to open his passenger door?
Yes there was a passenger.
