I'm back with another vlog. Lorenzo celebrated his birthday on Friday, so we booked an Airbnb and went to Hermanus for the weekend. What a treat! #staycation #roadto10K

But I just wanted to say that your oIive oil should be stored in a dark bottle or a stainless steel container to eliminate light exposure because it can cause the quality of the oil to degrade and eventually become rancid 🙈

I just got a bit disturbed while watching this video especially during this time of trying our utmost best to get our town back to its feet again😥. But i think we all different but for me i think i would have given the people at the market to redeem themselves first like give them a chance to make you happy maybe you would have left with a different experience. Hope you come back cause feel like you missed all the beautiful places and exciting places
Hey Sive. Just like any other regular person, I came to Hermanus expecting a lovely, relaxing time (which I definitely had) however, most people don't document their experiences on video like I do, and I think that is why you're feeling a "bit disturbed" by watching this video. Most people don't publicly share their experience, unless its on a Hello Peter website or something to that effect.
I understand that you are proud of your town, and you should be. It is absolutely lovely. However, if I didn't enjoy something I did or something I ate, then how is that a direct reflection of an entire town? It was my very first time attending the market, with excitement might I add, and I was simply disappointed in the food. And that is okay. It happens wherever you go, but just because I mentioned it in a vlog on camera, it is seen as "an issue". How is a bad tasting meal MY fault? Should I have then asked them to remake the food so that I can have a completely different experience and then give a good review? That is in no way fair, especially because this entire staycation was personally paid for by my husband and I for his birthday.
If something does not taste nice or I didn’t enjoy an experience, I have no shame in saying that and sharing my thoughts on this channel, as that’s what my viewers want - honesty. My viewers trust my opinion, and I can't pretend that I liked something if I didn't. Don't you find that is fake or false advertising, in a sense?
As I mentioned in the video, I love Hermanus. I've been coming there for years, and will return regardless of a few bad meals. If you would like to, please leave a list of "all the beautiful places and exciting places" that you would recommend, and I'll be sure to check it out next time I visit Hermanus.

@@MsPaulaBee I never said im disturbed because you were honest with your experience but because you had a bad experience which is not nice when at a place. Also not saying you should have lied just saying I (what I would have done) would have told the people so that they know to avoid it to happen next time. Im well aware dear that it was paid for by your hubby (nice of him) but putting it here i think you open a platform for people to comment and it was not my intentions to come forward as bashing ( I think you miss my point completely). Will be happy to reccomend activities to do and places to visit when you come back

You must be new to my channel - I love some banter and having a good laugh 👍🏽 However, the reviews were our own and honest experience and we’re entitled to share that on my own platform. If something does not taste nice or I didn’t enjoy the experience, I have no shame in saying that and sharing the thoughts on this channel, as that’s what my viewers want - honesty.
I find that you honed in on the “negativity”. We actually enjoyed most of the things we did in Hermanus and many of the places we visited were wonderful, as we shared in the video. Surely you would have picked that up if you fully watched the video?
Not everything is 100% perfect in your hometown, and that’s okay. Nothing ever is any where you go. But we definitely did not give it a bad name. As I mentioned in the video, I love Hermanus.
Omg people who are inconsiderate to other people’s peace and privacy are so annoying😭 this comes from someone who has neighbors who blares music 24/7😭 like its a residential area not a club damn😩
