Wonderful stuff, I’m so interested in exploring this alongside woodwinds with fx so your videos are really helpful, thankyou for sharing in such a helpful way. Greetings from Canberra
With this one, I was twisting the knob 'by ear' till it sounded pleasing to me (sorta like a fretless string instrument?). There's a whole microtonal world available there too and what's pleasing is a matter of taste/perspective, but yes in general I think it's very tricky to tame mixer feedback into a 12-tone zone. I don't have any tricks up my sleeve beyond the by-ear approach :)
New subscriber here and new to NIMB. I have no problem making harsh noise and overdriven clipping rhythms, but really haven't been able to find a way to make lush ambient sounds. Is the secret tons of reverb?
Really nice
Giving me Blade Runner vibes

Sounds like a cool pairing. And hey I'm from Canberra!
When I get better kitted out we should play some music 👍👍
So cool dude. Any tips on playing a mixer wrt tonality? I noticed you were getting a lot of tones in pleasing intervals.

Yep I think that's one strategy. The other is applying low pass filters to remove high frequencies that can be perceived as more harsh.
