I heard you are moving to Malmo , Ola !!! What a good , "progressive" Swede !!! Some call it ignorant but just IGNORE THE FIRE & THE FLAMES !!! HAPPINESS IS BLESSING SWEDEN DAILY for the virtue signaling & delusional svedish GOVERNMENT . Cheers !!
@OlaEnglund I've worked very physical jobs off and on my whole life where you're inevitably going to be working days sore af. I came across this book listening to a podcast Becoming A Supple Leopard, the author is one of the most sought after physical therapists in the world. There's stretches and exercises in there to help mobility for pretty much any body part. It's been a game changer for me.
I've got a herniated disc in my neck. Been on painkillers for years and I'm due to have an operation to fix it in the next couple of months. I feel your pain brother, those things are no joke. Hope you're feeling better. Just be careful.
I first discovered the band P.O.D. when I first watched the comedy movie *Little Nicky* back in the early 2000s when I was a kid, and still love listening to them!
Greeting Sir Ola from the desolate wasteland known as upstate New York! First off that opening riff was downright brutal and brilliant! That being said I wanna touch base on your physical health concerns with your back and hip. I’m a 31 year old guy who has undergone spinal surgery on both my upper spine (fusion of 6 discs with titanium cage around the spine)… and fusion or two discs in my lower back (L4 and L5 causing sciatica)… good on you for getting it checked man… I myself have a condition called degenerative disc disease causing the cartilage and fluid around my spinal cord and discs to slowly wear away… I currently do not take pain meds as I was addicted to them for over six year (almost three years in recovery) just know you’re not alone in the fight of chronic pain and such. It ruins days sometimes and has caused me to have to leave work and opt out of many family events and adventures. It can be physically exhausting but also mentally exhausting as well. Please don’t let it get to the point where I was at sir. It took a lot of willpower, patience and just outright hatred for myself for how bad I let my addiction go… but with three kids and a wife… I had to get better. I would suggest physical therapy and chiropractic care as much as possible in order to keep yourself from having to go under the knife like I did (2 spinal surgeries and FOUR shoulder reconstruction surgeries) I wouldn’t wish that life on my worst enemy. All that being said… good on you for recognizing you needed help and getting it when you did. Sunday with Ola is a part of my routines on Sundays and I myself, as I’m sure many other would be very upset and sad if you were to have to take a hiatus from your channels because of chronic pain and everything that goes along with it. I manage to get through my day with plenty of exercise (avid trout fisherman) and the plethora of METALtastic gear I’ve acquired (most of which reviewed and approved by you yourself) and my amazing family. With the support of all of us who follow you and adore you… and the love and support of your personal friends and family… take it from someone who’s suffered for over a decade with similar issues… you’ll push through it and make it out a better person. MUCH LOVE from myself and I will be anxious to hear your progression with your physical health! P.S….. I’ve received a CHUG pedal from a close friend of mine… and let me just say now… besides my REVV G3 purple pedal… that pedal is by far the best I own so far. Pairs perfectly with my Marshall DSL20hr. Love you Ola!
I can definitely relate to back pain! Same here: herniated discs (upper and lower back) and they can hurt like a mofo... 🤣 Don't rely too much on pain relief - as good as it may feel right now - but talk to your physical trainer or fysiotherapist: they'll have exercises to strengthen the muscles around that area to balance out what caused that slipped disc (an imbalance), and a hernia can, and in most cases will, heal itself. Use meds when you really need to of course, but awkwardly enough it's good to be fully aware of the level of pain you're in - you'll also be able to feel better which treatment is working long-term! I've strengthened my back and core considerably with the right help, and at 58 I'm doing fine 🤘😎🤘
I highly recommend the Mudvayne albums "L.D. 50", "The End of All Things to Come" and "Lost and Found". Singer Chad Gray is also the lead vocalist for Hellyeah with former Pantera and Damageplan drummer Vinnie Paul.
I got to see one of Ozzy's final shows in his no more tours 2 run in Denver, Colorado. You could tell his age held him back, but he still put on an amazing show. I'm super happy to have seen him live while I had the chance and wish nothing but the best for him ❤
I’m a 46 cook outta Cleveland. I’m new to channel. Really cool. I don’t even play guitar. I’m gear for the music. The interviews are really good too. Now to your health.. Be careful with pain meds. They’ll make you feel great so you can hurt yourself more. Much love and respect from Cleveland
I herniated a disc in my lumbar spine about a year and a half ago! I never took any drugs, just a strict daily stretching routine and the pain goes away and stays away. It's such a pain in the ass (back) to deal with, but it's better than surgery 👍🏼
Your back pain is important to us Ola! If you begin a early 2000's Phillip Anselmo spiral, we need to know where it started. (Superjoint ritual was awesome though. God bless Phil)
I used to suffer from sciatica, but I don't any longer because I now have an inversion table. But if you get one, don't go full invert right away. You have to work your way up to it or else you might pull some muscles. But I hope you recover soon man, I know that shit sucks!
P.O.D. has actually been making music the whole time. Years ago they acquired the guitarist from Living Sacrifice who was also the vocalist but I don't think he sings for P.O.D. at all. As a result the collab with Randy Blithe doesn't surprise me as much. :)
I feel your pain, about 10 years ago I had 3 herniated disks and could hardly sit down. After many trips to the chiropractor he was able to work the disks back in but I did end up with permanent nerve damage in my foot.
Ha ha cool, Projects In the Jungle is the only Pantera vinyl I own. Bought it from the band at a record store signing in Fort Worth back when it came out, and yes it is autographed by the band. Welcome to the club
Take care of that back. I broke mine, had surgery. Yoga stretches, ice packs and an inversion table keep me from going back to the doctor. Love the Swola shows, peace and metal!
I still have all of Pantera's early stuff on Cassettes. Amazing stuff! I was listening to those before Cowboys From Hell came out! I wish they would have played some of those early songs even after they hit it big.
I saw Mudvayne open up for Slipknot in 1999 in Milwaukee, the line up was Mudvayne, Dope and then Slipknot... L.D. 50 had not yet been released, I was impressed by them. I saw Slipknot twice in 1999, first was summer at Ozzfest in Indianapolis, the day their first album dropped... we had got a sampler cassette before ozzfest and we played it like crazy! It was so crazy... It would be soo cool to see you have a coffee with Stephen Carpenter if you could get him to leave the States... I want a X1.7SVART+ - BLACK MATTE - looking forward to the 7 string to be released...
As someone who also suyffers from chronic sciatic nerve pain in my back and hip, I quite literally feel your pain. It ain't that fun. Hope it improves for you!
I've got that disks problems in my back too.... Been living taking low level narcotics for 8 years, and. . I cope...some days are worse than others... Tramadol and naproxen... Like a half a Percocet... Not quite. But I get enough to ease the pain on the rough Days
Great Swola!! Glad to hear you got your back checked out Ola. I’ve got that dreaded nerve pain too :( but the pain killers do help! Have a great Sunday!
I went to a chiropractor to take care of my sciatic nerve issues. No drugs. I couldn't even sit to drive a car for any longer than 10 minutes. Going to the chiropractor was the best for me.
I mean, Ozzy mentioned that no matter how this surgery goes he won't be getting another one but as far as singing goes he said he is fine and puts a lot of effort to be able to go unto the stage again. He talks about it here and there in their new podcast "The Osbournes".
Dude. I totally get the back /hip issues. The only thing that helps me is getting a chiropractic adjustment. The relief I get is amazing and I can sleep!
another great vid Ola ! i couldn't help but notice your speakers for your turntable setup....for better sound move them away from the wall about 12-24 inches.
I’d ask how it was, but I’m sure it was a great show , I’ve seen them 5x and as recently as 2 months ago and Megadeth is always awesome!🤘🏻 Hope the new dude stepping in for Kiko for a bit killed it , I’ve seeing a bit of his playing and he definitely seems like a good fit for Megadeth. Hopefully Kiko is doing well with the family stuff and that we will see him in time but I also hope that this gives the new guy lots of new fans as well, from what I’ve already seen he deserves it ! 🎸🤘🏻
Hey Ola, I can relate to your back problems as I have gone through them since my 20s (I'm now 43). I went through surgery, pain killers (what a good name for an album it would make!..), physicists, therapists, etc. The sad truth is it will only get worse as you age and ultimately it is more about listening to your body and learning to deal with pain without making the cure worse than the problem. You're a smart guy, you'll figure it out if not already. Nice guitar in the intro, I have one of the same, one of my favs, il is killer in drop C! Cheers.
Ola, talking about all of your brilliant ideas and stuff, I think you should do a Metal In Public series, it would be really nice to see the streets of Sweden and the reaction of locals to some of the heaviest riffs in the universe (got that reference?) 🤘🤘🤘🤘
I held onto tickets for half a decade to see Ozzy at the O2 with Priest opening, so bummed that the gig never went ahead, but you've always got to put your health first
I'm just glad and lucky I got to see him over 25 times , he's always been my favorite. He's a living legend but I doubt if he'll ever perform live again , even on his new podcast he doesn't sound is optimistic as he did even a few months ago...
I remember seeing a video of Dimebag when he was like 17 or 18 at a talent show, or battle of the bands, (can't quite remember which), but he was absolutely just melting peoples faces off with his shredding and I was blown away at the fact he was THAT good at such a young age.

Stephen is a legend for sending Ola that vinyl!
absolutely.... the record is worth a fair amount these days too so to just give it away is incredibly generous!!
And the editor is a legend for mustering the energy to keep up with the gesturing Ola put it through altso!
@@chris.mcewin yes and Ola is the perfect guy for it
The more back in time you go, the more you hear the VH influence on Dimebag's playing 🤘
Would I be a complete douche to say that I kind of liked that better than what twenty-three year old Eddie put out...?
@@johnjohn37371 no because it's your opinion dude

Static X is sooo criminally underrated. Wayne Static is a riff machine
You can’t hide talent, Glamtera sounded sick! Even with the warp!
That’s what vinyls are all about, reading the covers while listening to the songs
Eh... Yeah that's part of it.
The "really fun" part about vinyl records is cleaning them!!! 🤣
The intro is amazing! Very fresh. You broke the meta you have created for yourself and I love it.
Finally made the premier... Happy Sunday from South Africa🥳🥳🥳

Love nu metal, got me into more guitar driven music back in the day. And I still dip back in now and then. It's just a good time.
Dime's solo on We'll Meet Again is so underrated
I have the first 4 Pantera albums on vinyl. They were pricey but worth every penny. Power Metal is underrated for sure
Ola is the gateway to metal ✔️
That Dime solo was absolutely sick
I have consistent back pain and more recently hip pain. I dont know but it feels good to know others are suffering and working through it like me.

Watching SWOLA in the car really lets you crank the intro riff - she was rocking this morning 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

I always enjoyed Nu-metal. Missed P.O.D when they came to my country, we rarely get decent international acts - still upset about that 🤦♀🤘

Ola, Sciatica sucks. I take Gabapentin for that shit. Fuck yeah, so Happy to see Ryan Martinie playing again with Mudvayne. cheers 🍻
Gapapentin would be the next step.

Amazing! I was waiting for the riff from SWOLA100 and here it is in Anger Management.
I had the same pain and hip problems from a herniated disk: Start doing yoga!!! It changed my life, the pain is gone...
Love the new Cryptopsy album. Dying fetus also released a banger. That Pantera vinyl sounds mint! So cool!

Limp Bizkit playing "Break Stuff" in Woodstock '99 only for 400,000 people to do exactly that was one of the most metal moments in music history.
Disagree. It was a stupid thing done by stupid people encouraged by a stupid frontman of a terrible band. Not metal at all.
