There was a time when you couldn't walk through any hood in the BX without seeing EASY up somewhere. And BESTER, JEW, SMITH, SANE (RIP) , WEN, WIPS, WANE, RYNO, NEAR (RIP), COE, VYNE, JA ONE - the list goes on, so many bombing legends from New York.

Repeat1 XXX It's a great way to get known. If nobody can read your tag then how are you supposed to be known?
On another note though, there is definitely something to be said about having quality and quantity. If you don't have quality then nobody gives a fuck about you, but you need to actually be seen too.
Repeat1 XXX i preferably like all the clean, readable, simple tags. whats the point of a tag if you cant read it? maybe othet graffiti writers can read it but normal citizens will think, "our theres that scribble again"
depends, some shit just looks ill whether or not you can read it and just seeing the image of it whether legible or not will make people be like oh shit that's that dude. it's kinda like pieces in that sense.. lots of people can't read em but if they're done well, no one cares they still like lookin at it. i'd say speed probs plays a big role. they're rollin through high traffic cop heavy areas that are already grilled with graffiti. gotta be able to get clean good shit up fast.

true story watching this video and thinking back in the 80s i was in east harlem n growing up on both the west and east of harlem everywhere i would be you would see legends like JOZ easy killing shit i aint start destroying shit till 90 go in heavy from 91 to 94 hard .
but coming up it would bug me out how these cats where killin shit JSH5 too , also i would see cats like Bester Ja. Bannanas.
