Edit: guys I know the punches and kicks don’t really connect and I know they have safe ways of landing…but suplex’s , powerbombs, jumping off of ladders, etc…isn’t fake…..I know it’s scripted but most of the moves are real…just thought I’d clarify myself

@@FORTYSIXTWENTYSEVEN He probably wrestled 50-75 matches post-ecw, last one in 2017. Every 4th one, or so, was a retirement. But in his defense, when ecw went under he'd been wrestling for like 35 years already.

Droz was left paralyzed in 1998 in the middle of a match, and a recent example, Perro Aguayo Jr passed away also in the middle of a match, believed or not there are risks and these performers deserve respect for what they do

Everything Jeff put his body through in the last 25 years is part of the reason he has issues now. Many wrestlers are in a constant state of pain and try to dull it any way possible.

This is why I respect Logan Paul. Following his life since Vine and look where he is now. He’s the biggest star in the world and it’s still blows my mind and others minds as well that here’s living the life that not a lot of celebrities are doing. It’s a dream and Logan Paul living one of the best dreams turned realities that anyone growing up watching can live. More potential life than less fame over time.
Wrestlers spend their lives learning how to keep themselves as "safe" as possible doing insane and spectacular stunts and moves. They learn how to perform these moves, how to take these moves, how to fall in a way that (hopefully) doesn't permanently injure or kill them. It's not all about the promos and star power. You have to be able to perform physically exhausting stunts for 5 minutes or more. It's physically taxing.

Wrestling is probably the most physical sport. It’s like football but without pads or helmets. It’s like boxing or ufc but 100 times a year. People don’t get that wrestling takes so much more skill
and you have to protect yourself as well as your opponent
Pro wrestlers are willingly taking physical punishment but are not trying to actually hurt or injure one another. In mma and boxing, they are trying to do as much damage as possible to one another. Huge difference mentally and physically. Pro wrestling doesn't take more skill than mma or boxing. It just takes different skills.
You can see that he's been bitten by the bug. He loves it, and I welcome him with open arms. He belongs in that ring. Never thought I'd say that, but he truly is a natural.

If it were not scripted, they will kill each other. Their job is to entertain people. It has nothing to do with fake. It`s a sport, and that sport is really hard.

I can conceptualize with underestimating indie programs but the WWE is the WWE.

I met Road Dog Jesse James, The Godfather, and Big Boss Man years ago, this is exactly what Road Dog talked about to me and my buddies how much the moves and the slams etc hurt. He told me even guys will ask him to use moves on him and he'd say no, lol bcuz of how bad some moves would be. That was roughly 23 years ago back when DX was huge. It was a cool night hanging with those guys after Sunday Night Heat n Raw we're in Lexington Kentucky. Great night never forget it ✌️💙
That's why I don't take non wrestling fans seriously who disrespects pro wrestling. They don't know the difference between fake and scripted... But hey we live in a world full of ignorant people 🤷🏾♂
People who call it fake are the ones who never took a bump in their lives. I was in the arena when Seth Rollins got injured and later we got to know his injury was life threatening.

Imo it varies some wrestlers prefer to land kicks and punches just not that hard and others prefer to play it safe

Yeah, to be fair, people do confuse "scripted" and think it means its all fake. Not everything is fake, but it's practiced over and over so that the wrestlers dont get too hurt in the end.

I did some training in the ring. Not all matches are scripted. I thought everyone should know this. Literally like 90% of it is. However there is times you have to wrestle someone you're completely unfamiliar with and unexpected things can happen.
Loving seeing Logan throw himself fully into wrestling. Wasn't a fan of him playing with boxing and I'm too old to have followed him as a UA-camr. As an old school wrestling fan though I can see his dedication in the short amount of time he's wrestled. Him being a superstar already with a young audience will bring more eyes to wrestling. That's a good thing. Hope to see him wrestle long-term.

I also thought the ladders were fake, but in a house show I got to touch a ladder while they were setting up ringside and the ladders are actually solid. Cheap-ish material, but solid.

I never liked the Paul Brothers, and I don't like people coming into something that other people worked there whole life for, but I do respect it when you actually take it serious. I have to respect this guy for doing the work.

Was never a fan of Logan Paul and even now still bit iffy about him but honestly ever since he's joined WWE his image has improved quite a lot to a point where u might not like the guy but u got respect for him.

Proves wrestling isn't fake, from their past injuries. You're constantly falling down, sometimes doing crazy stunts. There will be days when you accidentally get punch for real. If you landed the wrong way or someone used their moves wrong, that could be careers ending right there.
