Kudos for giving them a chance, one can not like everything. X Japan is as important to the metal scene in Japan as Black Sabbath are to the western bands.
They not a pure metal band ..yoshiki say it self..they are combine kiss+queen they more a progressive rock and melodic style also have a ballad song ..what you accept from them..they style music its a root what we hear in many japanes music today whats we called visual kei..and maybe for u not accepted this type of music..but not for other people ..they enjoy this band and love it..this band uniq and have a own charecter..no band in this world have a charecter like this x japan..they play metal..ballad..rock ..orchestra all in one..forgive for my bad english comment
Usually people who don't like something they react to are so disrespectful about it, but I really appreciate how respectful you were about what you thought about this band. You were straight forward and didn't say anything insulting the music, band, or the fans, and you don't didrespect people who like it, so they don't disrespect you, everyone's happy

Okay guys chill for the different opinion😄. This guy's main personal love/taste of music style is in underground metal so that's understandable.
Here my opinion too (ignore it if you don't care, I'm just sharing). While me at first have enough listen to modern underground metal but now getting older become more objective I've no problem with any musical genres as long it's singing it's okay, for additional Light Growl/Scream vocal still okay but now for Total Growl/Deep Growl vocal I can't tolerate it anymore & auto switch 😂.
Also, soon it'll be extremely hard to find underground metal band still perform in their late 50s or more. The only way can still survive is being softer to more general rock/metal like BMTH, A7X, BFMV, Trivium, AA, etc.

Anyways, appreciate your honesty, don't know what your personal style is, but you explained yourself very good and kept a certain amount of respect, because you know yourself, that not everyone gets what you're doing onstage.

Not sure if he would like "I'll kill you" though, it's kinda 80s' to me. Probably something from Dahlia era or after XJapan reunion works better. But anyways i agree with you
It doesn't really matter. He ain't really like oldschool style that doesn't fit him, he preffered style of modern underground music.
dahlia or scars may be a better fit for him.

I'm hardcore into vkei but I could never really get into the vocal of X japan, So I'm pretty much of the same opinion despite this being considered sacrilegious probably. lol
Why judge on style? and stop picking your nose, when you do close up video.
