I don't even know why they need the bus driver to drive the team bus. The sea of Argentinians could have just carried the bus on their shoulder and take the team where they want to go :-) As an aside, I think it's about time FIFA award a World Cup site selection to go to South America. The Brazilian and most notably the Argentinian crowd that had went to the 2018 and 2022 World Cup must be rewarded for their dedication to this event.

Sad that the team never made it to the Obelisco. Most fans never caught sight of any players. The bus tour was cancelled because it couldn’t drive through the droves. They pulled off on an offramp and players were “evacuated” by helicopter.

One of them is the ballon d'or, another one is the best ball retriever while the other is one of the best play makers. Not to forget a young talented goalkeeper playing in AC Milan and the best player of Bundesliga.

Btw I couldn't watch the first two penalties out of nervousness of Messi potentially losing it that way, can't even imagine how it must've felt for Argentinians and how much pressure it was for the players and especially Messi after how the game went down.

there will not be another like this for the next 4 world cups at-least. Even if messi and ronaldo both played the next one. its a hollywood fairytale ending written in the stars kind of story can never be replicated without 15-20 years in the making. Imagine if Arg and Port played in the finals how many people would have watched it. Closest script I can think of is england produced a super a super star 5 times ballondor winner who lost 3 world cups and win the last one at the age of 35 and engalnd win in 2040s first time since 66....but for some reason the English aren’t as universally loved ...so maybe this kind of story will never be replicated in our lifetime.

Probably the bus driver was incredibly happy, and very scare at the same time. The parade didn't reach the Obelisk, the players ended flying over the place in helicopter.
