Bernier was never a starter and he never will be Nonis Burke and Ferguson had to be 3 of the worst GMs in Leafs history. We're still cleaning up their mess to this day
#3 is BS! Youre telling me, the greatest player ever, would just throw a puck out blindly in the slot, late in the 3rd period of game 7, just hoping someone would be there?!? Look at his head on the replay. It was up, he was looking the whole time. 99 knew EXACTLY what he was doing!
Bernier and Reimer...fck those were bad azz years man....worst set of goalies in leafs history.......cannot believe they were our number 1 goals....no team should ever have them as number 1
Bernier was better than Reimer. Maybe not by much but the Toskala / Gustavsson days weren't exactly bright, either. Imagine going from Cujo to Belfour and to these guys. Can't believe they didn't go out to get a bonafide #1 for so long. Not much has changed now. Murray was supposed to be the #1 with this cups and he's a total bust. Who would have thought he'd turn into a snowflake? Samsonov is ok but I wouldn't say he's #1 and Woll is a rookie. Has a tinge of that Toskala / Monster vibe right now.
The worst one of all was not shown. Jack Shill's attempted clearing the puck out of his own zone beat Turk Broda in the 1938 Stanley Cup Finals between the Chicago Black Hawks and the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Honorable Mention: the five goals Paul Bibeault gave up to Maurice Richard in the 1944 Stanley Cup Opening Round. It was Richard's first major playoff outburst. Bibeault was a horrible goalie but Richard are him alive. The three stars of the game were Richard, Richard, and Richard.
IMO I think May 13th, 2013 ruined Reimer. He was the reason why they weren't a lottery team and almost stole the series against the Bruins. It got to the point where the Bruins controlled the play at will for most of the series down the stretch.
Ron Maclean should've said this about the Leafs losing Game 7 to the Bruins. "If it wasn't for the Leafs, it wouldn't have been for John Lennon if his killer got away from arrest and ended up in hiding for years immediately after the murder."
"He's been excellent, very economical in goal...except for that." LMAO
if there was ever a kiss ass trophy in the NHL.... Ray Ferraro would win it....

Yupp, unbelievable. A one on four, never should have happened, amazing.
The one against Peter Ing wasn't super bad considering the major deflection of his own d man's stick.
That would also count as an own goal.
The Bester one is not as bad as legend has it. He was screened and it was possibly lost in one of the skates here.
I clicked on the video because of Bester but was just disgusted how many times Reimer and Bernier were featured here.
That was a mighty shot.
I recall Gord McRae let in an all-time softie during the 1977-78 season in Richfield, OH against the Cleveland Barons.
Already knew #1 was gonna be Toskala 😂
This video brings me so much happiness
"The Leaves"
Must be a Habs fan.
Should do one of these on Crha, he's got at least ten worse
I don't even need to watch this to know like 4 of them will be against bernier
Ironically the long goal Toskala let in for number 1 was the only goal he let in the whole game 🤨
And did u see the bounce it took
Bernier should stick to his modelling career.

For pennies a day, you could help someone that is less fortunate than yourself, by helping the Maple Leafs get a decent goaltender.
Ed Belfour was the last good goalie we had.
No disrespect, but you guys got Anderson and he's been killing it this season.
@@a1driver982 no💀
What are you gonna do on number 7 his stick got cot by the post
What no highlights of Jiri Crha, Michel Larouque, Jim Rutherford, Curt Ridley or Vincent Tremblay?
Bad memories for any Leafs fan.

Who’s here after game 1😂?
Bernier holds what? 4 spots on that top-10 list???? Talk about Hardy Astrom SPecials.!
The monsters needs to be lower on the list like 2nd or 3rd the fkn puck was going wide
Bernier let in some beauties
Wonder if Tusk came up short that night with his wife... even the big bluey cant help that embarrassment.
Why number 6?
Playoff game... Bester was known for letting in goals between the legs. That said, it wasn't nearly as bad as the other goals in this list.
Bro, like half of these were Bernier lol
#10 should be #1
Bernier was horrible.
no Swissa Cheesekala? .. How is that possible?
goal #1
3:50
@@belarusianliberta I somehow missed the end.. haha .. Thanks
Bernier can not handle a puck.
Toskala, Gustavsson, and Reimer all had the potential to be stars until Francois Allaire ruined them
Well they didnt do much better outside toronto either
@@tiwillemo That's a good point, but I never did understand that whole fascination with Allaire.
He was supposed to be a guru with the butterfly save. Problem is, that style of goaltending is outdated in today's NHL.
