I’m happy for BTS, they deserve all the praise and success in the world but wish people could also listen and explore other music like WayV as well! So underrated. @@jadajadapatton6374 there's comparison because people are sleeping on their talent and charms when they are so much better than so many boy groups out there. I honestly had the same reaction when I encountered WayV for the first time. Like why aren't they famous when they are so good while less talented groups have bajillions of fans? And then recently Ten released Birthday and I was even more disturbed. Like, his level of fame is so much lower than his level of talent. The gap is too much. Like I can't think of a single kpop idol who could execute the choreography of Birthday and Dream in a dream better than he can and still look super cool in choreos for Take Off, Action Figure, and even Taki-taki.

as an army its true, unfortunately a lot of groups are overshadowed because of fanwars etc. BTS are legends but people need to stop comparing groups and support and like them for their individual groups
As one commenter said, WayV is a sub-Unit of NCT, so although it debuted 1.5 years ago, almost 70% of the members already produced songs with NCT U sub-unit so they’ve been around for years...since 2016 formally, and even previous to that when they performed as “SM Rookies”.
Four NCT members (two from 127 sub-unit and two from WayV sub-unit) are also part of “SuperM” which is the collab group of NCT, EXO and SHINee.
Hats off to you gentlemen for recognizing, acknowledging and praising these very underrated young men. NCT is not too well known yet at the same time, has huge and strong fan bases spread out globally. Therefore, it doesn’t matter if “the number of fans is ___ less than such and such other group”. It’s never about the numbers, for them or for NCTzens (their fandom name).
Their music is known through word of mouth (much like how you came to hear about them) as well as if not more than their agency’s promotion. They speak about measuring every success/failures of album releases against their own previous album releases, never against any other group.
They are a very humble group of young men who never promote themselves aggressively. Virtually all and every voluntary or humanitarian work they (as a group or individual members) do is always done very quietly and discreetly, never through public announcements or to gain popularity. Because of it their fan base increases only slowly but steadily.

They come under SM entertainment and they are the Chinese sub unit of NCT - I can tell you they certainly appeal to ALL woman and needless to say men too !!! Two of the members Ten and Lucas are also in SuperM - all in all a really talented group of guys - please check out more from them.

WayV is actually the Chinese sub unit of NCT! NCT currently has 23 members and 4 sub units: NCT 127, NCT Dream, NCT U and WayV! NCT has a new album coming out NCT 2020 in October (pt1) & November (pt 2) with all 23 members. They’re also going to be promoting different songs off the album in smaller mixed groups. I highly recommend checking out the other NCT units as well since they’re just as amazing👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
Wayv is definitely a more “mature group”😕 I don’t know how to put it their songs are more for grown people their fans are actually 50% male and 49.97% female most in their 20s and 30s which is honestly different for a boy group they’re part of Nct they’re the Chinese sub unit

I know with you starting out you will have a lot of suggestions. I agree that a lot of people over look a large amount of great groups because they are stuck on just BTS. Its sad because a lot of these groups put in so much work and their music is so great that you are just sitting there like whyyyyyy doesn't anyone see how great they are. I don't want to give you too many groups too quick but these are, I think, some that you will really vibe with what they are doing. I gave some reasons on why I picked them, and certain ones are dance practices that I think you would like to see. They play with their beats and switch it up in fun and new ways.
EXO: Monster (Amazing intro song to show off their dance skills), Electric Kiss Dance Practice (MV is really jumbled and will have you confused and the dance is amazing), Tempo (The beat and hook will be stuck in your head for days), Love Shot (Love it), KokoBop (Funky beat and fun video), Growl (shows off their dancing and how synchronized they are as a group), Mama (Debut song when they first came out), Wolf (fun beat), Obsession (newest drop and OMG the beat, the song, the dances PERFECT)
