That was cool. Felt very chill too. Spirits are more willing to communicate with people who are relaxed and open to listen. Wait longer in between questions to give them a chance to talk and share their stories. They all want to be heard, but it takes time to let them know you're there for all of them. Keep it up!
When they built the lake it could be possible they didn't remove all the old graves. We used to live near an old cemetery where nature had taken over, trees were growing out of the graves, most of the gravestones were gone. In summer the vegetation was so dense it just look liked an overgrown garden.
I've always been highly suspicious of these "spirit boxes" because it just sounds like a radio that won't actually tune in, and nothing "said" ever actually makes sense. I don't think if these things, if there are any things, are good if they're constantly swearing at you. I didn't hear swearing, but the interpretation seems to think that was happening. That's typically associated with entities that aren't "good". I don't just mean the one you've done, absolutely everyone who has ever done anything with those gets the same reaction from me. Seems to me if there were spirits that had something to say, they wouldn't be using a bunch of garbled nonsense to get it across. I feel the same way about EVP's too. But I also question why people who go exploring haunted places always do it at night with the lights off. If a place was haunted, why do the ghosts only present themselves at night?

I got really sad hearing they needed help. Maybe try reading up how to help a spirit move on, tragic accidents tend to cause their spirit to be left behind. My Mom was born in the coal mining town Kettle Island, KY. Shes literally a coal miners daughter. Id love to see more posts like these. Its nice to finally see your interests.
