Thank you - if hiking in the area be careful of quick sand around the Dirty Devil River. BLM has warned on this on their website and we came across several patches of this.
Drove in on Poison Springs then Black Jump Rd which is on West side of the Dirty Devil River. This was after few nights in the Maze. We love it too - drove all the way from NC.

Were you driving mostly on the east or west side of that canyon? Love that area.

If you take the basic route you only cross the Dirty Devil twice
We did the basic route on return. Dropped in 1 mile south of actual canyon which resulted in 11 crossings. Loved it! Incredible area!
