Thats mind blowing even in a thousand years i dont see myself upgrading my macbook air to 16 GB the way you just did
I would rather invent my own MacBook Air if I could follow these steps.
I just got a terabite external hard drive plugged it into the USB port on the side then taped the unit to the top of my laptop so it is not hanging or dragging around all the time and now I have upgraded to Big Sur and have tons of storage/memory.

Look for anyone who fixes GPUs near you, they will definitely get this done as it’s basically an identical process to a GPU memory replacement

it is possible but it required to change 16 ram chips not including the ram straps..that why we dont provide the upgrade service for it and it is difficult to acquire the rams

it is possible to upgrade to 8GB ram. For 16GB ram you need to inject some bios line as original apple bios max ram is 8GB

You can find the chips by searching up the number on your own ramchips, the ones on your board. They have to be 4gb each 4x4(16) instead of 1gb. That beeing said this is amazingly difficult especially without the right machines. Even if you were to pull it off youd have to do the right calibrations to make shure it wouldn't just die after 6 months of use.
