You are my favorite Altenew Design Team member. Your instructions are always clear and progress at just the right pace. This is a beautiful card. Thanks for showing us how it's done.
Gorgeous as usual Jaycee!!! I love to sculpt the petals to cast shadows as well, definitely gives a more realistic look to the finished product. Love the card and the antiquing technique as well. Love your process and am grateful for you!!! Sending blessings, love, & hugs always!!!
Living first in New Orleans and then the Mississippi Gulfcoast, I have always lived in amazing azalea 🌺 country (unfortunately we go way to soon into humid summer) but I truly love our spring- you have captured them beautifully! And yes, pillowy, delicate, translucent yet velvety, such delicate and beautiful flowers… easily knocked down by a heavier rain; however, the bloom multiple times!
What a fabulous tutorial! Love the idea of only glueing part of the die cut down and then raising the other pieces. Your colors are absolute a direct replication of the azalea's I had in my yard in CT! Love your work and hope to see much more!
Beautiful card! Never thought to ink the embossing folder after running it through once, brilliant result! Researching flowers online is also a good tip, and not glueing the layers completely really made a huge impact for a more realistic image. Thanks so much for sharing your talent… you really are talented!! I would enjoy any other insights that lead to more realistic looking layered florals , the use of just different card stock makes for a very ‘flat’ floral in my opinion. Will definitely be checking out your class as well! TYFS 😀
Thank you, Mari. That's very helpful feedback. I've always admired realistic looking stamped flower cards. Flower dies should also share that same one-of-a-kind care, just in my crafty perspective.
Oh WOW, Jaycee - this is gorgeousness!!! 😮😃😍 I love Altenew's layering dies very much, but never would have thought to colour the die pieces like that instead of cutting from coloured cardstock. That opens up a lot more options for creative uses with them! Love it, thanks! Ummm, how did I not think to look for you on IG!?! 🙃 Fixed that already. 😂
I'm much more active on IG! And this technique of coloring each layer stems from a smaller crafting supply stash. At first I didn't have colored cardstocks, so I chose to color them myself with an array of dye inks. Now the challenge is how to make them look realistic. And the video is what I have learned so far in achieving this look. 😄

@@JayceeGaspar that’s how I get inspiration for peonies, mountains, etc.!
Very beautiful!
Beautiful azaleas! I like that you researched real azalea colors and then layered the inks to achieve a more realistic affect.

@@JayceeGaspar that makes such sense! I’ve got way more inks than paper stock. ❤️👍🏻
Has this set already been released? I have a subscription to this plan but I haven't seen the release.
