I bought a DJI osmo action 4 camera and but your videos made me realise that the superview on the GoPro just feels a lot more immersive, definitely one of the best cameras for UA-cam

Don't race as much as I use to ☹️. Injury and throttle leg not as good as it was . As of Sunday have kept a 16 year outdoor karting streak alive ! Learned a much better rental racer and track Marshall than a kart owner ! Rarely missed podium and scored a 2nd on Sunday . My best result as a 4 season kart owner was a 6th ☹️ A extra 40lbs of lead added to kart hurt for sure 💩. For what was my last race I DNF for pre final and pulled all the weight . WOW what a difference 😁😁😁😁🏁
Yeah I hear loads of people complain about sparco rush gloves however similar to you I really can't fault them and will probably buy the same again once they eventually die
I use the same gloves and they are good for like 3 months then they kind of fall apart search up minus 273 gloves that's what you want.
May i get opinions in the K Attack gloves
I feel you on the resisting the erge to sleep in it as a speedway driver (dirt oval) I have a custom suit and it is the most comfortable thing you could ever wear.
Zamp helmets are great. Use them in a dirt oval car. RZ70E I think. Also, I agree on the gopro stuff. I have a Hero 7 and that does 4K, fine for me. And even then I only film in 1080p60 but could change it to be honest. Might look at upgrading the setup in my car lol

Hi, I just started go karting and had my first crash, can you tell me if it was a bad one or not? I was going down a ramp on a track with no friction, didn't see a corner and used the breaks to try and stop on time. Because it's a no friction track I span out and someone rammed into the back off me. My side ment flying into the go kart and my helmet came flying off. It was a red flag and I came off for that race but then did the next race

If you have a mic what do you use and where do you put it to record good audio? Would really appreciated, Im trying to start making karting videos
My mic for my commentary is an Elgato Wave 3, I have it on a mic arm on my desk and it's usually about 20cm from my face when I'm doing comms. I record at 80% input volume and then increase the volume in post in order to eliminate any reverb.

I cut a hole into the lining of my helmet and basically stuck it there with a hot glue gun. It's really scuffed, but it works for now 😂 The Pitlane Collective has a great short explaining the process if you check out his channel

Getting in to karting any tips
How much of an improvement to your performance does a suit and shoes really make? Is there a mental "im a pro now" aspect giving you 2 tenths a lap or is the comfort and safety worth it alone.
To be honest, it's more of a style and comfort kinda thing. Wearing a suit is mandatory at pretty much all UK rental tracks, so it's just nice to have my own rather than a tacky one that's possibly been worn by ten people in that same day.
What head sock do you use
Yo, I've seen the Sparco Thunder has a belt, but the Kerb doesn't (atleast on the front that is) So are the side velcro things enough to keep the bottom half of your suit not falling off or slipping when walking or do they like slip off quite often because when i'm done with my rotax senior sessions, we have like a 35 min break for the micros and juniors to test so i'll be walking a ton half suited. thanks in advance mate
Honestly that is potentially an issue if you plan on wearing the suit half-off for long periods of time, I usually just keep it kinda zipped up above my waist if I ever need to wear it like that

Won’t that mini cam come off its magnets and potentially hurt your face in a serious crash given it’s inside your helmet.
