I replaced mine through the right side. It took longer to remove the plastic than it took to remove the starter Mine was dirty, cleaned it & dabbed silicone grease on the pivot shaft & works like new.
@@38baby2snippetz5 When I was riding if I cut it off and tried to crank it back it would act like the battery was dead but when I checked the battery it was showing 12 volts.
Dude I had two of my bolts on the cvt cover strip out and it's the only thing I could think to do is run some black rtv and a washer and nut it works better than a 300 dollar back plate and an annoying amount of work
How about you show where the starter bolt is held on seems like a pretty critical step to just barely mention? Does the cover need removed, i sure cant see any other bolts? The only reason i watched your video and its not here
It's not. I just removed mine from the right side of the atv in 20min. Removed running board then the 10mm bolt to the starter and popped the starter out 🤷🏼♂️

No I accessed the starter from the right side of the machine (Can Am 1000 G2 outlander) 2016 model
You make it look so easy. Good job. Like how simple you make it.
It's not a bad job to do lol just VERY time consuming
@@DirtyLensVisuals I want to change my belt to a Mavrick belt. The video shows it well.

It's on the other side. What would be nice is if he showed how to get the clutch off, to get past the shroud.
Wow those clutches are very dirty!
What was wrong with your starter?
Same process for the commander?
Thanks
Where is the starter bolt to be exact?
can you drop link to starter or brand
Denso
I wasn't able to find where the screw head is on the other side of the machine. It's a Defender
Wtf is wrong with can am for making it so difficult to replace a starter ???
