    The workers were on a break at the moment. There are many people who were visiting to observe the sawmill in operation. They are not lazy workers I can assure you that!

    Pregunta. Que tan tensada debe estar la cadena. (Cadena que se utiliza para mover la máquina hacia delante. Y atrás.

    It would be much more informant if there was some verbal sawmill points of interest included with the video. (i.e.) blade size, speed of cut, max size of cut, eyc.

    There appears to be an unusual amount of manual labor being performed in a sawmill that supposedly prides its self as being the mechanized production sawmill for others mills to envy and follow. It also appear that the labor force could be cut by 2/3rds if the tables were more efficiently arranged. It actually appears that many of the tables are non roller and the lumber has to be assisted in its travel by manual labor to spin the cut lumber to coincide with the direction that the lumber needs to travel in the culling and grading process. This being unnecessary labor and wasted money when all that is needed is to replace the non roller tables with roller efficient hydraulic directional tables. Once the new roller tables are in place, the cost would be offset in a reasonable period of time by the present salary paid to workers and the inefficiency of the manual labor now being employed.
    Food for thought : Could it be that this sawmill's owner, knowing that guest from other mills would be onsite to observe his mill's operation, so he had the line boss/foreman hire extra labor for that day, in order to make the operation look like it was financially and business wise, larger and doing better than it actually was, who knows ?

    It looks like there's far too many workers for the output of the sawmill

      There are 2 WM4000 sawmills on the site, a multi head resaw, and a high speed edger. There is plenty of wood to keep the workers busy when they're cutting at full speed

      Please realize that the crew had taken a lunch break and were only cutting for me to record. They work much faster when they're "on the clock"

      It is not open to the general public for small orders. However, if you need a lot of lumber, I'm sure they will sell it to you.

    Looks like an expensive setup

    • @thesawmillnetwork9197
      @thesawmillnetwork9197  6 років тому

      Well that depends on what you consider expensive. These sawmills quickly pay for themselves and then pay for themselves all over again time after time as they will operate without problems for decades if properly maintained.

    WTF are you guys doing who's the boss here Fire him first second Fire the guy that set this up Third hire 3 men who know how to saw and get her done the right way. I watch these demos and can't even laugh this is pitiful, you won't produce enough lumber to pay your expenses.
