Half of ANC ministers have their hands in Eskom. Of course they don't want to keep the prices low.

When the NHI gets implemented SA wont afford luxuries or employ future domestics or other freelance labour as VAT skyrockets everything goes up any gains we made lost. Eskoms true price hike could be 50-60% soon. With Cyril just signing laws. Eskoms only 1 issue more to follow.

Minister please tell them this is south Africa and not , overseas . Where is all the money going to. The tenders are making contractor's super rich , yet the service is very bad. Nersa just keeps granting them these increases as if they are working hand in hand. Fire and get competent people to do these jobs. Plus we pay vat on the purchase of electric unit's. South Africans got no relief from government during covid , yet municipalities cut light and block meter as well and turning peoples water of. Is that right , ask the President if he can live without light and water. Thank you sir for hearing our cries

Thank you DA for bringing this issue up. Electricity is killing everybody. How can we as citizens face 40% increases as our salaries is a 6& increase per year. Pensioners gets a 4% increase poor is getting poorer.
My electricity went up 100% i dont know how its possible and our area the meters are in eskom boxes so we cant varify it to be true. They laid new cables throughout but hasnt connected it yet. 12 months. Suppose to put meters in our hiuses. Its corruption through and through.
If Eskom increase electricity up to 40% the unemployment rate wil be 60%

In the city of Cape Town electricity is supplied in some areas by the DA and others directly by Eskom. DA charges 36% more than Eskom and a R260 service fee. DA are the last ones to talk about exploitation.
Electricity prices are set nationally by Eskom and NERSA , ( National Energy Regulator of SA) not the DA!!
Graping and pillaging is all they know.
