Being a sound and lighting technician myself I love enya music and for her to perform live would be hard as it'll be incredibly hard to get the same sound mix as in the studio ,she is such a peaceful person
Such a fantastic musician and singer, songwriter. Enya is a real nice lady but also a very committed worker to her music. So, it's nice that she's able to find time that she can come and give an interview now and then because obviously her music takes up quite a lot of her time and she is a fiercely private person.
I just hate interviewers asking the same questions over an over again after she finishes every album, we fans know her musical arrangements and style of layering voice and its difficult to perform live. Even if she's an introvert there's nothing wrong with that. I feel the interviewers annoy her as if they r searching for her flaws
Poor Enya having to spend practically all her career fending off questions about touring. I’d love if it she just said “no I won’t be touring” just to see the interviewers face. Personally I think that she is so beloved that it wouldn’t really matter whether her music ‘worked’ or not in a live setting she would just have the audience screaming their hearts out in total adoration. I mean can you imagine ‘Enya - Live’ it would be like witnessing an Angel amongst mortals.
🙄 They always ask her the same questions, nothing has changed for the past 30 years. 1.) are you shy/a recluse/an introvert? 2.) why do you live in a castle? 3.) why don't you tour? And she gives roughly the same answers - of course, what else is she supposed to do?
What are you supposed to ask someone you know nothing about who has made it her business to be unknown? Why didn't she ever get married? Well, she was afraid of someone being attracted to her because she was Enya. So, what did she do? Never let anyone near her to actually let them get to know her. Sheer fucking genius..... I'd have questions for her like "Considering your nonexistent sex life, which is tighter now, your vag or your anus?"
She seems a bit introverted and maybe slightly austisic. Being that myself I can relate. She dosen't want to talk about herself as a person only wanting to talk about her music. Probably what she is there for, but yeah people be curious...
I am autistic myself and that thought has crossed my mind. She seems rather shy but loves talking about music and hangs out with people she knows well.
no.i do not see her autistic. she is HSP. and she just doesn't want to mingle too much with others because humans are overwhelming and not always understanding precise emotions of others and caring. I totally relate to it because I m HSP too
Enya is not remotely autistic. I'm an Irish person and autistic myself. I'm from the same culture that she comes from. A lot of Irish people are quite reserved and shy, and Enya has said for many years that she is an introvert and enjoys lots of solitude. She's not remotely on the autistic spectrum. She is neurotypical. There's nothing wrong with being an introvert or being a quiet, neurotypical person!!
There wouldn’t be enough concert halls around to hold the fans if she toured! They would sell out so fast that half her fans would never get a chance to see her! Again another issue when it comes to a popular musician - ticket prices are outrageous to the point that only the rich can benefit!
There'd be plenty of empty seats. A live concert would be the disappointment of a lifetime. She did Orinoco Flow 'live' once, OVER the top of her own album song. You get that? She sang over the top of herself singing. The sound? Nothing like the album version, which is what we like about the music, because it IS the music.
Se suele decir de esta cantante que es timida...pero a mi me parece que no lo es tanto .. Prueba de ello ,enseña mucho su escote en sus vídeos musicales... Si yo fuese tímida no sería capaz de exponerme asi...😮😮😮😮😮
I wouldn't want to tour I was brought up by a Victorian they stayed where they were. I was bullied as a kid which I think was rigged by a rock band to make me crave fame. All it did was give me the self control to control a boat in front of the Queen's cousin. So now loads of rock bands wanted me and f1 and rallying. A rock band had a factory full of men bully me I survived then a massive fight broke out I'm the one who's had 7 nervous breakdowns 😢😢
Because she knows the answers are disappointing. Question "Why don't you tour?" Honest answer. "Because i sound like shit live. My studio tracks are 5+ different versions of me singing the same thing to get the sound on the album, that people love, and i can't recreate that sound live. A tour would be a BUDGET version of my music."
If you think she’s boring, you must be closed minded in a boring way yourself. Deeply disrespectful towards someone so deeply creatively interesting to create epic music.

Very gifted lady. Her work soothes me like little else can.
The special thing about introverts is that they can turn into wild extroverts when they're involved in something they're very passionate about.
Or maybe they’re not actual introverts.
there is a term who can describe a person that can be both
Absolutely yup!

I would have thought interrupting Enya mid-sentence would result in your beheading.
asking the same questions they have been asked forever...such a missed opportunity!!
Exactly. Always the same questions for the past 30 years. 🙄

Love you,
She never did tour though…

@@evanroberts2771 How was it LIVE if she was lip synching? That sounds so absolutely stupid.
@@jogordon1530 She was singing over the recorded track......
@@evanroberts2771 That does make sense. Why wouldn’t she just lip-sync instead?!
…and not forgetting the late, great co-presenter, Bill Turnbull.
Every interview she's done she says the exact same thing.
I noticed that, it's like she gives out the same question sheet to presenters.
