It’s crazy how I read a comment saying she a child, she shouldn’t go to jail for a long time. She killed her mother and try to kill her stepfather.

This case is still unclear of what was going on but it seems like the young girl has some serious mental issues and just didn’t like the way her mother was trying to parent her. Don’t get me wrong taking a life is never the right thing to do but you have to put yourself in Gypsy’s shoes sometimes it’s impossible to carry on with that trauma

Carly is guilty and was not insane!! Whoever has her dressing in these weird outfits is not helping her. Her eyes tell a lot and the outifits don't make her look young and innocent, more like an evil young girl in a horror movie.
the outfits end up highlighting her inappropriate, odd demeanor because of the contrast between the sickly sweet outfit choices & her obviously disturbed affect.

Her outfits? Why do people keep saying this? She’s not wearing petticoats and pigtails. They look like normal court appropriate clothes to me. Probably stuff from her own closet. Do you all think she’s going to wear jeans and a band tee? Or an evening gown? What should she be wearing?
Aside from strange comments on her clothes, I do think she comes across as a psychopath. Watching the video of her murder, her texting afterwards, she doesn’t seem psychotic at all.
I’m confused why her stepdad is going out of his way to support her, except he must truly believe she’s insane.

As somebody who was once married to a man who was Bipolar.. I believe that it is possible to be in mental distress while also fully aware of one’s actions.
Idk that could depend on alot of factors. Individuality, circumstances, syress levels, what kind of bipolar the person has & is it mixed with another mental illness, are they mixing there meds with street drugs, are they taking there meds period. So there are alot of factors involved. Im not defending this kid but others with bipolar.
It is alleged that she orchestrated the killings. It is common for individuals to commit certain acts and subsequently claim legal insanity.

Expert witness was mostly opinion. IMO, all of her actions before during and after indicate consciousness of guilt.

Objectively, I think she lost her mind when she saw her mom going through her room and because she had easy access to a loaded hand gun; we see the results. I think it is the parent's fault for not having the guns locked away and/or not loaded!! Most teens go baserk when you take things from them or go through their belongings. Unless they come up with evidence of her plotting to kill her parents previously, I can see how it can be conisdered temporarily insane.

I first thought she was a cold blooded murderer. She had just started taking a new psychiatric drug. There are cases of people having a psychiraric break from these drugs. I think this affected her and I want to know the side effects from the drugs she was prescribed.

My husband started a new Medicine for depression ,2 pills later he was suicidal and Homicidal. He had to be taken to a Hospital for evaluation. After his initial actions where I had to take him in to ER , he was calm, but crying a lot. These medicines are known to be very tricky for young ones . A young girl who is self harming is in a lot of mental pain & sounds like she also tried other substances. She was obviously very sensitive to her mothers stress & anxiety over the divorce & custody battle . How can this not effect a young girl. She is obviously mentally compromised. when watching the body cam footage, she is crying & obviously troubled , as reality is sinking in. 😢🙏

I think she's a very troubled and Ill child, and somehow my heart goes out to her. Again, I don't know why. Mental illness hits differently.

I know in my heart she is a cold blooded killer. I think the case was going great and should be sentenced to 94+ years. My problem is with the Judge, he started acting like an A$$hole. Someone's life is on trial, that is far more important then Jury time and pay. He rushed both sides. If you are a fair Judge you must act professional, give both sides a chance to follow the law no matter how long it takes. If it was himself on trial would he want his defense to rush or not bring up issues, right or wrong? No matter the verdict they will appeal and they will win because of this Judge.

Turn up the volume on the kitchen video. As she sits on the stool texting, you'll hear a faint "help me" from the bedroom (her dying mom)- that's when Carly suddenly sings loudly to try to cover it up, then she immediately gets up, grabs the gun, and heads back to the bedroom.
Nirvana was a band... Kurt Cobain (from Nirvana) was diagnosed with ADD and perhaps bipolar - but he took his own life 😉
