You have two of Japan’s top female rock/metal vocalists in one band (Hanabie); love the band. Then you get Mayu who is a true chameleon. I’m not even sure she is human (LOL). One women covering two great vocalists and instantly recognizable anywhere in the world. I love and respect Hanabie. This was a flawless cover. Thank you Mayu and Nemophila.

When I think Yukina is my favorite female vocalist of all time then I'm reminded that Mayu exists.

Many of Nemophila's covers are done as nods to bands they tour with or do two-man shows with. This one is from when they worked with Hanabie. My favourite Nemo cover is their version of Foo Fighters 'Walk'. Foos are Mayu's favourite band and she's a total Grohl fangirl. She even has a Dave Grohl model Epiphone that she sometimes plays at gigs.

Once again, the versatility of Mayu shines through.

On top of many fans Nemophila covers are 2 from Maximum the Hormone, Shimi and Zetsubou Billy as well as X-Japan’s Kurenai. I also love the 2 Loudness covers of Crazy Doctor and Crazy Nights and of course the 2 Maiden covers, Aces High and the Trooper. To see how brutal Nemophila can go though don’t miss the Banana Song.

PS- you asked for recommendations. I refreshed my memory with your playlist, if up to date. I will promote their current four piece formation with a request for A Beautiful Day, Progress is good, but not a video. They have reworked a number of former songs for the new formation. All of them are great, but Style is the most recent. For older songs try Adabana, Seize the Fate, AMA-TE-RAS, Change the World, Enigma, Zen, Now I Here, or covers like Kurenai.
Nemophila has been around for 5 years and have many fabulous songs that need to be promoted. Please don’t ignore the 30+ former songs as a five piece. Yes they had arguably one of Japan’s greatest female metal guitarists for nearly five years. I am personally hurting by her departure. She was always very kind to me on Social Media sites. However, neither Nemophila, nor Saki will suffer more than a small setback . In fact both are now successfully forging ahead. Hazuki is is doing just fine and growing (if possible) in the solo guitarist role. I wish them all the best. ❤️🌸

June 2023. Nemophila and Hanabie played a 2 man show in Nagoya and this is the song that Nemophila opened their set with. Hanabie first up were awesome playing their older songs with their new drummer Chika who stood out. Then during Nemophila's set Yukina joined Mayu singing Nemophila's ZEN. There was a typhoon blowing outside but that night there was lightning and thunder in Zepp Nagoya with our two favorite Screamo singers absolutely killing it. Nemophila's cover of Japan's greatest metal band "X-Japan's" song Kurenai is really good. Muratatam the drummer is awesome in this X Japan cover.
