Hey everyone, This was a longer game so I cut it down to be what I thought would be more viewer friendly. I hear you though and will continue with the full VODs so we can all watch and learn from MikaelS cooking! - Cued
No need to cut it down i think. I can skip if i want. I like the items on screen. Can you include what you sold as well? Can leave the nonsensical farming in. Like to see the decision making and pathing you chose. Can leave in the deaths and talk about what team is doing. Great vids appreciate the skill and uploads
I think this editing style works for a 40 minute game where the majority was a certified Seven PvE moment but definitely prefer the more unedited footage for standard matches.
(10:50) Shiv is stupid, but also MikealS didn't pick up any spirit armor at that moment. MikealS also started the fight with only a 5k soul difference, he ends the fight 10k soul diff for killing haze so his soul lead wasn't accurate to his item strength. Also I think he just misplayed terribly here, he shouldn't be dashing into shiv point blank. He defends walker here by throwing orbs and stunning close to his walker. I don't think he knew how pushed up they were coming off zipline.
I think everyone replying is missing what happened, shiv turned on return fire which did half of mikael's health since he does so much damage and has so little defense, then mikael got hit by some misc damage and some bleed stacks so he died.
@@happymangamingfun Good catch with the Return Fire, though we see on death recap that Shiv knives dealt 1700 while Return did 480. MikealS might've lived there if Shiv didn't have Return Fire, but it would've still been a misplay I think.
I think from an entertainment perspective, editing only the action clips is better. However, from an educational perspective it means we don't see rotations/see how he plays the map/etc. Something to consider depending on what direction you want the videos to go in
looks like I might be in the minority but I didn't like the editing - I like being able to watch the decision making surrounding where to go, what fights are good, when to farm, etc. I usually prefer only death timers cut out
The cuts for the Sinner's Sacrifice are nice, and I think removing death timer waiting (except when an action is made, like a purchase, or when he commentates on it) is good, but the rest of the jump cuts make it feel too disjointed. Moving around the map is not a useless/boring part of the game and the videos don't need to have that removed.
Hey @mikaelS, I have a question at 11:20 - You buy Divine Barrier instead of Debuff Reducer/Remover when fighting into an incredibly debuff heavy team (Mirage, Shiv, Infernus, M&K, + Wraith has slowing hex), why?
I was actually kind of a fan of the almost montage like farming style. The new editing was kinda fun but I like both so I’ll be happy regardless of what you decide to keep doing
Thats way better then watching 30 mins of fighting jungle. For people complaining about "decision making" it literally has this moments, he didnt cut out important moments and you can hear his thought process. I really thought "Finally, someone did the best hybrid content: full game but without boring parts". So i suggest you continue to do the same, Mikael!
About editing: the editor only cut out the creep killing time, which is extremely minor and doesn't affect any current action. As far as a viewer pays attention to the timer on the top and hero map position, they can trace his movement and decision making just as fine as without editing. I find this editing just right, it just might raise the attentiveness requirements of a viewer without taking their eyes off the screen. The editor might add some simple visual effects to emphasize the timer and map after each transition, but not too complex to avoid consuming additional editing time.
Hello @MikaelS. Usally a big fan of your vids (almost the only one I watch for Deadlock), but I dont quite like this edit. I preferred when there was all the pacing of the game. I m trying to learn, and to me it s not just about breaking boxes, or killing opponents. It s also about learning about what to prio and when, take better decisions... all that information is missing when cutting just for the action. I know some only enjoy the boom bam bim. And action-oriented people are usually vocal about what they like. So I wanted to share another, maybe quieter/ more boring preference. I only watched previous videos because there was the whole game with items description, you almost have no ego-trip, and you are fucking amazing at the game. Now I dont see the point. Flashing images of random crates or random fights. Looks like a Tiktok or Shorts put together over 20 min. First time I dont finish the video. Anyway, whatever you decide to do next, it was a blast to see you play (in previous vids :). I learned a lot and had much fun. Have a good day, and good luck with your journey with Deadlock and streaming. Bye,
Nice video but i like when i see the full game with only the respawning cut. I learn alot from these videos even if its just laning and rotating. Especially during the laning and rotating phases
usually someone will watch this video and create a build from it: "mikaelS seven youtube 10-15-24" or something like that you can search in builds in-game
Liking what editor did here. Cutting into just the last hit portion of killing side camps, cuts out lots of unnecessary down time. Another fun editing transitions I've appreciated in other moba content creators' editors is, transitioning into the next usage of the same ability if nothing of significance happened in-between. E.g in Seven's case, when he releases a Ball, it can be cut into the next Ball release if no fight happened...but the transition makes it so it looks like it was from the same Ball release.
So I will say this, the editing where you cut the clip shorter is fine IF he's just doing something braindead in that same spot, aka punching the slot machines or farming one camp. But, don't cut the parts where he moves from place A to place B, where he rotates, where he makes decisions. Those parts are important, and the whole reason I watch.
i enjoy the games, but this is too much editing. as someone here already said its nice to be able to see the decision making on which lane to go depending on whats going on in the game. the editing really takes away from that
Shame this video mimics UA-cam shorts in its editing style over proper long form content. I like to see mikaels brain cranking as the game goes. Does he farm the lane? What about the jungle? Does he walk past the urn? Does he clear the basement relics whenever rotating or only when there’s downtime? Can’t see it when cut… I very much appreciate cutting the death timer but not so much the farming.
Yeah, thats why you dont press ult on seven except finishing of low hp enemy or doing damage to stunned ones, cause its one of the worst ults in the game
@@zilliq-qz5uw nah, you would literally receive less damage if you just move cause enemies would hit less bullets compared to ult. When you ult as seven you lose ability to move, shoot and all you skills and even your dps goes down. Seven's 4 is more like a card that you pull out of your sleeve when you run out of bullets and skills to finish of low hp enemy rather than ability that you build you gameplay around. I mean we are literally talking about that under the video where top player didn't use it in ways different from what I described above

Full vods are cool, but it was edited well I think.

I like the farming cuts
it is way better this way
I actually love editing, if you want unedited gameplay just watch vod
Editor turned it into a farm montage 😂
Editor turned farming snoozefest into an ejoyable 20 min gameplay. Love it

What impressed me more is the shiv one shotting him with bleeds while being down 10k souls

Shiv is really broken atm and needs to be nerfed

Love the editing in this.

if you want to just analyze his gameplay just go to twitch or his replays or something.

Bump
Agreed
100%
Same. Feel like we watch him and other good players for this exact reason. Can watch anyone team fight really.
same here, I mainly watch to learn. it was a very entertaining video but I didn't learn much from it.
you inspire me to get better thank you man nice gameplay
This editing style fits yt way better, if ppl want educational they can just watch the twitch vods
i just realized today seven looks like a robot but when he ults , some skeletons in his body is visible. lore finna be real

Divine barrier is a good item overall and it gives all your abilities increased reach
Edit on the slots is cool.

I like how the camp farming was cut out for the most part.
I liked this type of video editing

Super boring gameplay. Not you but Seven gameplay is just lame, only farm and press utl then feed
