Stell said that “the ROOM” is a special place where he is the most comfortable… it’s a place where everyone can be themselves, accepted, and just be free
At first you are NOBODY, but you show them you are SOMEBODY, capture and ENTICE EVERYBODY, not just TALENT but PERSONALITY, conquering the ROOM, PROUDLY. BRINGING THE BEST IN YOU/US thats my theory of ROOM'S MV. THANKS FOR SUPPORTING STELL and SB19, GOD BLESS US ALL.
So, the majority of us were wrong to expect his 1st solo would be a ballad. Everyone was taken by surprise when he dropped this Moonlight meets I Want You song. For the nth time in an interview, he was asked why only now. He said that he has this fear of performing alone. It started during their training days when the other members resigned and he was left all alone. Stell said he wants to be with his groupmates always. Even with his upcoming US and Canada tours, he is already having separation anxiety. He said he's not used to travelling alone and performing solo. This time, Pablo forced him and composed this for him. Of course, Pablo still asked him what sound he would like and the message he wanted to be conveyed to his audience. And the result is simply amazing.
Filipinos may be considered tolerant, but not totally accepting. There are segments of society that are decidedly conservative; however, in general, people will suspend judgment and allow for individuality.
"That entire thing is a flirt." Yes, yes it is. In answer to your question, Jenny, what do I think of Stell's 'Room'? My answer is: yes, yes please and thank you. I love the song so much, it's funky; it's retro, but it's undeniably Stell. The song is sexy, but it's also confident, and I think, empowers the people that hear it. I don't know if that's just me. JD was saying, and I agree, about how progressive the MV was -- and I loved it so much for that! This debut showed everyone he is capable of as a soloist -- for those who were unaware of him from SB19, as well as those of us who are!
Stell’s Room is his safe space and where he can be more confident about himself over all. He shared this during his interviews. The ROOM sends messages that this is “Who I Am - Sexier, Bolder, Fiercer, Matured and very confident” The MV is all about acceptance and respect from each other no matter what gender. Self empowerment with respect towards others. Trusting and believing in yourself Thank you beautiful ladies ❤❤❤ By the way today June 16 is Stell’s birthday 😊😊😊
This MV shows off his enormous talent..his vocals..his dancing skills..and his total personality..He is the TOTAL PACKAGE... Stell attracts MANY CASUALS.. He is still our Sunshine Boy..simple, humble and so loving.
Yes, the inclusivity was intentional and timed for pride month. Many of SB19/1Z staff are part of the community. In his interviews, it was mentioned that the movie Burlesque was the inspiration. Justin and Xi-Anne were the creative Directors for the MV. It’s his dream to be in theater, he wanted to incorporate it.
Pablo wrote the song, produced with his brother josue, creative director justin and some inputs of ken and josh on post-edits.. plus there are parts of background vocals where you can hear pablo and ken.. they go solo but they still support and help each other as much as they can.. more solo RV's now?
I smiled when JD said Jenny will lock you in the room and Jenny said you can never leave, but it’s the other way around once you go into Stell’s room it you who can’t leave heheheh JD asked how the reaction of the video was hmmm a lot of berries cried hahaha most were super proud, the drag queen being there is no big deal, it’s accepted here. Oh and Pablo wrote the song and Justin is the creative director of the mv.
You will be blown away with Stell's live performance of ROOM on GMA All Out Sunday! You noticed a Filipino men being flamboyant, I would agree. Not just men but women as well, generally Filipinos just want to entertain, please and communicate to people. Opposite of mind your own business behavior.
11:10 I think just like any other country, there are some people with close minds. It's pride month and Stell shared that he did want to include a drag queen to show support ❤
Most of them from the glam team - hairstylists and make up artists I think are members of LGBTQ+ community. That's why Stell wanna thank them and included them in his music video. ❤
There is already a live performance of this, Stell performed it at All Out Sunday earlier today and he has also released a dance practice as well. Fun fact: Aside from writing this, Pablo with his brother Josue (together they are called Radkidz) produced this while Justin is one of the creative directors of this MV together with Xi-Anne. So they really fit the song and MV to Stell so well. Can't wait for you to see the other members' solo songs as each one of them gives a different flavor of their own. Also looking forward to more SB19 group reactions. Enjoying seeing you ladies go through this journey.
PH culture is more diverse than any other Asian countries. I would say partly because of the Western Influence (American particularly) due to colonization. Although, PH is the most Christian (Roman Catholic cause of Spain) amongst Asian countries, still is more open and diverse. But still predominantly, conservative. I hope that makes sense. 😊
It’s #1 in the Philippines right now from get go! They’re truly an awesome group. Their solos are awesome, too. And yes, they’re very progressive! That’s the reason they’re coined the pioneers of PPOP in the Philippines. They started this movement. They got slammed for it in the beginning and bashed and carried all the hate on their shoulders! But they beat them, all those haters! Look at them now! Awesome greatness! They made PPOP rise! Love them! 💙💙💙💙💙
The Philippines, compared to Western cultures, is still traditional, but is friendly, welcoming and inclusive. Vice Ganda (who is LGBTQ+) is arguably the biggest star in the Philippines. Recently, the Miss Universe Philippines pageant's opener was Marina Summers, an amazing drag queen.
Room is Stell..showcasing his talents now..though no body can please everyone🙁but who cares, A'tin love and support Stell🍓doubters and haters are no match, just envious overload!!🤩 Stell did great! I heard MJ and Bruno M in him🥰Sexy yet classy😍😉😊✌️🍓🍓
Fot context, Stell did not really announced that he is releasing his debut already. He pranked everyone that he auditioned for a musical play and got accepted. Him and Justin's idea. Tho he really would like to release something (a cover but not an actual single) on/before his birthday (June 16), it was Pablo who convinced him to finally do it. Pablo wrote this and him and his brother Josue produced and mastered the track. You will also hear Pablo and Ken doing the backing vocals. Justin is the creative director. The music really fits Stell, showcasing his vocals and dancing skills not to mention his acting skills too. It's giving #BrunoMarsXMichaelJackson He also included Tita Baby the Drag Queen in the MV as a tribute to LGBTQIA+ Community as they are not usually being exposed to mainstream media and also because we celebrate the Pride Month this June. 🏳️🌈🏳️🌈 The #Room is all about a place deep inside Stell where he feels most himself and the most confident. Like an alter ego. ♥️😳 Enjoy! ❤️
I'm a guy and I find him so hot especially in the MV Deep breathes deep breathes very 80s 90s MJ + Bruno Mars + theatrical not so belty, he didnt push his range he delivers with all of the techniques song + dance = Stell the girl is so pretty blame Jah for the MV People with no asthma will have asthma People without heart condition will have a heart attack Superior back up vocals from the boys Stell EP in August!!! You should also see the dance choreography practice. This is how it would like once he will perform live on stage but with the vocal combined with the dancing.
Thank you for your reaction ladies. I always love the points that you make and the questions that you pose. Just want to answer your question re Filipino culture. Majority of us are Catholics (due to Spanish occupation) and therefore can be perceived as conservative. However, our pre-colonial roots are progressive as evidenced by our language and norms. In Tagalog our pronouns/roles are gender neutral i.e. he/she is "sya", husband/wife is "asawa", brother/sister is "kapatid". In the workforce, men and women have equal pay, and power balance is also equal. Also the younger generation is more open to gender vs sexuality conversations. Our 2023 Ms Universe candidate came out as bisexual and faced no backlash so these are positive markers. Though there's still a long way to go since LGBTQ++ rights bill has not yet been signed into law.
june 16 is Stell's bday..he had an interview before the mv dropped he annouced that he will be releasing his solo EP on august 2024 under WarnercMusic Philippines...Justin is one of the creative directors in this debut song❤
Here in the Philippines, gay(lgbtq/drag) people are already prominent and they got a huge presence in the mainstream media eversince. In short, we're used to seeing them so there's no issue there. Of course there would still be homophobic here and there but I think a lot of us are more accepting. Maybe, also because a bunch in the pride community is respectful as well to our preferences and they don't shove their sexuality into our faces unlike what's happening in, let's say, in the US. Mutual respect is a huge factor. It's a brave move on part of Stell tho because it's actually the first time a male idol boldly includes them on the MV. But, it's SB19. They are very much inclusive. This MV showcased that the aura and charm of Stell transcends all gender. If he's in the ROOM, everyone will be captivated on his presence. That's basically the MV in a nutshell.
Stell is represented in Room, Pablo did write it based on his persona, which is how charming, kind, and friendly with everyone he meets. Just about everybody has said he’s one of the best people ever. The humor in there is Stell’s and magnified by Justin’s creative direction. I think you missed that in the credits. Dance practice next? You won’t regret it. And do go for their debuts.
As a filipino, this was actually the first time that i saw a music video that features drag queens, and it didn't disappoint. The mv itself is very clever, sassy, sexy, enticing, sweaty and hot. As expected a lot of Stellberries gets jealous to stell's female partner😂😂😂😂. It was really funny, seeing their comments about leaving the farm (Stell's house) and go to other houses like freezer ( Pablo's house because his fans was called hotdog), Cornfield ( Justin's house because of his corny jokes ), manukan or poultry ( Ken's house because he likes chicken or chicks or in tagalog is sisiw) and ihawan ( Josh's house because he likes BBQ ). A'tins, SB19's fandom, is really funny and very supportive. For me, Stell's solo shows that he magic showman❤❤❤❤❤.
Culturally, the Philippines is psychotic. The people are progressive but conservative at the same time. It's hard to explain... we're tolerant, but at the same time, we're not. It's a puzzle
You both have to see the Dance rehearsal for this song with full choreography. Pablo is the composer of this song and Justin was in charge with the creative production.
Thanks for this reaction, Stell is always oozing with sex appeal and yes he's always naughty 🤩 btw, there's also a dance practice of this where Stell really showcased his dancing/choreography skills , hope you can react to it too😊
we are a Catholic country but we are not that close minded to things. it's not wholeheartedly accepted but many accept it as part of life. it's like conservative with a splash of open-mindedness.
Hi! In general we are conservative but we are also welcoming to other communities like lgbtqa+ And btw jenny mentioned jd love jazz. Stell will release his solo ep on august✨ We might get a jazz song🤞 since in a recent interview after the release of this song he mentioned he listens to a lot of jazz lately Thank you for supporting stell/sb19
Philippines has a lot of LGBTQI+ people but it's a very conservative country last time I checked (it's a Catholic country) - but I've also not lived there since 2000 so it might have changed drastically now, but I do know that gay marriage is still not a thing, and there are still people that aren't going to be open minded about LGBT but the boys have always been supportive of everyone no matter your identity is. I think now that they have their own company they can be even more open about their LGBT support coz no one can dictate what they do in public anymore.
I think it is time to react to the first solo performances of the members. Each of the solo endeavors manifest their unique personalities. Pablo's La Luna Josh's Wild Tonight Ken's Palayo Justin's Surreal Thanks for your reaction.
I'm glad that you noticed the LGBT nods in the video, because while none of the boys have declared any relations to the community, you can always see it in their allied actions and I love them for that. Stell also knew that it would be Pride month when the video came out therefor inviting the drag queen, Tita Baby. And a bit of a personal essay of why I love them so much with how they present themselves, in contrast to the country's history (which in hindsight is the bare minimum of progressive thinking in today's times). I've seen some other fellow Filipino accounts in the comment section about this so I'll quickly clarify: The Philippines fell under colonization many times, bringing in most of its more popular religions today. But before then, the country was a tribal sort, and if you ever get to Ken / Felip's song "Bulan", you'll see a taste of it (Especially because in Philippine Mythology, genderfluid and/or nonbinary gods were common, and even same-sex relationships between the gods were celebrated as well) But all of this is to say, I love that the boys have been either celebrating their own self-expression or Filipino culture so far. Of course that doesn't mean that their religious beliefs don't matter and if they ever choose to create religious songs, I'm all for it as well. It's just that I love that their outfits and music are so non-binary or campy, it's very comforting to see people who look like me, speak like me, and also express themselves like me despite everything they've been thrown (that press conference. oof. never forget.) I love Pablo's skirts just as much as I love his motorcycle fits. I love Stell's form-fitting fits just as much his bright energy. I love Josh's mullets and constant need to be topless (lmao) just as much as his baggy comfy fits. I love Ken's rockstar fits just as much his derpy laughs. I love Justin's flower and nature aesthetic just as much as his mysterious side. Whatever these boys do next, I can only hope that it continues to give people around the world this same feeling as well. And I love that you've acknowledged it. P.S. I don't know if you'll catch it, but Pablo and Ken actually sung a bit of backup in this song! They tend to do that a lot with each other's singles and it's very heartwarming when you catch it. (wink wink nudge nudge Felip's Bulan will have a very familiar voice in the beginning)
Also, please feel free to ask for any advice on how to listen to the singles! I know I definitely needed it when I first started out because I was semi-late to the party as well.
there's a live performance of this already! it was on live telecast earlier today from a Sunday variety show All Out Sundays. so satisfying to watch he was amazing, the dancers were amazing, it was jaw dropping as was he 🤭. please do check it out when you can. oh how i miss your other lovely friend. toodles!
Finally been waiting for your channel to do the RV for Room. I always enjoy the way you guys react and interpret their music and MV. As a Stell 🍓 it's not the genre I thought he will be releasing for his Solo, but hey not surprised at all like I said it's very Stell 🍓. I love the MV and the song since it was released I was listening to it non stop hahaha. It suits him perfectly the way his voice and dances. SB19 💙 Stell 🍓.
Philippines is still conservative but slowly adjusting or readjusting to fit our traditional belief to the changes in our society. He did the live earlier in All Out Sundays this noon (June 17 '24 noon here in Phils.)
The dance video is great please check it out, regarding the progressive ideas its complicated the Philippines is very catholic but at the same time the country has a very famous very openly gay celebrities, i would say its kind of similar to western sensibilities
Try to react on the launch of this debut single for you to know the meaning behind the MV and his live performance in AOS at GMA7 to know the meaning of Room in the song. Today is Stell's birthday. There's also the video on the dance practice👍👌😊
There's already a live performance of this at a noon time show today, I hope someone can post a link here, so I could also watch your reaction for that 😊
Please watch the first solo single of other members too. Ken/Felip - 'PALAYO' MV Pablo- 'LA LUNA' MV JOSH- 'WILD TONIGHT' MV JUSTIN- 'SURREAL' MV PS: Stell is the last one to make his first solo debut which is 'ROOM'
If you noticed, the PPOP BGs are more masculine and manly than KPOP BGs where male idols are made to look more androgynous. Filipino men are more inclined to have a strong sense of masculine pride (machismo/macho) and assertiveness. Filipino women are expected to be more caring and nurturing but not weak and delicate (Women who are "pabebe" -- closest Filipino iteration of "aegyo" or "kawaii" -- are frowned upon and considered immature). That being said, Philippine society is more accepting of individuals who do not categorise themselves as either masculine or feminine, most especially of those in creative industries (entertainment, fashion, the arts, etc.), compared to their East Asian counterparts. Filipino society have been inclusive of gays, lesbians, etc. way before the acronym for the community was ever invented. People are generally accepting and understanding of individuality, uniqueness, and personalities and are just less focused on sexual orientation.
Thank you for this RV ladies, for appreciating Stell’s voice, talent, humor and versatility. He will be dropping his EP this August. Looking forward to more RV’s of Stell and Sb19 on your channel. God bless 🙏
The acceptance of homosexuality in the Philippines is a bit complicated. On one hand, the Philippine society is very accepting (even loving) of gay people. This is rooted from precolonial Philippine societies that are maternal and give as much power to females as males. Same-sex love stories even exist in ancient Philippine lores, one of which is connected to the story of Bulan (a theme of one of Felip's solos). Drag has been a thing in the Philippines long before drag shows became popular in clubs, in the form of gay pageants in even the most remote villages. Though there are certain stereotypes associated with being traditionally gay in the Philippines, the gay people are definitely not in the fringes of communities. On the other hand, the Philippine law does not recognise same sex partnerships, nor legally acknowledges the LGBTQ+ community as a minority that needs support. This is because, despite the separation of church and state, the Roman Catholic Church remains a powerful institution in the Philippines, a product of 333 years of colonisation by Spain. About 79% of Filipinos are Catholic. This power essentially dictates what can be formally accepted in society, including in law.
It's kind of sad how we say it's because of catholicism that's preventing the laws, when we already have Catholic-predominant countries like Argentina and Brazil where same sex marriages are legal. Hopefully, the recent bill to allow divorce is a stepping stone to get the Philippines' LGBT+ laws more in line with how the masses reflect its views on equal rights.
@@terriblemaintenance9364 You do have a point. I'm stating it as if it's a foregone conclusion but not giving unequivocal evidence. I'd be interested to know why until now there is no formal acknowledgement of the LGBT in PH law, why the anti-discrimination bill that was first filed in 2000 and refiled several times has not passed, why same-sex couples are not allowed adoption, why until now there is no same-sex civil union bill. This, despite having a society that openly accepts gay people.
new here, army here also🤭, thanks for the reactions, stell is so good, he ate this mv song🙌😭✨✨, tho did not expct this kind of song, but he so good😭😭😭, i will root this guy 🙌👏,

The actual goal of SB19 is really to break the norm in terms of sound and music in the industry. The SB in SB19 literally means SOUND BREAK.
At first you are NOBODY,

not just TALENT but PERSONALITY,
conquering the ROOM, PROUDLY.
BRINGING THE BEST IN YOU/US

pablo composed and produced the song, justin is the creative director
Awesome! Pablo is very loving and caring to them. He's also one of the best songwriters in the world. ❤ 🍓
Very supportive ang mga brother ni Stell , in other way talented talaga sila lahat SB19❤😊

He said it's not literally a room. It's a "space" where he is very comfortable & confident in...
7:54 The concept is they doubted him at first but when he started performing, EVERYONE is captivated. 🤍
...and "Stellbound"!
"That entire thing is a flirt." Yes, yes it is. In answer to your question, Jenny, what do I think of Stell's 'Room'? My answer is: yes, yes please and thank you. Stell’s Room is his safe space and where he can be more confident about himself over all. He shared this during his interviews.
The ROOM sends messages that this is “Who I Am - Sexier, Bolder, Fiercer, Matured and very confident”

Theres a live performance of room on All out sunday. Thankyou for reacting. Very much appreciated.❤

Thank you for supporting our SB19 Stell😊
Please check all their debut solo
Felip - Palayo
Josh - wild Tonight

Stell's performance makes Pablo blush. Pablo and Ken are the most conservative.
LGBTQ+ is highly accepted in the Phils.. we love and appreciate everybody ❤🥰
That room is within him,, his inner self
Stell's got me totally gobsmacked with this one!!!😂
Culturally, the Philippines is psychotic. The people are progressive but conservative at the same time. It's hard to explain... we're tolerant, but at the same time, we're not. It's a puzzle
Not psychotic but more of bipolar! lol
Dance practice out now and it was amazing❤
You both have to see the Dance rehearsal for this song with full choreography. Pablo is the composer of this song and Justin was in charge with the creative production.
Thanks for this reaction, Stell is always oozing with sex appeal and yes he's always naughty 🤩 btw, there's also a dance practice of this where Stell really showcased his dancing/choreography skills , hope you can react to it too😊
ATIN always support whoever reacts to their videos of Sb19❤❤❤
we are a Catholic country but we are not that close minded to things. it's not wholeheartedly accepted but many accept it as part of life. it's like conservative with a splash of open-mindedness.
Hi! In general we are conservative but we are also welcoming to other communities like lgbtqa+
And btw jenny mentioned jd love jazz. Stell will release his solo ep on august✨
We might get a jazz song🤞 since in a recent interview after the release of this song he mentioned he listens to a lot of jazz lately
Thank you for supporting stell/sb19
Pablo's La Luna
Josh's Wild Tonight
Ken's Palayo
Justin's Surreal
Thanks for your reaction.
Happy Birthday Stell!! 🍓🍓🍓🍓
Yes, please do a performance video, as well as the dance practice, it’s sooo good!
Thanks ladies for supporting our boys our ppop king 👑❤❤❤
But before then, the country was a tribal sort, and if you ever get to Ken / Felip's song "Bulan", you'll see a taste of it (Especially because in Philippine Mythology, genderfluid and/or nonbinary gods were common, and even same-sex relationships between the gods were celebrated as well)
But all of this is to say, I love that the boys have been either celebrating their own self-expression or Filipino culture so far. Of course that doesn't mean that their religious beliefs don't matter and if they ever choose to create religious songs, I'm all for it as well. It's just that I love that their outfits and music are so non-binary or campy, it's very comforting to see people who look like me, speak like me, and also express themselves like me despite everything they've been thrown (that press conference. oof. never forget.)
I love Pablo's skirts just as much as I love his motorcycle fits.
Stell performs it so well that we definitely not leaving his Room. 🍓💙
there's a live performance of this already! it was on live telecast earlier today from a Sunday variety show All Out Sundays. so satisfying to watch he was amazing, the dancers were amazing, it was jaw dropping as was he 🤭. please do check it out when you can. oh how i miss your other lovely friend.
Pablo and Justin are the conservative members.
😂and I did not expect them both for this, composer and mv creative director
Indeed, and the culprit for this song (lyrics and MV).. 😂
I'm here for Stell.
Thank you so much for your love for our sunshine boy. ☺️❤️🫶
Drag is a big thing in the Philippines. Love that the video is very inclusive.
Happy birthday Stell 🥰, soooo proud of you 🥰🍓
In general Filipinos are very inclusive, it's the other institution that's close minded...

I’m still in the room!
Watch out for Stell's EP this August.
Thank you for this RV ladies, for appreciating Stell’s voice, talent, humor and versatility. He will be dropping his EP this August. Looking forward to more RV’s of Stell and Sb19 on your channel. God bless 🙏
Yes you are right, Stell is the naughtiest and the flirtiest among the boys 😅
I Feel you guys😅😊you gotta check the Dance practice! It's amazing😊and the live performance in AOS! It's awesome! New subs here from Switzerland ❤
Great video ladies. That’s a very sexy one. Nowadays, the Philippines is becoming liberated. It’s the new generation… ❤
Omg waiting for your reaction for this
