The Broncos are last on this too...
there was no team called the Commanders in 1966. if we’re using new names of franchises, then the Oilers should be listed as the Titans here.
@@Zack29810 but also keep in mind though that "Oilers" sounds way cooler
Real football only
Cowboys scored 62 in the Super bowl
Why didnt you include the time I dropped 91 with the Patriots against the Dolphins in the summer of 2020 on madden
One time after Bama blew out LSU in the mid 2010s, I woke up the next morning to find my dad laying 80 points on Bama in NCAA14😂😂
@@huntertrum3658I did that when y’all beat us in 2019 😂
Change it off of rookie mode
lol💀
Madden sucks!
Crazy to think that Miami didn’t need a defensive touchdown or a kick / punt return to score 70. Absolutely Incredible.
Yeah I agree. I don’t know if this is true but I think that is the first time an NFL team has ever scored 10 offensive TDs in a game because I looked at the other 3 teams that have scored 70 points in a game but at least one TD that each of those teams scored came from either the defense or special teams.
@@cooperwolfe5478The Dolphins definitely broke some records on Sunday. Also crazy to think that Wilson played well but lost by 50 points.
Wow I didnt even think about that... good point. 10 offensive touchdowns!
i mean any other team would have slowed it down when you have a huge lead. A little bit of sportsmanship.
They scored all those points and still didn't get the yardage record
As a Browns fan, seeing them beat the Steelers week 1 in 1989 51-0 let alone IN Pittsburgh is something that shouldn't be real. It defies all logic.
Just like the playoff game
@@prestinhurshberry8417Baltimore didn't do anything besides have the highest murder capital in the US. POS city.
@@prestinhurshberry8417yes, they did. The browns kept all of the teams stats, franchise history, colors, name, etc. When art took the team to Baltimore. The only thing that went to Baltimore were the players
@prestinhurshberry8417 the browns were only gone for 2 or 3 seasons. After the owner packed them up and moved them to Baltimore. The city wouldn't let them take the accolades the browns name accomplished.
and the steelers returned the favor 43-0 in the browns 1st game back 10 years later. lol
I think the least surprising part of this video is the fact that the Packers highest scoring game involved Rodgers and the Bears... But the fact that the Bears highest scoring game was against the Packers was a fun twist.
For people saying its unsportsmanlike to score this much, the Dolphins ran the ball the rest of the end of the game. after the throw from mike white (the dolphins backup qb). the dolphins ran the ball to run out the clock. but the broncos still couldnt tackle, so our supposed to be little runs turned into 50 chunk gains. its not the dolphins fault the broncos wasnt tackling.
What I don't understand either is the Dolphins won by 50 whereas other games ended in a greater margin. So what's the mercy rule? Should the Chiefs vs Rams 2018 game ended after 3 quarters? Is it margin or points scored? How big of margin or how high of points? & is it 1 team or both? So many questions lol 😂😂
@@EricStuder89 Exactly, there is no mercy rule. Usually if a team has a good 4 touchdown lead they will take their foot off the gas just a little. and thats what the dolphins did. broncos just could handle the dolphins even when our foot was off the gas. The only mercy was not kicking the field goal at the end for the scoring record lmaoo
I'm not a fan for both team but I not really condone the way Dolphins done to the Broncos. Sure Broncos D play like college football but there a plenty way to not stepping on downed opponent. But don't worry I'm pretty sure karma gonna bite Dolphins ass at the critical games. Might not be this season but it will come.
so what, they didnt have the best game in the NFL history like washington beating the giants 72-41. you know, the highest scoring game ever. can the dolphins say they won a game like that? nope
*Fun fact:* The Jaguars single-highest game total also happened in Dan Marino’s last game ever played
and Jimmy Johnson's last game he coached
Oh that's right
Ray Finkle's mom felt sorry for Dan Marino on that day.
Jimmy Johnson was not good for Dan
Bro i see you everywhere
Not only were the Falcons obliterated multiple times on this list, but they also had a QB named Dick Shiner 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Not ‘modern era’, but The Bears high is actually 73, making it the most points ever in a game. And doing it in a title game was insane.
While shutting out their opponent and being told they had to stop kicking extra points and field goals cuz they were running out of footballs.
That wasn’t a regular season game, right?
It was against Washington for the NFL Championship. Bears won 73-0@@billyskittles1036
yeah in 1940.... before superbowls. washington had a game with 72 points against 41 with the giants. thats the highest scoring game ever and washington won that game
As a falcon fan you learn: existence is pain
try a bears fan😭
Tom Brady with two 59 point games is insane
Yeah he's the 🐐 59 to 0 shutout against Tennessee too 59 on Andrew Lucks team
If the Patriots didn’t step their foot off the gas against Tennessee, they were getting 70 points easy
@@Ibelikemj fr
@@michael7054Brady Is All Time🐐 Favorite Player And Yours As Well.
@@Ibelikemj Honestly they might have gotten 80 if they had kept playing hard
90’s Falcons taking crazy L’s in a bunch of teams highest scoring games
They had no defense to speak of for several seasons. They had Deion, Jessie Tuggle and not much else.
Can we just appreciate that pass by Michael Vick to DeSean Jackson? He threw it near the goaline and it went around to Washington’s 40, and he almost OVERTHREW it. I’ve hardly seen anyone make a throw like that since. Insane arm talent
Yeah that throw immediately stood out first time watching here. Had to watch again because of the ease in which he threw it. Dude just casually dropped a 60 yard dime and made it look effortless, or routine.
Edit: Both highlights of him throwing it was 60+ yards. Forgot about that dime to desean. Man Vick had an arm.
He wasn't necessarily the most accurate passer, but he had one of the most powerful arms in the history of the league
I saw a Powerade commercial when I was a kid where some kid filmed Vick throwing it into the stands, I thought it was fake but now I’m not sure
I honestly think he might have had the best deep ball ever.
The man’s arm strength despite his seemingly average frame was CRAAAZY
Im sure some of these receivers had hurt fingers from tryna catch his passes lmao
I watched that Patriots game in 2009 and they could easily have set the record that day. The Titans had nothing. Pulling Brady midway through the third quarter was probably the most mercy I've ever seen from Belichick.
it's crazy to me because that game was featured as the marquee matchup of that week. meaning that it was expected to be the best game of the week excluding primetime games such as tnf, snf, and mnf
The billechek way was to pull the starters though
That cardinals packers game will probably go down as top 3 cardinals games in history. Absolutely insane game I remember watching that game live with my grandfather and I remember seeing him hoot and holler probably just as much as the Super Bowl.
Packers had 2 games where they scored 55. The one not listed was a 55-7 win over Tennessee on 12/23/2012
There are so many games left off here it’s unbelievable
They wanted to show mercy. The titans/oilers are on here plenty of times
Broncos fans 2:14, "those were the glory days"
Just me, or were the Falcons on the wrong side of a disproportionate number of these games?
I rememeber that Houston game where we dropped 57 on the titans. The only highlight of what was a terrible season for us.
Edit: Not to be that guy, but it wasn't 52-10. It was 52-20.
2017 texans could've been something with Watson for the full season :( but he showed his capability in 2018 and 19 for y'all
@@vikramarora6434tbh Watson wasn’t ready for playoffs at all mind set was celebrating while losing to the colts
@@ghoste94 That game sucked. He did well in the bills & chiefs games even with that 24-0 lead evaporating in 10 minutes.
@@HTJason_S12 idk man I felt if Watson really wanted to win he would’ve argued with bill to keep the pedal going but that’s just my take I’ve seen qbs call their own plays. Bills game he did well enough to hold the lead but no matter what I will always say Watson choked while having Hopkins as his wr and had a decent defense. The same way we shitted on shaub is the same way I’ll shit on Watson.
Yea that 51-0 makes me understand why we beat up on the browns every year , that was beyond embarrassing 😭💯
Video suggestion... Highest scoring games by season in the modern era.
Good suggestion.
I remember The Bucs 55 win over the Rams, that was a good birthday. Both the Bucs & Seahawks won.
The Saints putting 62 on the Colts was the first time I seen an NFL team ever make it pass 59 points
The Bengals when the Houston Oilers exist: "So you have chosen death"
Later in the season where the Browns beat the Steelers 51-0, the Steelers beat the Browns with a back up QB, made the playoffs, and beat the Oilers in the Wild Card.
Always nice to see throwback post a video
I know it wasn’t the highest points they scored, but the 49ers put up 55 on the Broncos in Super Bowl XXIV just 1:13 into the 4th quarter. If they really wanted to, they could’ve put up 70. But George Seifert’s like, “yeah let’s take our foot off the gas pedal. We don’t want to humiliate them more worse than it already was.” I’m sure that’s what he was saying, and I’m sure that Mike McDaniel was saying the same thing to his team when they were also lighting up the Broncos this past Sunday.
I love this channel ❤
From what year is modern era?
We live in Denver and wow! 70 points, they’re still talking about that crazy score here on the sports radio channel!
Kinda crazy that both times Chiefs scored 56 didn’t include a game with Patrick Mahomes.
Damn, the Oilers/ Titans were on the wrong end of alot of these blowouts. 😅😅
Bengals twice to score 61 points against the same team, the Oilers. Wow.
I was at the game when the Bengals beat the Oilers 61 - 7 in 1989. I got free tickets from a season ticket holder because of the weather, it was like 10°.
A surprising number of the teams on the wrong ends of these blowouts made the playoffs.
It's wild seeing the background in that Colts game @9:58 . Can't really see many bleachers. It's all trees. Like these dudes were playing in a park at a family reunion 🤣🤣. So cool to see that though.
At 20:20 it says Miami 726 yards is 2nd most in history but when I Google this to see who is first it says the 2023 Miami Dolphins with 726 yards so wassup wit it
I predict the records going to be beaten this year!
By who? Vs who?
@@bluescale8626 cowboys will break it against hmmm rams maybe
@Lightninboltyf if they could only put 16 against the cardinals I highly doubt it..maybe they should've tried to break the record week 1 when they dropped 40 on the Giants.
@@bluescale8626 it was an off day for them and they had just lost diggs
TEN turnovers in that Cowboys game?? They should have had 100 points
0:15 Hard work pays off. Dreams come true. Bad times don't last. But BAD GUYS do!
@@prestinhurshberry8417Did you see it?
Anyone notice how the videotape clips of the 90’s seem sharper than the digital images from more recent years?
Redskins actually have 72 points. But I guess it isn’t modern enough lol
3:15 side note: the panthers still haven’t recovered from this game
Nice to see the history of Atlanta's defense always being trash 🙃
big asterisk on the all time list, miami took out their starters early in the 4th, and had 70 with several minutes left. they had to kneel to avoid breaking the record, and could've easily scored 80+ if they wanted to.
Patriots pulled their starters at the half after scoring 59. Chiefs (in the same week the Dolphins scored 70 pulling their starters early in the fourth) scored 42 and pulled their starters at the half.
If the Patriots don't pull their starters, they score 100
Grass fields make me nostalgic.
Broncos country, let's die
My grandpa Dave hampton was the running for the falcons . I need to call him
Awesome video
That Eagles Monday Night Massacre against the Redskins was amazing. They would have scored 70 points with ease if Andy Reid didn't take the foot off the gas in the second half
On xbox 360 i scorred 140 something with the seattle sea hawks, it was amazing and i wish i still had the picture
I don't remember who I was playing either
I can’t believe the Chicago Bears are so damn good they beat every team on this list
Wow, I wish I could've been alive to watch the Steelers lose 51-0 at home. 🤣
Video already needs an update with that Raiders win last week.
This is the first time I am proud to be a Dolphins fan
90’s falcons teams appearing multiple times is crazy don’t realize they were that bad in the 90’s
49ers 2nd highest score - 55-10 against Denver in Super Bowl XXIV
Washington Redskins hold the most points against the Bears in 1940 with 73 points. Also hold the biggest shutout in the same year against the Giants 72-0
Not on modern era thi
I love of most of these games was shootouts, and then you have the dolphins 😂😂, just shows how dominant it was
Can’t believe we hit a 50 point game. Sadly that was our only one
Man, NFL Throwback just keeps dunking on the Broncos.
Funny how the dolphins inspired this video but they were the victims of beat downs a bunch of times in this 😂
Pats could have scored 100 that game if they wanted. One day I will get my wish of seeing a team score like that and just keep their foot on the gas all game. I want to see what is possible.
The 1966 Steelers put 57 on Atlanta.
63 is the Steelers All Time most
Always great to see NFL throwback show more amazing videos.
The Bears scored 73 against the Redskins. How do you forget a Championship Game?
Modern era
@@michael7054Bear 🐻 Down
Gonna have to update this after tonight's Raiders game.
Man some of these hurt
Sean Payton involved in both top 2 😂
Week 10, 2014 was the first time I watched Aaron Rodgers
17:30 the exsistance of this name is the only thing I came out of this video caring about.
The Patriots have surrendered 50+ points only one time in franchise history, and that was to the undefeated 1972 Dolphins.
The Patriots have not allowed an opponent to score more than 42 points in 30 years.
The most significant thing in Washington's 56-17 win was that a future HOF quarterback would make his regular season debut in this game. That would be Brett Farve, he played very badly. Hence why he was traded to the Packers.
One reason Favre was so entertaining to watch when he first started for Green Bay was because you absolutely never knew what would happen.
When did the "modern era" start?
1970. Official merger of the AFL and NFL.
10:18 oilers/titans
I put 115 on my friends head with the Minnesota Vikings in a connected franchise
Get it right! On November 27th, 1966 the Redskins demolish New York 72-41. Former Giants, Sam Huff intercepts a pass with 20 seconds left to set his team up with a field goal.
As part Cherokee I find it ridiculous that they changed their name because a bunch of self hating peoples threw a fit!
Your research is erroneous. 1966 season was the modern era by definition as SB I was played at the conclusion of that season, thus you have failed to include the Redskins’ 72-41 victory.
7:25-7:30 “rice is going to go in unmolested for the touchdown!” Yikes
I so miss the patriots of old. 😢
Redskins scored 72 on the Giants, 1966
If you say modern should a definitely used a Nashville Tennessee team, not Oilers. IMO.
As a Cheesehead, I really miss Jordy.
I see most of these games had defensive touchdowns
The Baltimore Colts are NOT the Indy Colts! One is an all-time great franchise, and the other is Indianapolis.
Damn y’all really only made this video cuz of the broncos …..yall ain’t even right 😂😂😂😂
1966 isn't the modern era? Because the two leagues had not yet merged, though that is the year they agreed to the merger? Seems to me like "modern era" should date at least back to the establishment of the AFL in 1960.
I FEEL NOTHING BUT......PAIN!!!
Who's gonna tell'em that the "Modern Era" of the NFL is about 1995 now a days!
Falcons was a victim so many times😂😂😂
2011 Saints the greatest team ever assembled
I miss steve smith. Also I love how Aaron Rogers has the highest scoring game against the bears 😂
Nah 70 with 8 min left in the game, miami couldve easily put up 1 or 2 more to make a probably unbeatable record
It warms my heart that the chiefs Highest scoring game is against the Raiders.
College football: 70+ point games every week
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
As of December 2023, the raiders new record is 63
Ive never seen the Bears score 28 points and Im 40.
Why post the actual highest scores in the comments but make the video only after 1967?
I would of never thought the bears number 1
dolphins dropped 70 gotta put out a video of everytime teams highest score. something thats been done a million times already. oh wait he put "modern era" it must be different right. lmao god i hate youtubers.
Why not include the actual record of 72 at the end? Was it because it was the Redskins?
Well this already needs to be updated with the Raiders putting up 63 on the Chargers
Exactly! 👍
