- I started playing hockey at around five years old. I played in organized leagues until I was around 17 and then stopped. But I always loved hockey and now that I have my own pond I am planning on getting back into the hockey groove. I will post updates! Please click the subscribe button!
Wow...I can't believe I went from enjoying seeing Tom play pranks on his friends and family in my late teens/early 20's, to enjoying seeing Tom relaxing, playing pond hockey. It's amazing what time can do to mellow out a fellow.
Was just thinking the same. Had to look up how old he is. 50. Same age as I'll be in less than 2 weeks. Nobody on TV made me laugh harder than Tom. That episode on the cruise ship doing bad standup comedy still makes me laugh til i cant breathe. Good for him finding a nice peaceful place. Looking to do the same in 4 years. God bless the dude.
He probably played hockey back then as well. I imagine hes always had more to his life than just pranking people 24/7
Yup how time flies and things change. Feels like yesterday we didn’t talk about fight club…. Now I have two little kids and we don’t talk about Bruno lol. (For the Bruno reference you’d have to see Encanto, FYI)

Have you seen him making his “Good friends, good times Dip”?? (I think that’s what he called it, I may be wrong!) Was some crazy big bowl of dip for crisps that had a ton of ingredients… that was fun!
I would never have figured the highlight of my day would be watching Tom Green destroy a hockey net with slap shots on a frozen pond, but here we are.
You can't really predict when an aging celebrity is going to do something that amuses you.

Tom, you forgot to wear your hockey gloves and sweater!! Ottawa Senators, Toronto Maple Leafs, Montreal Canadiens, or other??? What is Tom Green's favourite hockey team? Or maybe an old jersey from your minor hockey days from your Mom's house, saved in the attic??? Also, you can use an neon orange road hockey ball for Charley to play on the ice, or foam hockey pucks too. Build your own hockey net out of scrap lumber and potato sacks like a true Canadian boy from the past. Explain to world the wooden hockey stick versus the new plastic stick known as a twig.
That plastic hockey net was made in China, your composite hockey stick was probably made in Vietnam, and the rubber puck was made in Canada, and so when the net exploded from your overpowering shot, that was really a multicultural goal tie breaker and not a purely Canadian event. More drone videos please, hockey pond from a drone would be cool. Hockey balances the frozen mind with a hot heart in order to keep your feet warm by pumping extra blood into cold toes. Tom Green shoots comedy and he scores every time that he hits the net with his slapstick!!! Happy days in the great white north... more hockey stories of your youth would be cool. Unleash Charley to chase the ball as you can catch her with skates on anyways, she will slip on the ice!

Tom I have to say I am very impressed. I grew up watching your early work and it showed you were quite the absurdist. Which gave me several years of entertainment and joy. Now this new creative direction is very enlightening. I love the great outdoors and I love seeing your experiences uncut and up close. It’s amazing to me to see how you have evolved over the years. You’ve always been hilarious and very talented. That talent has carried you through your youth which was shocking and funny and even gross at times to now where you are sharing your private passions with people and showing them that there is a wonderful world out there filled with wonder and amazement. Thank you for all you do and please keep sharing your life with us!!!
My son grew up being a hockey player in the Az desert, he would have loved that pond in his backyard. So cool.

Can totally relate Tom. I started Bmxing in my late teens. Hung up my boots a couple of times, and that feeling when you pick it up again is pure joy. Hung up my boots most recently in my late 30's a few years ago, but i haven't officially retired yet! lol. Can tell how much youre enjoying it, and you definitely "still got it". Keep it up Tom!

I remember back in the day over twenty years ago, Tom Green was on MTV and going around everywhere. I watched him from my parents house on what was left of an old dairy farm in rural Alabama. Now today, he had moved out to a similar type location, only in Canada, and everyone has UA-cam. The irony of this life never ceases to amaze me.

Tom was a skateboarder before be was a comedian, that's as athletic as any other sport
I did this 2 months ago. Played 11 years as a kid the took 25 years off. It was a rough first couple games but fell in love all over again with the greatest sport ever.

Growing up in Michigan, pond hockey was a rite of passage. Now that I'm old(er) I have the best of both worlds, I live in Florida and work at an ice rink.

oh my goodness! I thought about the same thing for my pond. using water pump. I hope it work for you! When the snow is less than a inch, then just use a large wide push shovel with your skates on. You will be surprised how quick you can get it cleared. anything more than a inch well than your screwed if you cant drive the ATV out. I use my lawn tractor with a blade and almost went in once!

Was never a big fan of hockey and never a huge fan of Tom Green. But this is so cool. Watching a guy who’s seen ups and downs (my guess is mostly ups) out on his own in a Canadian winter, completely content. Gives you something to shoot for in life.

Growing up in Minnesota, pond hockey was a normal part of my upbringing. Now that I live in Texas, I really miss all the winter sports like skating and snowmobiling that were an everyday part of my childhood!
