    Any surface not just painted that would be cool, I thought about trying an experiment and try it on printable vinyl sheets then sealing with clear coat for different looking car decals. But sadly Amazon is out of the Jo Sanja iridescent paint kits and the only other USA store is closed for deliveries at least until next month ;-(

    Beautiful piece, did you apply any kind of sanding sealer or gloss top coat after adding the cloud effects?

    Does this effect only work on black painted WOOD? Or any black painted surface?

      I just parted off the glue block and sanded smooth with a palm sander, I don't currently have a chuck so that was the best way I could think of.

      Hello, you can find airbrush kits on amazon and other websites for pretty cheap. any kind will work for this project.

    God! your shoulders must ache after a session on that lathe! it is far too high to get comfort when turning. The centre line of the lathe axis should be at your elbow height. not 3" above like yours is. Nice work by the way!
