As someone who grew up in the American Southwest, the deep American southwest, and has lived in several locations across it, I can 100% confirm this music literally just softly carries on the wind at all times, but also like 15-20% of the southwest looks like this. A lot of it is actually mountainous forest/forest alpine, along with kinda rocky, mountainous tan wasteland desert with valleys. The whole massive ‘monument valley’ rock spires and beautifully carved slot canyon and Grand Canyon environment is almost exclusively located to northeastern arizona, north western New Mexico, and northern Arizona along border territory of Utah
I also grew up in the American Southwest. I spent the first ten years of my adulthood traveling old desert trails and mountain roads. And you're right, the traditional "desert" landscapes that most people think of make up maybe 20% of the total landscape. The forests are usually made up of Ponderosa pine and juniper trees, or Joshua trees in Nevada and California. There's even the occasional wetland near large desert springs. The desert is a very diverse biome and a lot of people don't know it.
@@AverageJoExplorations my entire family has lived in the southwest for 4+ generations, but it might surprise many just how many diverse places they have all lived even in one region. I'm from eastern Washington rather than the desert, but it's still the West, and we sometimes hear this music as lonely freight trains and farm trucks make their way across the prairie. Usually in October, when the weather is turning colder and the dry, brown grasses dance and the dust swirls as the trains and trucks go by.

Same, took a trip with my dad this year from the upper north west all the way down to east Texas. New Mexico was easily my favorite part of the trip. Even though south NM is boring as hell the north easily made up for that.

As someone who grew up in Tempe, Arizona, i can confirm this is music plays during the apocalypse, as sheriffs and cowboys (sry for the stereotype, its to seem dramatic) look at what's left of the desert from the top of a mountain. Happens every other day, so for anyone who's new to Arizona, to watch it happen, go to the top of a mountain. It's much more cenimatic from up there.

Makes me wanna go hunt for skinwalkers in AZ...
I can't even describe how much I love this.
I just found it today, and I can guarantee you I'll be playing it many, many times.
Thank you so much for the kind words. So glad you enjoy it!!
Ah yes the days when I was riding as a cowboy in good ol’ Arizona!
Love these tracks so much! Perfect to listen to while writing a western-themed novel!
Texas ain’t the wild west
@@cadecampos2489 Arizona?
@@cadecampos2489 it is the wild west. Or at least the western part is!
@@kneD-e yes but West Texas is also part of the wild west!
This is exactly what I hear whenever I see a tumbleweed skip over a central Arizona road
excellent timbres, loving from Turkey
I keep coming back to this when I get a chance to relax.
Howdy - Remember its not a new day until the head hits the hay :)
But when I do lay down - its great. Great tunes.
I'm writing a western screenplay on mountain men of the 1840s. Great music to write to!!!! ❤
That is awesome!!! I would absolutely love to read/watch that. Good luck with the screenplay!
@@audioexpanse thanks! And thanks for the inspiration. 💙💙💙
When I am wearing my mountain man attire I hear this music and gaze longingly towards the sunset
I'm listening to this while reading the manga Steel Ball Run, it's about cowboys and jockeys fighting in a conspiracy, this video really gives it awesome vibes !
Once I get caught up to SBR in the manga I'm gonna have to remember to play this playlist! Watched the anime all the way up through Vento Aureo and started the manga at the beginning.
I'm currently running a D&D campaign loosely based on Steel Ball Run, lifting the concept of a cross-country race and mysterious relics with power.
Jojo's bizarre adventure is great and all but Steel Ball Run is by far the best part lol
same
Duuuude I just binge read SBR a few days ago and totally forgot about this ಥ╭╮ಥ
That's exactly how it has to sound.
That's how the homeland sounds.
❤❤❤💯🤠
I get out of bed, throw on my jeans, boots, and hat and walk out onto my porch to gaze out at the Montana Mission Mountains and hear this in my head.
Yep, heard this exactly when lived in SW. Live in Appalachian mtns now, and it has more of a misty mtn flair.
"This towns too big so we'll both have to share it"
I love western ambient music especially when there is senery in the backround.
