Intermediate itself is a trash. At least ban board exams in First Year and put all such policies in second year.This will save four months of time.
One needs to come out of notion that College education is compulsory. It's absolutely not. There are thousands odd ways to make a living and getting degrees is just one of those. One should always know / pursue his passions. The problem comes only when Child/ His or her family has no clarity even when Child is 16years of age. They take up this most common route. ( sorry to say but its a herd mindset). So college education is the penality, which lot of atudents end up paying, for lacking clarity or not doing some SWOT till last minute. Again in college, it's not mandatory to pursue dreams such as IIT/NIT. Life is simple, if you want more you need to work more. If you work against your interests it's Stress. If you work in your area of interest, it's Passion.
Board Exams in FY are planned by some thoughtful academicians. This is the very reason why pass percentage in Telangana/AP state board is more than that in others.In school students are used to last minute preparations. This will not be of great help in College where you need to plan your preparation few months prior. Just having a single exam which is very important ( it determines you College seat) once in the end creates lot of panic and adds to the stress of students. This will also not let the students' prepare for competitive exams along with boards. This is exactly the reason why most ppl in North take a year after +2 to complete their exam preparation. Here is system, ppl write exam in first year, many fall short of their expected mark. Learn from their mistakes, give improvement exams. Finally with experience plan their 2nd year boards. This is definitely a time waste exercise for som top cream who are very well planned and are gifted but a Boon to average and below average students. Education system is very simple to understand and equally simple to have a day but Highly complex when it comes to execution. It is an Excercise on independent species, the results of which are reflected years later. It cannot just be some random experiment like in other feilds as correction of mistakes done is almost irreparable.

In India education is just a business since 162 years.IIT JEE Coaching Centres show dual standards.If they make students sit for 12-14 hours without leaving any time for self study then teach them assuming that their knowledge is zero.Or else let the working hours be less with ample amounts of assignments given not just that.Exams do not enhance the value of any subject.None of these State Board Colleges shamelessly have any tolerance towards failures,debacles etc.Even if it is Passion all coaching institutes destroy it.Teachers shall need to cater to every single need of a student with respect to learning.e.A teacher as a father needs to respect a students debacle and help him come out of it.Instead all teachers of coaching centers heckle,man handle or both demoralizing and demotivating them further especially after the first year.Merge Board of Intermediate into SSC like other state boards then let us see the reaction of all intermediate faculty.For all institutes education is just business who depend on 20% of the toppers for survival no matter whatever might happen to the rest of the students.
