Gunjan, I have watched many of your videos and, I must say, you have done an absolutely phenomenal job. As a growing chess player, your hard work has really helped not only me, but many other chess players around the world prosper their game. I encourage every serious chess player to watch GJ and learn from his brilliant mind. Thank you GJ!
I really liked the way Gunjan demonstrates any chess games. It looks so natural to him with so much conviction. I saw some masters reviewing chess games who looked unprepared in discussing the game variations. More power GJ!
"The only option left is to shake the hands" :) Cool! But I also like how you say "My opponent resigned over here" with such a despising intonation. Thanks for another great video, Gunjan!
Thank you very much for another excellent lesson GJ! I very much enjoyed your talk through the various parts of this one, and I admire your style! I found myself correctly assessing the moves you asked us to guess, especially qb7! Great stuff! ;-)
You are amazing..! I have watched all your videos and they are all just fantastic. All those nasty gambits, tricks and traps..!!! Keep making more videos. I enjoy them.
Hi, GJ!!!! I always battered my computer with blaks in his English opening...After 1) c4-e4 2) Kc3 Bc5 then it almost always plays 3)Ke4....and here I play 3) ...b6 BAAAAAM !!! He-he he :))) Hope you won't get me wrong. I like and appreciate you a lot! Robert from Romania
Great video! I always enjoy your laughs and enthusiasm. I request a video on the wing gambit. You touched on it briefly on your sicilian defense video.
Beautiful attacking games. The white moves are the kind real club players make, so the analyses are very useful, but even if White varies, Black will get an open game with easy development and good attacking prospects. Thanks for this well-done and very educational video!
0:01 Introduction 0:28 Opening line of reversed grand prix 0:58 Ideas if white dont play e3 1:31 If e3, we play d5 anyway. 2:36 Chapter 1: Bxd5, we play Nb4 -and the moves Bg2 (imidiate bishop retreat) or d4 dont work for white. 3:55 Chapter 1: Bxd5, Nb4, d3 - best move for white, we play c6. and best reply for white is a3. 4:39 Chapter 1: Very forcefull example line if white plays d3, then retreat delayed with Bg2 instead of a3. (Bxd5, Nb4, d3, c6, Bg2). 7:58 Chapter 2: Nxd5, we respond with Nxd5. 8:33 Chapter 2: Nxd5, Nxd5, cxd5, if white play d4, we play as usual e4. 8:58 Chapter 2: Nxd5, Nxd5, cxd5, d4, e4, bc1, Qxd5, if white play a3; example line where we try exploit weak white squares and can get a strong pawn center. 10:46 Chapter 2: Nxd5, Nxd5, cxd5, if white play better with d3; the c6 gambit line! 11:13 Chapter 2: c6 gambit line, if white play a3. 11:25 Chapter 2: c6 gambit line a3 variation with Bd2 12:03 Chapter 2: c6 gambit line a3 variation where white sacks rook. 13:40 Chapter 2: c6 gambit line dxc6 variation (if white play dxc6 instead of a3). 15:58 Chapter 3: cxd5, we respond with Nb4 again. 16:17 Chapter 3: cxd5, Nb4, d4 19:40 Chapter 3: cxd5, Nb4, d3: Gambit line with Rf7. Very nice video again Gunjan with nice tricks in long variations. I find it a bit messy for me to find out the lines, meaning to remember witch moves that belong to what lines. So i thought some chapters would be helpful. So i added some chapters here with timestamps 😀
Can you please do a video about the wayward queen attack? With all the tricks and traps included ? I have learnt a lot from your videos and I wish you see what are your thoughts on the wayward queen attack. Good job and keep the videos coming.
Thank you for replying to my comment friend. At the moment I am just a 700 rated player, which i feel I can improve, but my weakness lies in seeing the long term plans. In my rating lot of people use this attack for a quick check mate or an aggressive attack on the black pieces Well the wayward Queen starts off with e4, e5, qh5. After this I wish to know what you would proceed with. Many new chess players who follow your channel might appreciate your views on this opening. As a big fan I hope you make more videos in the future as it really helps out :)
Super awesome move GJ_chess, again thnk you so much for this wonderfull triks from chess, this could help me rank up in chess compitition, cheerrrssss.....!!!!!!!
very interesting video...as usual as all your "trick" videos! It would be interesting for the future (and fun too) to see you in some play games played on internet (bullet, rapid or classic). Have a good day
Your videos are great, and even funny with your "bams" and some of your expressions! Is it possible to use some of these same lines with white, for example in some lines against the Sicilian (where white would began with e4, Nc3, f4)?
I enjoy the Dirty Tricks very much, and have used them successfully in my games. The first four seem to not be downloadable, and for me that means almost unwatchable. If there are settings, could you adjust them so that I could better appreciate and incorporate the first four videos into my repertoire? Many Thanks.
Hey GJ, If we can get more Nc6 accepted variation it would be really helpful. I strongly believe it is a powerful gambit but very sharp. I believe that we must know what to do after the opening !!!. So if possible please try to have more Nc6 accepted games.
6:36 not ...Rf7 but ...Qe1 wins the bishop. bishop is pinned, so king must move: Kf2? loses to ...Qxh1, bishop is still pinned. therefore: Kg2...Qe2 Kh3...Qxf3
Hi, just a suggestion, if you could also record some of your games against good players and post them with commentary, that would be cool. And you played against chessnetwork?
Black is not allowing White to free its Rook.. after Qxe3+ Kg2. White defends the Bishop and now the Rook can enter in the game. Of course Black has a better game yet.. but when the Queen is on second file the White don't have a good way to free the Rook, when Black is bringing the second Rook to f collumn to improve his position.. That's is a stronger idea..
Hello, at 11:13 best move for White is Qb3 and we end up in kinda bad shape. What would be your thoughts ? I cant find any plan on how to counter this move
Inspiring opening! Thanks for sharing ^^ One question would be: can White English players somehow avoid facing a reversed grand prix approach (like this one in the video) from Black against the English opening, or somehow Black is allowed to learn just one philosophy (the reversed grand prix) and at most adapt it to variations to the white setups?
As you see in this video, all the tricks here is based on white playing e3 on move 5. If instead white play d3. None of the tricks in this video works. So if you are scared of these tricks as white, you could consider d3 instead. Or, if you like to play this variation as black. You can learn it as white also.. there is no traps if white knows all the best moves... at least in the opening.. if you know them. You will not run into that traps if you are aware of them.. There are some gambit lines here... witch means , in these variations white did the best moves or so... and black can still offerca pawn to try lure opponent into a position where a sharp attack can happen. But in most gambit lines... if opponent is prepared and find the good moves.. usually they have material advantage.
I think the best line for white is shown in the end at 19:40. Those are perhaps the simple and safe moves... also most natural. I dont think most player's doing a Francesco with the lightbsquare bishop in move 6 will give it away for a knight trying to win a pawn.. its much more natural to hit with pawn first.. so cxd5, and then d3 to block the knight check in right way. Yes there is a suggested gambit line here.. but black is by no means winning by force.. white has to blunder into some trap or attack, right?
And at 20:58 perhaps you dont give up light square bishop to win a pawn. You simply dont accept the gambit. You dont even have to play Qb3. You can find other moves. The probability that you get into this exact line and black plays this exact gambit against you are anyway extremly small.
If your question is to prevent revers3d grand prix totaly, ithink you can do it by avoiding playing g3 and the king side fiancetto. Because, remember, when you play the english, c4 on move one, and black plays the main move, e5, you are already in a reversed sicilian.. witch is a good thing😊 not bad playing a sicilian with extra tempo. If you play g3 and king side fiancetto. You basicaly enter the reversed variations of sicilan where black play c5(sicilian) g6, Bc7, and often Nc6... and here white can play rosolimo, grand prix, closed sicilians, mc donald attack etc.
dear sir do you have any simpler theory what can we do while playing game ? your theory is good but when i play with someone he response different and i stuck and fail
+SoyGuapoYRico He didn't see that because it's not there. First of all, you mean a4 and not h4. Second of all, the knight is protected by the bishop. Your queen check simply wastes times after Black plays ...Bd7.
Gunjan, I have watched many of your videos and, I must say, you have done an absolutely phenomenal job. As a growing chess player, your hard work has really helped not only me, but many other chess players around the world prosper their game. Great video as usual. I was looking for a good system against the English Opening so I'm really grateful to you, Mr GJ_Chess!

Great stuff! ;-)
I love it, i've played it as white, but couldnt manage to play it as black.
Thank you very much.
GJ chess, it's a long time since you upload the last video, your video have helped me play back so much, hope you upload more, please!!!!
nice work bro. i still play this line as black but i do not play d5 but d6,Be7,0-0,Qe8,Bd8 etc. (dutch pattern). now onward i'll start playing d5..
You are amazing..! I have watched all your videos and they are all just fantastic.
All those nasty gambits, tricks and traps..!!!
Keep making more videos. I enjoy them.
Please make a video on ruy Lopez tricks
I love when he says bam,,, and to his horror
I've learn most of your video GJ even though i did not use it always but it gives me an idea how to react on it! Thanks for sharing your great tricks!
Hi, GJ!!!! I always battered my computer with blaks in his English opening...After 1) c4-e4 2) Kc3 Bc5 then it almost always plays 3)Ke4....and here I play 3) ...b6 BAAAAAM !!! He-he he :)))

thnks for sharing; as usual, the video is quite useful in understanding the basic concepts behind specific openings as well as traps
Great video! I always enjoy your laughs and enthusiasm. I request a video on the wing gambit. You touched on it briefly on your sicilian defense video.
wonderful! thank you GJ for sharing your expertise. I will be following you always.

Thanks for the advice! Many of my opponents play the English.
Thanks so much for this video! What great lines and combinations! Love love love your stuff.
Thank you Gunjan. :)

ab you should play Nc6 followed by g6 and kick away the queen
Love your dirty tricks videos a lot, Gunjan! They're both instructive and entertaining, which is a great combination, if you ask me :-) Cheers mate
you are the best chess teacher!
thank for your free tutorial sir GJ its help me to develop my tactics in this game hope you have more vedio
Thank you mr GJ. Brillliant.
Super awesome move GJ_chess, again thnk you so much for this wonderfull triks from chess, this could help me rank up in chess compitition, cheerrrssss.....!!!!!!!
Great video as always. Can you post some of your tournament games? I'd enjoy seeing some games of yours under classical time control
thanx for the great trick .i will definitely try this on one of my friends ..!!!
very interesting video...as usual as all your "trick" videos!
It would be interesting for the future (and fun too) to see you in some play games played on internet (bullet, rapid or classic).
Have a good day
Nicely done GJ .. As always
Keep it up 👍👍
Dirty chess tricks is very very attratictive
At 2nd option: cxd, Nb4, Consider Qa4+
Thank you ! 😎👍
Uau...07:30 Queen Capture x g2 ! BANG !!! FANTASTIC MOVE !
Derek Liu right: 7.22 Bxf1. Nothing pinned. White wins there, after black Rf1+, Bxf1 . What you do with king? Looks nothing, and white wins
Ahh. see at last. Thank you GJ :)
Nice 1 Gunjan
Your videos are great, and even funny with your "bams" and some of your expressions!
Is it possible to use some of these same lines with white, for example in some lines against the Sicilian (where white would began with e4, Nc3, f4)?
really cool thanks
Thanks for sharing 👍
after a long time... :) ITS AMAZING
Great vid
15:33... Txe2 ,BANG ! FANTASTIC MOVE !!!
Likewise this one. But #5 - #11 are delightful.
Leonard Myers What are you using to download them? I haven't had a problem downloading 1-4 with freemake video downloader.
That's the downloader that I use. It's a mystery. So it's something on my end. Thank you Chris, and GJ_Chess.
you are genius .
awesome video
@18:28 pawn capture f3 was good move.
Can u upload a video which includes best reply or trap against opening of pawns to d4 , e4 following a bishop pawn all in same row
Awesome.
share some tricks to tackle with early queen move.
Hey GJ,
If we can get more Nc6 accepted variation it would be really helpful. I strongly believe it is a powerful gambit but very sharp. I believe that we must know what to do after the opening !!!. So if possible please try to have more Nc6 accepted games.
19:34 thats a monster knight!
Would you recommend this line or the reverse Rossolimo?
they say that the best attack is a brilliant defense, do you agree with that?
At 7: 27 I don't think Kh2 is a forced move.BxRf1 is also a option...
Great.
One of my qns please explain the moves if at 20 min 30 sec situation white plays night f3 or e4
11:39 knight d2 give discaver check and wining queen
I thought about this too, however checkmate is also good
d5 push remind me of ''Attacking theory''...Attack the Strongest Square :-----
6:36 not ...Rf7 but ...Qe1 wins the bishop. bishop is pinned, so king must move: Kf2? loses to ...Qxh1, bishop is still pinned.
therefore: Kg2...Qe2 Kh3...Qxf3
Hi, just a suggestion, if you could also record some of your games against good players and post them with commentary, that would be cool. And you played against chessnetwork?
Not likely to raise your FIDE rating. But still very interesting.
Amazing
Nice
Keep continuing the amazing tricks
Why don't you play more tournaments?
I saw your FIDE Rating and it says you only played 3 tournaments
Amazing---
Learn the grand prix but the problem is white a move ahead.. And in the sicilian.... Black is tempo down.
brilliant! :)
What application do you use in this video?
around 6:50 why not Qxe3+? Because of the rook on f7 this seems to win the white bishop. What am I missing?
Black is not allowing White to free its Rook.. after Qxe3+ Kg2. White defends the Bishop and now the Rook can enter in the game. Of course Black has a better game yet.. but when the Queen is on second file the White don't have a good way to free the Rook, when Black is bringing the second Rook to f collumn to improve his position.. That's is a stronger idea..
Dear GJ, can you please type the name of the attack that you speak at1:06 ?
Hey at 3:24 if he plays d4 why cant black simply capture the bishop
Hello, at 11:13 best move for White is Qb3 and we end up in kinda bad shape. What would be your thoughts ? I cant find any plan on how to counter this move
e4
nice!
there are a free White queen at time 15:08
B c8
Very powerfull
Solid
What happend to the d5 poon after the bishoop gets back????????
Inspiring opening! Thanks for sharing ^^

7:29 ...Dxg2+ Amazing Move !!!
If you change the video title to "Beating The English" (because it is more famous than the GPatack) , maybe you can get more views.
Nb4, Qa4+?
dear sir do you have any simpler theory what can we do while playing game ?
your theory is good but when i play with someone he response different and i stuck and fail
That's because your not looking at the threat, and response that he doesn't show in the vid is opening a threat. Just look carefully
plz check the 7:22sec where rook gives check and Bishop doesn't captures the rook why?
It’s been 6 years, but I’ll answer. Because it gives QF2#, because the bishop is blocking line of sight to H2
Muito bom
Is the English still played at top level?
Good and all, but how could you forget queen to H4 check, and that knight is a goner even if it goes back. I can't believe you couldn't see that.
+SoyGuapoYRico I see what you mean...did he respond to you?
Andre Janssens No.
+SoyGuapoYRico when in the video?
+SoyGuapoYRico Not sure when you mean, but in most of his lines, the knight is protected by the dark squared bishop
+SoyGuapoYRico
He didn't see that because it's not there.
First of all, you mean a4 and not h4. Second of all, the knight is protected by the bishop. Your queen check simply wastes times after Black plays ...Bd7.
What are you trying to do, Become an Info Commercial with all these ads?
thank you..great upload.whts ur fb id
if kh2 means qg2 + kg2 8rf2+ kh3 rh1+#
8:31 what about Qb3?
Yeah but you didnt cover if cxd5 instead of knight or bishop
No game found
Where is game of bobby fischer
at 8:28 why cant white play qb3?
Why no Baam on 22:46? :)
You sneaky bugger.
