In W@W i would say every 2/5 matches are modded (from personal experience) and Mw2 and bo2 are worse than ever with aimbot (again personal experience though it really only centres around Dom, S&D and the occasional tdm). Mw3 and BO are clean though and W@W is still really fun to play regardless.
Callum 619 depending on what console your talking about on Xbox the 2 most modded games are w@w and cod 4 but on PS3 it's cod 4 w@w and mw2 as you don't need a modded console to mod them games
I always found getting into a 10th prestige lobby really...meh. Like you get your 10th prestige and all the weapons and then it hits you... you have nothing to go for.
Only time I was ranked up on a modded lobby was on CoD4, ranked me up to 10th prestige level 55... when I was 10th prestige level 51. Cheers mate, I appreciated it.
Well you still had fun playing with friends at the time. Chances are you were gonna deranked within 2 months, so using modded lobbies didn’t really mean much. It was more to have all the pro perks and attachments etc to use online.

Well there are three types of console mods I currently know of. USB: This requires you to own a computer and a PC. You're able to get hacked savegames for games like World at War Zombies although it only gives you basic options such as God Mode, Noclip, notarget etc. ISO: This requires you to open up your Xbox 360 and your disc drive and swap a disc while it's spinning fast enough to cut your finger (I've had it happen to me a few times and it absolutely stings), with this you can get professional mod menus such as Project X 2.0 RGH: This requires you to strip your Xbox and solder in specific places from your Xbox 360 to a Glitch Chip. Now with this you're able to get mod menu's like Jiggy's (like me and Marley were using in the video) and run unsigned code. (XeX Menu, Dashlaunch, Freestyle Dash etc). This might have sounded complicated but it's actually really simple. I'm not including any links to mods on here but there are some pretty good websites out there). Also the reason I didn't mention JTAGs or R-JTAGs is because the RGH (Reset Glitch Hack) has taken over.
Once got into a modded BO2 lobby where they made a new game mode that was like Halo's Infected Game Mode. Survivors got a pistol that was a one shot kill, but could only hit fire with a reduced rate of fire. Zombies got a combat knife and 3x speed. There were safe zones and portals and they utilized out of map areas. It was sick.
I remember joining an MW2 match that had super speed and moon jumping. But being the stupid 12 year old I was, I honestly thought that was part of the game.
I remember on MW2. My mate paid £20 psn to a guy hosting a challenge lobby. The guy invited him and deranked him back to level 1 0 prestige. A few days later I was invited to one and got everything without even chasing it. So he paid £20 to get put back to the beginning and I had everything free of charge. Haha good old days

I'm just sitting there at like level 15 trying to grind up through the ranks, and all I can find is modded server upon modded (or, perhaps more appropriately, hacked) server, where I found myself in one that would rank you up in seconds. I got the fuck out of there, looked at my profile, and found I was at level 31 at that point. Like, I want to grind and earn that shit myself, man.
Wow this has brought back so many memories when i was still in school and i met a guy online who lived near me and he always gave me co host and i had the same menu as him... and all these years later iv still not seen a better menu than that one
I was once playing World of War, back in the day on my Xbox 360. This was around when Modern Warfare 3 had released, so WoW had very little activity. I searched for a Team Deathmatch lobby and got into one with complete craziness. Rainbow colors and distorted graphics were just some small hallmarks. Basically, everyone had infinite ammo and could run at the speed of light, and dogs were everywhere. It was absolutely joyous chaos because everyone in the lobby was able to do these things. Another experience I remember was when I had my first console, the Wii (I know, I am very ashamed that this was my first), and I played WoW on it. Every multiplayer lobby, I swear to god, had a nodded of some type. Whether they had infinite rockets or they could fly around, the multiplayer was practically unplayable, except for a minority of multiplayer matches that weren't modded, so I basically just played the campaign over and over. But I agree completely about Black Ops 2, that was a shit show with all the modding.

TOTALLY forgot this until now but I did charge for ms points if I could get it. Bought block or something zombie arcade game. Worth. Im now a game developer and always say i got into game dev from 3d modeling then making the art interactable by coding it. Looking back yes that is a reason but modding consoles / controllers / mw2 was an important step into me understanding how games are made. 13 Year old me was a twat.
Carl Highfield you're right, there's a custom client called iw4x for MW2 and it adds dedicated servers and server side mod support, so you can pick and choose to play custom games like Zombies. worth checking out

I remember when 10th prestige lobbies were running rampant. My friend was actually a legit 9th prestige and decided he was gonna hit 10th for real. He was probably the only player that avoided those lobbies like the plague.
I was once part of a little group of modders modders in CoD 4. They gave me 10th prestige and unlock all, for no reason (probably because I was terrible and they were taking pity on me) but we would regularly get together in full private matches and just have fun with the mods. We only used them in private match though.
You don't realize how much effort modern go to. We have to pay to get online, around £3 each time we get banned. After that, you need to pay for time on a stealth server, or use a free one where you will last about 3 hours before getting banned. It isn't easy.
I was the friend of a friend who had a pet gold fish who's friends cat ate who had a dad who slept with my mum, in fact many mums for that matter. Who had dog which passed my other friends dog in the street who had a sister who used to ask me for an invite.

The first ever online match in World At War was a mod match. People with god mod flying around, multi-coloured writing all over the screen. Absolute chaos, because I was properly trying to play. I also had a hacker in Ghosts on PS3, the final kill cam was him aiming at a random player to me instantly.
I remember once i was in a Black ops 2 lobby and a modder unlocked all the achievements for the game, all the zombies ones and campaign ones. It was pretty fun to gain 800 gamerscore within a minute

My first mod experience was in a zombies game in BO1, gave infinate ammo and unlimited points and allowed us to run wild on the map five. Most fun I've had in a modded lobby, haven't been lucky enough to get into another one sense and every time I load up an online zombies game, I hope to join a modded one.
There was a banging modded mode on Cod 4 (ps3) that was somewhat like the infected mode on MW3 but you could buy guns and health. Every time I selected ground war, I prayed I would get into one of those zombie games
I got LIVE a few years after WaW was relevant, and the first ever online multiplayer match I had in WaW involved me going 0 and 15 because there was an invincible man in the sky with an automatic bazooka.
And i remember in MW2 10th prestige lobbies, you could change your leaderboards stats. You had a button to "real" stats, that were possible with my rank. And the "crazy" stats, 9billion kills. How awesome was that
Modded lobbies are fun. But probably the worst part of modded lobbies were the fact your account can get banned even if you had no control over if you got them or not. This happened to my friend in WaW
i remember installing ‘Elite Mossy’s Patch Blocker’ and jumping straight on the ‘bypass’, instantly getting into modded lobbies and just hoping someone would gift you with a ‘mod menu’ hahahah so many good times on Mw2. i hope they do a remaster. (and don’t ruin it)
im glad that some modders wear capes, even going to save a fellow hero from grinding peril. I also love how some people see me using a FAMAS really well as 'hacking'.
I just remember the classic "Everyone has infinite machine gun speed grenade launchers" game turned from close quarters shooting to essentially launching high intensity mortars at one another from across the map
😂😂 my best memory of a 10th prestige lobby was one time i got an invite from a guy who said "1600 microsoft points and ill give 4 people a 10th prestige lobby" so me and my buddy went looking for 2 people who were willing to go buy this guy his points, and we did find a guy, he litterally said "ok let me go across town to walmart and get them" the guy was gone for like 2 hours i swear, he drove 2 hours round trip to get these points, and when it was all said and done, the guy got the code and instantly left blocking everyone in the game, me and my friend instantly started going crazy making sure they didnt think we were in on it, but in the end its was absolutely hilarious cuz we unknowingly had some guy drive 2 hours and waste 20$ on microsoft pointz
I was playing black ops 2 on PS3 yesterday and joined a game where a kill would give you +9999 score so you could get any score streak instantly. It was chaos, EMPs, warthogs, K-9 units and swarms every second. It was still a pretty fun game though.
Infected was a mod on MW2. I remember playing it while Blops 1 was the current cod and then laughing when it was an actual legitimate gamemode in MW3. You could get out of the map with walkways that were made of care packages. I remember us all trying to get in a building that was outside the map to get the final guy left alive. You had to watch as you could fall through some floors. Was a fun mod but I only ever experienced it on one day. Got to play a good couple of games though.
When I was about prestige 4, level 60 on mw2, I was playing with my friend, and this guy was running around with a barret hitting all his headshots, I killed him with an f2000 (I had just unlocked it) and I got disconnected from the lobby. When my game loaded it said I was 10th prestige I started freaking out, I clicked on my classes and my game froze, my had got corrupted, and I couldn't play. I didn't play cod for a while but I recently got on mw2 and am level 32 now, no prestige and am grinding my way back up. I have probably sent about 30 "r u a modder" messages in the last 2 months to no avail, but thanks for addressing this problem Marley.
MW2 had an insane amount of mods, but I started writing my own mods on COD:WAW and kind of started the PS3 modding scene on there by providing the very first online mod menu. It al seems like a lifetime ago :)
Honestly I remember so many mods from CoD 4 but nothing much from other games. I used to play zombie mod maps on MW long before zombies were officially introduced in WaW. Terrible pixelated 2D sprites moving towards you in thousands while you stand on top of a container on shipment till you run out of ammo. There were vampires vs humans where vampires could move at super speeds and fly but only had a knife while humans were just regular players as well as custom maps with gigantic monsters players had to kill together. Honestly the only mod I remember from MW2 was the 10 prestige lobby. Aaaahhh, good times. This was all on PC btw.
It gets even worse. In Call of Duty 4, if you were deranked into the negatives, it would lock absolutely every game mode because you need to be level 1 to play in the standard playlist. It took me about 2 years to get my account back thanks to a modder, and by then the game was pretty much dead.
I remember going back on an old favourite, Black Ops 1, and remembered that in every single Search and Destroy lobby there was at least 1 or 2 modders who had God mode and invisibility turned on. Just totally ruined the game, because even if you hit em, it did nothing.
As a PS3 gamer, I have definitely seen my fair share of mw3 mods way more than any other game. Mw2 and waw had a lot for sure but I never got into more xp lobbies in any other game than mw3.
Call of Duty World At War had modded XP grinding servers. There were simple rules. Join the "feeder" team, the server keeps u respawning to the same spot constantly, and every feeder can die by a little breeze, earning lots of XP for the killer. Once a feeder reached a good death ratio he was allowed to switch teams, and do the killing. You could just stand in front of the respawning crowd and farm the feeder group. It's something I have never ever expected to see. (PC)
That 10th prestige lobby was crazy. I was 14 i think. Still remember that shit. Fucking crazy fun. Damn Modern Warfare 2 was so amazing. Many many hours spend there
World at War was pretty ride with modders for a time, had some interesting low gravity infinite ammo matches on the likes of Done. Have a zombies mod on my old 360 which I use just for fun with friends, allows the use of the default finger gun, and modifiers in the game mode and different difficulties. Never did manage to get into a 10th prestige lobby in mw2 though, to this day it's one of the greatest mysteries of my life how I never got into one
My first modding experiance was on mw2, hide and seek with super jump, pretty fun and funny to see kids who didnt have commando pro and kept dying due to fall damage.
After ages trying, I eventually got into a 10th prestige lobby. I was up to about 6th prestige when my friend “accidentally” pulled out the PlayStation’s power socket. Haven’t found one again since.
Man, I hated MW2 and I'm not a huge fan of modding in public games, but getting into a 10th prestige lobby on that game was one of the most satisfying things back then

Carl Highfield you're right, there's a custom client called iw4x for MW2 and it adds dedicated servers and server side mod support, so you can pick and choose to play custom games like Zombies. worth checking out

I got 10th Prestiged when I was a noob. Never asked for it, just happened. I had no idea what was going on but everything was unlocked when I got out of the match. Now, who knows how many years later, you explained what happened! LOL Thank you!

I remember when 10th prestige lobbies were running rampant. My friend was actually a legit 9th prestige and decided he was gonna hit 10th for real. He was probably the only player that avoided those lobbies like the plague.

I was once part of a little group of modders modders in CoD 4. They gave me 10th prestige and unlock all, for no reason (probably because I was terrible and they were taking pity on me) but we would regularly get together in full private matches and just have fun with the mods. We only used them in private match though.

You don't realize how much effort modern go to. We have to pay to get online, around £3 each time we get banned. After that, you need to pay for time on a stealth server, or use a free one where you will last about 3 hours before getting banned. It isn't easy.

I was the friend of a friend who had a pet gold fish who's friends cat ate who had a dad who slept with my mum, in fact many mums for that matter. Who had dog which passed my other friends dog in the street who had a sister who used to ask me for an invite.
Best intro and outro music on UA-cam. I hated modded lobbies, it seemed every one i played in was a destructive experience rather than a laugh and a positive experience. No doubt lots of folk had a laugh but i was unlucky i guess.

I was one of the few that had the pleasure of ACTUALLY hosting these :) It was really easy on PS3 for a little bit on MW2 if you had a computer and were somewhat tech savvy, I miss those days :(

The first ever online match in World At War was a mod match. People with god mod flying around, multi-coloured writing all over the screen. Absolute chaos, because I was properly trying to play.
I also had a hacker in Ghosts on PS3, the final kill cam was him aiming at a random player to me instantly.
I remember once i was in a Black ops 2 lobby and a modder unlocked all the achievements for the game, all the zombies ones and campaign ones. It was pretty fun to gain 800 gamerscore within a minute

My first mod experience was in a zombies game in BO1, gave infinate ammo and unlimited points and allowed us to run wild on the map five. Most fun I've had in a modded lobby, haven't been lucky enough to get into another one sense and every time I load up an online zombies game, I hope to join a modded one.
There was a banging modded mode on Cod 4 (ps3) that was somewhat like the infected mode on MW3 but you could buy guns and health. Every time I selected ground war, I prayed I would get into one of those zombie games
I got LIVE a few years after WaW was relevant, and the first ever online multiplayer match I had in WaW involved me going 0 and 15 because there was an invincible man in the sky with an automatic bazooka.
And i remember in MW2 10th prestige lobbies, you could change your leaderboards stats. You had a button to "real" stats, that were possible with my rank. And the "crazy" stats, 9billion kills. How awesome was that
Modded lobbies are fun. But probably the worst part of modded lobbies were the fact your account can get banned even if you had no control over if you got them or not. This happened to my friend in WaW
The only time I saw a modder in COD was in BO2 zombies, best thing was that the modder gave me and my friend the mod menu.
i remember installing ‘Elite Mossy’s Patch Blocker’ and jumping straight on the ‘bypass’, instantly getting into modded lobbies and just hoping someone would gift you with a ‘mod menu’ hahahah so many good times on Mw2. i hope they do a remaster. (and don’t ruin it)

My best modding experience was on BO2 in a search and destroy lobby. A modder unlocked every achievement from the base game for everyone in the lobby.

Joined a modded lobby on World at War earlier this month, was an interesting experience to say the least.
I got into a modded game about 10 minutes ago on bo2 5 minutes later I see this video in my subscription
WAW was the biggest modded thing imo and I remember being the guy that tried to mess with the bad modders in that game
I just remember the classic "Everyone has infinite machine gun speed grenade launchers" game turned from close quarters shooting to essentially launching high intensity mortars at one another from across the map
😂😂 my best memory of a 10th prestige lobby was one time i got an invite from a guy who said "1600 microsoft points and ill give 4 people a 10th prestige lobby" so me and my buddy went looking for 2 people who were willing to go buy this guy his points, and we did find a guy, he litterally said "ok let me go across town to walmart and get them" the guy was gone for like 2 hours i swear, he drove 2 hours round trip to get these points, and when it was all said and done, the guy got the code and instantly left blocking everyone in the game, me and my friend instantly started going crazy making sure they didnt think we were in on it, but in the end its was absolutely hilarious cuz we unknowingly had some guy drive 2 hours and waste 20$ on microsoft pointz
I was playing black ops 2 on PS3 yesterday and joined a game where a kill would give you +9999 score so you could get any score streak instantly. It was chaos, EMPs, warthogs, K-9 units and swarms every second. It was still a pretty fun game though.
Infected was a mod on MW2. I remember playing it while Blops 1 was the current cod and then laughing when it was an actual legitimate gamemode in MW3. You could get out of the map with walkways that were made of care packages. I remember us all trying to get in a building that was outside the map to get the final guy left alive. You had to watch as you could fall through some floors. Was a fun mod but I only ever experienced it on one day. Got to play a good couple of games though.
When I was about prestige 4, level 60 on mw2, I was playing with my friend, and this guy was running around with a barret hitting all his headshots, I killed him with an f2000 (I had just unlocked it) and I got disconnected from the lobby. When my game loaded it said I was 10th prestige I started freaking out, I clicked on my classes and my game froze, my had got corrupted, and I couldn't play. I didn't play cod for a while but I recently got on mw2 and am level 32 now, no prestige and am grinding my way back up. I have probably sent about 30 "r u a modder" messages in the last 2 months to no avail, but thanks for addressing this problem Marley.
MW2 had an insane amount of mods, but I started writing my own mods on COD:WAW and kind of started the PS3 modding scene on there by providing the very first online mod menu. It al seems like a lifetime ago :)

Honestly I remember so many mods from CoD 4 but nothing much from other games. I used to play zombie mod maps on MW long before zombies were officially introduced in WaW. Terrible pixelated 2D sprites moving towards you in thousands while you stand on top of a container on shipment till you run out of ammo. There were vampires vs humans where vampires could move at super speeds and fly but only had a knife while humans were just regular players as well as custom maps with gigantic monsters players had to kill together. Honestly the only mod I remember from MW2 was the 10 prestige lobby. Aaaahhh, good times. This was all on PC btw.
It gets even worse. In Call of Duty 4, if you were deranked into the negatives, it would lock absolutely every game mode because you need to be level 1 to play in the standard playlist. It took me about 2 years to get my account back thanks to a modder, and by then the game was pretty much dead.
I remember going back on an old favourite, Black Ops 1, and remembered that in every single Search and Destroy lobby there was at least 1 or 2 modders who had God mode and invisibility turned on. Just totally ruined the game, because even if you hit em, it did nothing.
As a PS3 gamer, I have definitely seen my fair share of mw3 mods way more than any other game. Mw2 and waw had a lot for sure but I never got into more xp lobbies in any other game than mw3.
Call of Duty World At War had modded XP grinding servers. There were simple rules. Join the "feeder" team, the server keeps u respawning to the same spot constantly, and every feeder can die by a little breeze, earning lots of XP for the killer. Once a feeder reached a good death ratio he was allowed to switch teams, and do the killing. You could just stand in front of the respawning crowd and farm the feeder group. It's something I have never ever expected to see. (PC)
The only experience of a moded lobby was in World at War, best thing ever. Flying dogs/people, rapid fire tanks and last stand with a Tompson.
That 10th prestige lobby was crazy. I was 14 i think. Still remember that shit. Fucking crazy fun. Damn Modern Warfare 2 was so amazing. Many many hours spend there
World at War was pretty ride with modders for a time, had some interesting low gravity infinite ammo matches on the likes of Done. Have a zombies mod on my old 360 which I use just for fun with friends, allows the use of the default finger gun, and modifiers in the game mode and different difficulties. Never did manage to get into a 10th prestige lobby in mw2 though, to this day it's one of the greatest mysteries of my life how I never got into one

After ages trying, I eventually got into a 10th prestige lobby. I was up to about 6th prestige when my friend “accidentally” pulled out the PlayStation’s power socket. Haven’t found one again since.
Man, I hated MW2 and I'm not a huge fan of modding in public games, but getting into a 10th prestige lobby on that game was one of the most satisfying things back then
I remember back on WaW joining and backing out of lobby's on zombies hoping for a modded lobby which was mainly on Der Riese. They would drop every gun in the game by round 1 and would be able to put you in 'jail' if they felt like it. That was the first modding experience I had on a CoD game for me anyway.

one time I got on a modded lobby on Black ops 2, it was a zombie mode on the multiplayer, very well made with points systems, props systems who let you builds barracks against zombies, you were able to buy perks and weapons with accesoires, a very full mod. fun through
Managed to get a legit 10th prestige in MW2 but was deranked in 2011 and lost everything that was grinded for. Never got them back and still haven't felt heartbreak like it since
